Dawnpaw slowly treaded back to camp, being careful not to drop any of the flowers in her mouth, and to make sure that no branches rid her of the chamomile, either. The day was bright and cheery; a good, promising day at that. Dawnpaw couldn't wait for the next gathering, however. It seemed like forever since the last gathering, where she had been much more extroverted than usual; talking with the other medicine dogs and apprentices. Even listening to the stories of other elders was fun, interesting even, to learn about the pasts of different packs.

The warrior didn't mind walking slowly and glanced around, enjoying the frogs croaking around them. It wasn't what other clans liked, but Applefrost found peace in the Shadowpack territory and all of its quirks. The other packs seemed too alike at times, and it was hard to tell them apart. Other than Riverpack, she wasn't sure which was which. Besides, she didn't talk to many dogs at gatherings and kept to her pack.

The mist around the forest was already making Firelight nervous. She took in what Mischief had said but that didn't make it any better. What if we're not fast enough? What if they're as savage as I heard they are? Even if I'm a wolf hybred I don't think I'd win and make it out alive. And what of Mischief? She's much to small to fight, I hope the bell on her collar or our meat give us away.

Satisfied that she'd gotten her Pack's attention, she sat down leisurely on the Twisted Rock and began her announcement. "I've summoned you here because - besides that I was bored - we've recieved some visitors. I trust you've all 'acquainted' yourselves with them, yeah?" She indicated Spotted with her muzzle, not even bothering to add Hawk into the gesture. She turned back to the Pack, barking with a knowing smirk, "Originally, I took them for a couple of lost morons. However, that assumption was inaccurate - mostly. They're a couple of pack-seeking morons. For now, they will be accepted as the lowliest warriors of our esteemed ranks." Descending down from the rock with a few graceful leaps, she stood before the siblings, nodding toward them with a mischievious jerk of her head, a smile, and a casual wag of her tail. Although she looked at Spotted, she spoke to the crowd. "I don't expect you all to trust them right away, as I don't, nor do I encourage you to. In fact, I want you to keep an eye out for particularly odd behavior, which should be reported to me, Flowerpetal, or Needlefang immediately. However, I would appreciate it if you could begrudgingly accept that they're allowed to exist here...for now." Her eyes squinted in thought as she looked Spotted up and down, pondering a proper name. Finally, she announced grandly, "Please welcome Spottedfeather -" she glanced for the first time of the meeting at Hawk, eyes glittering with clear loathing despite her smile, "and Hawkfeather."

She'd been walking for quite a while before she finally halted. She whirled around to face her traveling companion in energetic fashion, dropping her meat at Firelight's paws without warning. "Good news and bad news!" she yipped with potent excitement. "The good news first because bad news sucks: I definitely know where we are and we're making good progress! The bad news: If we've actually been going the wrong way by some small - but still entirely possible - chance, then we've set our progress back by like, a lot." Tilting her head and grinning like she hadn't just delivered such potentially unsettling information, she whirled around again, this time to face a large tree. "But never fear! I can check." Mischief sprinted towards the tree and hurled herself at its trunk, digging her claws into its uneven surface to get a grip. She began scaling it easily enough, but her collar was making noise all the while, she was making distinct, scent-riddled clawmarks in the bark, and she had to climb higher than she would've initially guessed to see over the treeline.

"Be careful." She called softly. She then kept a lookout, the mist making it hard to see so she sniffed for trouble and cringed whenever Mischief's bell rang out.

She narrowed his eyes when the Velvetstar let the two dogs join then pack, so far she has nothing against Spotted or Spottedfeather for now, but the male looked a little bit suspicious, but so far she kept her thought to herself, not wanting to judge him for no reason.

She thought for a moment "well eh? She is a fine leader...I don't really know her that way, even if she is my leader I am not that close with her, but she is not bad one" she told the pup. She turned to see the leader when she let the two dogs join the pack "see that's her" she said.

Spottedfeather looked back at Snowstorm, a hint of happiness despite the growing feeling of others' eyes clawing at her back. Hawk snorted to himself, clearly unimpressed by his sister.

Fawnfoot made his slow stroll down the thunderpath. Resting nearby had been more boring today with fewer monsters to roar by and ruffle his long coat. His curly tail lay across his back comfortably as he padded through the light forest close to the road. He stopped every once in awhile to freshen the territory markers but didn't have much of an aim in where he was going otherwise. The scent of the Twoleg place began to drown out any scent of the thunderpath he could smell as he moved along. He had always secretly wondered what it would be like to live outside of a pack. He'd never turn his back on Shadow Pack but something seemed so curious about the life of other dogs. Speaking of other dogs... Fawnfoot stopped and lowered his head to sniff what seemed to be a scent trail of two dogs he hadn't smelt before. Simply for the sake of finding something interesting to do, he followed the scent trail deeper into the Shadow Pack territory.

The shepherd mongrel made his way through the woods, following the unfamiliar scent trail. From the smell of it, he figured it was females and two of them but maybe more. Fawnfoot was never much of a tracker. An odd sound drifted toward him on the wind as the scent grew closer. Like a jingling of a weird bird or something from in the trees? He had never heard a bird make a noise quite so weird before though.

Normally, Rive would enthusiastically greet a new warrior by barking their new name with the rest of ShadowPack, but on this occasion, she was silent. Taking a cue from Velvetstar's obvious distaste for the newcomers -especially the one newly-dubbed as Hawkfeather- Rive felt her uneasiness growing. She was unused to seeing other dogs outside of her own packmates unless she was at a gathering. To have strangers just show up, and then be expected to treat them with some degree of warmth, was asking a lot of a dog that was so painfully aware of her physical shortcomings that she had good reason to fear for her safety. Rive could put up with some harshness from ShadowPack, but Spottedfeather and Hawkfeather had not earned that level of loyalty or truth. She felt unsafe, exposed, invaded by these dogs, and cast an uneasy glance at Needlefang to see if she felt the same.

She Started to smell an unfamiliar scent from what she could could tell the dog was a male and he was alone. No dought he could hear Mischief's bell. "Mischief! get to a branch and stop moving!" She said as quietly as she could hoping that Mischief heard her and the male dog didn't. She then stood over their meat in a defensive stance, ready to defend Mischief, the meat and herself if need be.
