Shian and Flatterina summed up anything I’d add.
I love this site. This is a cool game. It just feels dead now —though I highly appreciate and love the updates that rockruff listed. It’s why I made the suggestion of more help coding

Your suggestion is what inspired this thread so I'm glad you agree!

A few things I wanted to say; I'll post an actual explicit opinion later if I feel up to it

  • We also got ChickenPaint. Even if Nick started with a base... like... wow I was amazed (but I am also a baby programmer so I get amazed easily but I am still amazed)
  • Before December 2018, we didn't get much. Dress-up scenes and ChickenPaint are the only two big updates I can think of. Unless you count the summer event race animations that started with the summer event in 2017
  • Even if code is reused for the summer events, there's probably still a lot of wrangling since they're not all literally copy-paste
  • 2019 + Dec 2018 was amazing for updates. The best year for updates that we've had, like, EVER. By FAR. Other than 2009.
  • Mentioned this on another thread, but some small updates probably still require high user permissions while other small updates don't. The examples I gave: Adding a "Move this pet..." link on pet pages is a small update but I bet you need to at least know how CS's databases are set up so that you can actually move the pet. However... a confirmation for logout? That's a few lines of JavaScript that should work on basically anything, last time I checked, and it's borderline JS 101 (it's maybe like JS 201). Even without a non-JS fallback we should still catch a good chunk of users

edit: lol I saw a mod pop into this forum and then leave I think y'all's current posts are fine
Spread the word to end the word, because discrimination based on perceived or actual IQ/"intelligence" is no better than discrimination based on race, gender, etc.

Context, consistency, and clear antecedents are golden.
I neither read nor speak between the lines. But I will analyze your language.

I think it would be really nice to have more open communication about what is going on with the site. I have been here for 10 years now and like several people have mentioned, until last year the updates were almost non existent. I have been here so long and really nothing much has changed. It would be awesome to know when things are in the works or what to expect in the year to come. It just feels kind of like a dying site compared to other sites who are always announcing things coming up. I get it is so hard with only one coder (which is why I heavily support getting more coders) but something does need to be done.

I was going to write my opinion and i saw others already said whatever i was going to say :>

There are some reasons for why not every of suggestions being done:

1. Staff of CS are humans (or furries) and not server machines to say 'Ok it'll be done asap.' They're busy for their real life issues. What makes scene is That Nick is only the coder for CS, he's also busy irl. I think tat's cool that if they hire coders, But they're probably worried that they hack their site.

2. So we suggest easily only with creating new topic, writing and then posting, But what about Its coding? Is this as easy as what we do? Of course it isn't!
As a web developer, I know how hard is programming web pages, I'm not even a beginner to say that cuz i don't know about coding. Making a new feature requires Debugging, coding, Even designing, Harder than its coding is checking its bugs and holes, Cuz if that has bugs that makes Hacker's hand open They'll scam as much as they want and they'll ruin the Fairness balance.

Well, yes, that's certainly true, but a bit beside the point.
The problem isn's that not all suggestions are being realized. It's that popular suggestions have been around for years and there's not been any word of feedback from the admin team. That's what this suggestion is for.

I didn't disagree with you ^v^"! I just couldn't continue my writing on my post, btw i'm writing these here:
I don't like CS Like that because:

I take Flightrising as an Example. CS created on 2008 and FR created on 2013, I'm shocked about that FR is more advanced and popular than CS, Why? FR team has almost 3 active developers, Even they're busy but they work on FR as best as they can, They let people to earn money with playing games and buying stuff and dragons with, they let players to play just more than collecting dragons. But that doesn't apply for CS that only we can collect pets or trade them.
Again i want them to hire Coders for CS, I really love CS and of course i don't want chicken smoothie die
I love to code for that site if i was a CS developer.

BTW I'm listing things that i was suggested before but they got locked:
~Auction room to let people sell their pets and items for C$.*
~Some areas to explore and find items ,pets and even secret areas!
~Allowing users to login with Email cuz it's trouble to login with username who has special chars in his/her username.*

alright whatever i'm derailing, i just came here to share my opinion
i think that while the staff shouldn't feel pressured to reply to posts on this board, we really do need at least weekly updates on any small bugfixes or planned features.

I know there's a forum about that, but it's similar to not having a place to adopt pets but having a forum to put pets in it.

Why not like flightrising and other gaming sites, they've both auction place and forum to post trades :|

    heres my two cents

ive used this site for as long as i can remember, i grew up with it, and as i got older, it occured to me how staff work on this site.
the way i see it, tess and nick are in over their heads. i just feel, if they weren't, the site would be in a different place. the site focuses more on child protection/coppa rules than most sites, and the site itself is pretty complex.
mods are busy with everything else, i feel as if suggestions get pushed all the way to the end of the chain, the backburner if you will. some get implemented, talked on, but there has been a plethora of great suggestions that have been on this forum long enough to have the coding done for it. its just the admins don't pay attention to this. they pay attention to the site as a whole, the community, money, and their own livelihoods. with everything on nicks plate, im not surprised he doesnt hop onto the suggestion forum once a week to review all the great suggestions.
hiring more coders would be the most beneficial action, right next to increasing community communication with the people who actually created the site. sometimes it feels like tess and nick are more figureheads now, not actual admins.

nobody is doing anything wrong. all the community asks for, is communication between admins and users. more updates on the front page, interact with different users. actually acknowledge the suggestions instead of mentally acknowledging it and putting it on a to-do list. tell us what you're planning, thinking, keep us in the loop.
