Noticing that Jaythroat had also began to follow the trail, Rookslash followed a little slower behind, her sharp yellow gaze intensely scanning the sparse brush. As she she-cat's scent grew stronger, another one also rose to attention. Another cat, not one of the clan however. The fur on her haunches prickling up, Rookslash changed her relaxed stroll to a brisk trot; a beeline in the direction of the cats.

Tumblepaw jumped a bit hearing his mentor's voice. he looked at the kill pile, noticing it was quite low. guilt gnawed at his stomach. he wasn't hungry enough to take from the pile and it would be a waste. "actually, we could go whenever. i'm not that hungry, and we could always just eat whatever i catch?" he offered.

Asterpaw's head shot up as soon as he heard Deerpaw's voice. He was a fan of company, and didn't like to
keep cats waiting, as he hated when it happened to him. "I'd love to. You know, I caught two newts this
morning," He was boasting, it was a common thing from him, "But a hare would probably be better to
share. Agreed?"

Riverfern awoke with a groggy mumble, stretching and surveying the den. She was quick to notice the
family right beside her, but didn't keep her gaze on them for long, not wanting to make them uncomfo
rtable. Shaking out her pelt, she slipped out of the entrance and let out a yawn, padding toward the f
resh-kill pile and picking up a fish.

The massive dark tom opened his scarred blind eyes, hearing the voices coming outside of the mystic's den. He has sorted the herbs and cleaned the den last evening, so as long nobody didn't get in to mess things up when he was sleeping there could not be anything to do now. Time likes this could be a good time to sleep a little bit more, but the awakening clanmates did it to be impossible, maybe he could wait so most cats go to the patrols and leave the camp.

He silently and pretty bored followed after the few other guards, his eyes narrowing toward the smell of Robinpoppy with some other cat he was not sure yet who. A smirk comes to his face "Woohoo! Do I smell a forbidden relationship or a betrayal" he meowed twisting his whiskers, half-joking, as he didn't really care what the scout was doing there?

He sighed "I see...you could have friends if you just give them a chance to try to be your friends" he meowed walking past the young she-cat "let's go then, the camps are not that close," he said silently.

He opened his other eye to look at the cat who dare to wake him up "why could I? My mentor didn't even bother to pick me up or even trying to wake me" he meowed silently "So what do I lose to sleep longer when there is nothing waiting for me" he meowed curling tighter to a ball.

She flicked her ears rather annoyed feeling little jealous too "you did? So you're being up for a long time then?" she meowed to him 'seriously why do they hunt so early? the preys not going anywhere?' she thought herself. She made a quick look elsewhere, facing the tom again "Sure..." she meowed shyly.

She took the last bites to the hare, which were left by her impatient kit "well tha't good to hear everything is going fine with him" she meowed to the tom, quickly swallowing her bites. She then looked over to her kit, with a sight "he is right Meadowkit, you look like giant hedgehog" she meowed pawing the kit closer to her and made a quick clean up to her.

She flinched slightly when GloomyPaw looked at her “Oh...” she started and felt like maybe she should leave but she felt bad learning that his mentor hadn’t tried to wake him “W-well maybe when BlueDusk c...comes for me then we can ask if you can come along too...? T-though I haven’t seen her yet” she responded and gave a nervous smile. She wouldn’t mind having a little competition when training and she’d feel bad leaving GloomyPaw in his nest all day.

It was clear from her voice the river had done its damage. "No ceremonies are needed just yet, so I was thinking of spending the day with my family, if all of you would agree to that.” He couldn’t help but smile at his mate’s agreement, although was a bit worried what Asteroae and Sleetpaw would say.

He nodded to his mate, although gave his daughter a frown. “Don’t fight your mother on this, Meadowkit.” He hadn’t answered her question at first, giving her a serious look. “I think you’re a little small to try to go fishing like that. And you’d be the first to catch a fish like it too.” He added, making sure to say it after she was cleaned a bit better.

He narrowed his eyes at the tom, having paused in tracking his sister. “Even if she did have a wanderer for a mate, it’s not against the code.” It wasn’t often that he growled at anyone, but this was almost driving him to it. Did he really think so low of Robinpoppy to believe that she would betray the clan? He wasn’t even going to answer that part, she wouldn’t do that. Redwillow might have been half-joking but he didn’t really find it all that funny.

Oh, Riverfern is a mother now, she’s expecting.” She racked her brain for anything new that might have slipped her mind, but couldn’t think of anything.

She let out a quiet hum, flicking her ear to show that she heard him. Although she hadn’t really wanted to talk about it too much, but her curiosity took over on that one. And besides, she could travel to each camp and back. "Hey Wolfburr, how would I even make a friend?" She’d never really made one, so she wasn’t too sure about any of it. Would you just walk up to someone and say that you were friends now? Or what would really happen?

Maybe we could go hunting to that outsider a good meal too and make the warmest nest into our best den just for the cat" he snarled rather annoyed to the tom.

He looked at her thinking, the truth was that he didn't have many friends either as an apprentice, except for his siblings, but he was alone mostly because his shyness "Well, For the first, you could start to talk with the other apprentices...cats, find something similar about your likings, it's faster things..." he meowed thoughtfully.

Cleaning the last part of her pelt she let her go "now, you're done and ready to get wet" she laughed. She made a quick look to Riverfern there wondering if she could take some time to talk with then newly queen.

He almost wanted to roll his eyes at the other guard’s answer, lashing his tail. “Wanderers are to be welcomed with caution. That’s the whole point.” Did he not have a brain anymore? Well, he was accusing Robinpoppy of betraying the clan, of all cats. His sister was least of all betraying her home and family, he scoffed, only walking faster to hopefully not pick a fight with a fellow guard.

"o-h...." Her tail lowered and she started to back up from GloomyPaw "s-sorry to bother you....." She frowned and began heading towards the entrance of the To be's den. She was just trying to be kind to him but now she regretted it. Sometimes she wondered if it'd be best if she just avoided talking to other cats, it always frightened her if they got upset and angry. It already took enough courage just to go up and talk to some cat, when they get angry she just feels her ability to talk suddenly disappear.

PetalStream nodded to her apprentice before she turned and continued on walking. She slowed down as she began to think about where they should head to hunt and decided to go towards one of the many lakes in the territory. She stopped and turned towards TumblePaw, deciding to let him choose what he'd like to hunt "Alright, I'll give you a choice today. We can either fish or search for prey on land" She stated. She scented some newts and a hare nearby but she could also see a fair amount of fish close to the surface which would be perfect to catch.
