you enter the bathroom, only to find
a clumsy popplio slipping and sliding
around the bathtub clumsily, trying to
get out...
it seems like it's been stuck here for a
while...forgotten.
and it's malnourished...
the pokemon lets out a terrified yelp,
cornering itself in the tub.

"Oh, Arceus!" Eva whispered, heart practically breaking in her chest as she stared at the poor, quivering little Popplio in the tub. She set the backpack down immediately, and reached out to offer a hand to the seal pokémon. It flinched away from her touch at first, before slowly leaning forwards and allowing itself to be pet. "You poor thing," she cooed, stroking it gently. "Who could've left a little critter like you here, all alone?"
"Prrrrr... plio," it sighed, licking Eva's hand. She looked at it again, seeing the scratch marks on the porcelain from an obvious effort to break free of the cage. Without hesitation, she leaned over and scooped the Popplio up, taking it out of the tub and carrying it into the main bedroom area.
"I can't believe the cruelty of some people," Eva halfway snarled as she pawed through her bags, before she emerged with a case of food and water. "Here you go, dear," Eva said, offering it to the Popplio. "You should eat." The Popplio nosed at the food, as if in disbelief that it was real, before tearing into it with a vengeance, letting out pleased sounds as it did.
Eva's heart clenched. She then pulled a pokéball out from her bag, and set it down on the bed. Once it was fed and rested by the next morning, she could ask the poor thing if it wanted to accompany her and her team. But for now, she just watched the little creature, patiently waiting for it to finish up before even thinking about heading to bed.
