Welcome to the new, updated Readoption Centre for Rainbow Paint Wolves!

How does the pound system work?
The RPW pound is for members who want to readopt their RPWs, but don't want to or don't have the time to judge the competitions. When a member puts their RPW in the pound, staff will judge the forms for that RPW. However, members may only put their RPWs in the pound during the stocking period. The stocking period either runs for two weeks OR until there are ten-fifteen RPW's in the pound (depending on supply).

During the stocking period, other members may not post forms for the RPWs being put in the pound! Instead, members must wait until adoption month. Only during adoption month, lasting 30 days, can members try out for the RPWs in the pound. New forms to put RPWs in the pound must wait until adoption month is over. After adoption month is over, the stocking period will begin again.

Adopting Rules
• Follow the criteria of said-RPW given by the previous owner.
• Do not spam this thread. Posting multiple times in a row and posting irrelevant content are consider spam. If you try for several RPWs, please put all their forms in the same post OR make your own separate thread.
• If you do not win the RPW you tried for, please do not attempt to harass or guilt trip the winner; and instead be respectful and kind to the winner.
• Please keep forms to around 3000 words maximum.
• Headers in your form, as well as the general information needed (for example, the RPWs original name, new name, your username ect) do not count towards the word limit.
• You may only try for three RPWs per round/each adoption month.
• You may not post forms for RPWs during the stocking period. You must wait until adoption month begins.

Stocking Period Rules
• ***NEW*** Due to the species re-opening after a year, as long as you get permission from any Staff Member you can have your old RPW placed in the pound!
• Do not readopt RPWs that do not belong to you.
• You cannot reclaim your RPW after you have put it back up for adoption.
• You must have permission from the original artist before putting an RPW back up for adoption. If the artist is inactive or is taking a while to respond, you may instead contact an administrator for permission. (This is for RPWs who are released past January 31st, 2020)
• Mated RPWs may only be put back up for adoption if you have explicit consent from the mate's owner. (if mate's owner is inactive, just let a staff member know!)
• By putting an RPW in the pound, you agree to let the staff judge the RPWs contest.
• You may not put RPWs in the pound during adoption month. You must wait until the stocking period begins.
• Please do NOT put RPWs in pound with links to reuploaded images (stash, toyhouse, etc) of that RPW. Instead, please link back to the ORIGINAL reference of that RPW. (UNLESS that RPW does not have an original reference on CS! For example, some event RPWs, Customs and some Nursery RPWs!)

Staff Guidelines
• One week before the adoption month is about to end, staff will be contacted and asked if they would like to volunteer to help judge that month's readoptions.
• Staff will collaborate together to decide on the winners of the RPWs.
• Once the adoption period has ended, staff who agreed to help judge will have approximately one week to judge. Then, for the next week they will discuss with the other staff members. Once that week is up, wolf ;; will post the results agreed upon by the judges for that round.

All rules on the main thread also apply.

Personality: Hardouin presents himself nervously, like a giant walking furball of anxiety, He's constantly anxious and at any moment could bolt to get out of a situation. This in-turn has created a large group of rpws that all want to protect him, from himself and anyone else. Even if some of the wolves hate others who have taken a protector role over him.
He's also kinda gullible and easy to manipulate, if you treat him kindly he will trust you super quickly, making him like a lost puppy; loyal to the hand that feeds him. And people can use that to their advantage, alot of people do. But he isn't as reckless as he first appears, sure he's reckless to himself mostly, but if it could hurt another person or even endanger another person, he can keep his mouth shut and his anxiety under control.

Personality:
Clever and adaptable, Molly prides herself on being able to change to fit any situation. If she needs to get fifty orders done in a week she can buckle down and get to it, but likewise, if she only has a few orders for that week she can easily let loose from her rigid schedule and read a book or two. Extremely self-disciplined, she rarely needs supervision and can work very well on her own. She is capable of adapting herself to fit any situation. This is what makes her excellent at surviving, no matter what may threaten to cause her extinction.

Quiet by nature, Molly is lucky she is an introvert. A terrible accident when she was a newborn resulted in her mouth having to be permanently sewn shut, making her mute to this day. She doesn’t like to talk much, anyways, though, so her surgery and its side effects didn’t end up negatively impacting her too much. She naturally tends to be a thinker and doer instead of a talker, so she naturally would be on the quiet side, even without her surgery having taken place.

Molly has been through a lot in life. She has PTSD and often deals with triggers and working through life one day at a time. She was kidnapped and hurt terribly as a young girl by being forced to be a participant in several inhumane experiments - hence the patches of cloth sewn into her flesh - and was also bullied as a child - the permanently hairless tip of her tail as proof of one of the more severe “pranks” the other kids played upon her. She has had to go to therapy for a few years to get over her issues. Therapy has helped her realize that while her PTSD won’t go completely away, she does have things she can do to make the symptoms less severe and her life more enjoyable. She has gotten over a lot in life, though she still does struggle with often questioning whether or not certain feelings she has and opinions she holds are hers legitimately or are a product of gaslighting. She hopes to one day solve the mysteries of her mind.

Molly has learned over the years that stressing about what others say and think about her isn’t worth it. She honestly doesn’t seem to care if she makes a bad first impression or not - she just wants her final impression to be a good one. That being said, though, even Molly will run into some individuals who are so insulting and rude that she cares not if she offends them. If they won’t have the decency to be nice to her, she won’t bother wasting her energy being nice back.

Both detail-oriented and a big-picture-thinker, she is easily able to see what others cannot. Great at planning ahead, Molly excels at making lists and completing what she has written on them. She works based off of these lists, and wouldn’t be able to get much done if she were just to rely upon her own spotty memory for help. She is excellent about setting goals for herself and completing those goals, even if they take a little while to get done. She hates being thrown off schedule, and if she needs to change plans last-minute she will always do her best to get right back on track as soon as she is able.

While Molly is a recluse, when one of her very few friends does have a problem, she does her best to help be there emotionally for them. She has extremely few social contacts, but two of her friends are Gerade Heute and Fresca. She understands that her suggesting options for how to solve the issue can sometimes help, but often that is not why her friends will talk with her. They just need a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on, not advice on how to fix their problems. She is rather emotional herself, so she understands those who need emotional support from time to time. Others have mislabeled her as selfish as she often looks out for herself before helping others, but she likes to explain back that a water glass must be full before it is able to pour out any water into any other glass. She must first help herself before she helps others. That being said, when she does help others she goes all out and truly stays with them until she is able to help them somehow. She tends to be pretty affectionate with those she cares about, even if she is generally against touching others and being touched your others herself. She makes an exception for her friends and those who are close enough for her to call them family.

Molly has a careful and methodical approach to living life. She would rather be safe than sorry, and has the scars and has had the surgeries to prove making rash decisions ultimately doesn’t help anyone. She isn’t often haunted by her past mistakes, but the ones that resulted in her physical injuries do still sting her to think about and remember. She loathes making mistakes and can often be found beating herself up mentally for a silly mistake she has made. She does her best to be careful so as not to make these mistakes which always result in her feeling worse about herself.

Hating to be perceived as weak, Molly will never be found crying in front of others unless she is in a dire situation. She is humiliated by crying as she has been made fun of for it for most of her life. She hates doing so and will only cry if absolutely necessary. She doesn’t tend to get offended by others, thankfully, so she doesn’t often need to let out her emotions and cry.

Equal parts logical and feeling as well as equal parts realist and visionary, Molly really tries to listen to both her heart and her head when making an important decision. She often makes a list of pros and cons and then acts according to that, especially if her heart and head are at odds.

Tactile by nature, Molly loves to make dolls and fix up old puppets and marionettes. While working, she tends to drift off into daydreams and imaginative thoughts. She has a special power to make her creations come alive for short bursts of time, and she often can be found every night splashing her brown paint on the newly-fixed or newly-created creatures and her observing their many different personalities.

An INFJ-A, Molly is creative and insightful. She has an excellent reaction time and is a quick-thinker. She is flexible both in body and in mind, and she tends to be very alert and instinctive by nature. She is easily able to tell what is around her and due to her quick reflexes, she has been able to save a variety of projects from becoming accidentally destroyed. Decisive and passionate, Molly pours her heart into everything she creates. Determined by nature, Molly is great at deadlines and completing things to her own standards. Personality:
Frostbite prefers to go by his last name. He finds it more unique than going by Jack, which seems to be a fairly common name in the snowy province where he dwells. More one to stay in the moment and live life each moment at a time, Frostbite is more likely to be experiencing something new instead of thinking silly thoughts... but that isn’t to say he isn’t intelligent. He loves thinking and pondering new and interesting ideas, but most of the time doesn’t do so until he is able to slow down and take a breather from his busy travels. He always makes time to do so, though, putting both emphasis on pondering life and experiencing it firsthand.

Frostbite enjoys both solitude and chatting with others. Depending on the day, he can be more introverted or extroverted, as his moods tend to change with the weather... both literally and figuratively. He doesn’t tend to care much for making a good first impression, and he doesn’t generally worry how others may take him in or understand him. He knows with enough time that others will get to know him, and he doesn’t tend to care much if someone doesn’t like him at all. He moves on from simple-minded individuals and prefers to spend time only around those he can trust.

Even though he is a nomad by nature, Frostbite enjoys spending time with a select group of wolves: Balto, Durin, June Yukiko, and Ali. These four he would consider to be his closest friends and companions, and he loves and appreciates them in his own way.

More one to feel things out than plan every last painstaking detail, Frostbite loves to go with the flow and often travels where his paws take him. He often gets sidetracked from his goals, but he doesn’t mind. He enjoys the journey more than reaching his destination. Never one to shy away from physical labor, he enjoys a good run in any weather, but particularly loves romps in the snow. Curious, Frostbite likes to explore and seek out strange new things and places to see. Frostbite loves to travel, and hopes one day to see the whole world... or at least the parts his paws can take him to.

Believing highly in magic but not yet exhibiting powers himself, Frostbite is unsure if he will ever grow into his snow-flecked paint or if he will ever manifest powers at all. Still, regardless of his lack of magical prowess, Frostbite still puts a lot of stock in imagining the impossible, and finds it easiest to do so with the aid of magic. He generally knows what he wants and is good about deciding things quickly, but with magic like what a genie could grant, he has often pondered what he could wish for with such unlimited options at his disposal. With magic, all things are possible. With magic, he could change and shape the world as he sees fit, helping those less fortunate than he and giving to those who need it most. Frostbite is quite good about forgiveness and does not tend to hold grudges... except when it comes to those who choose to pick on others. He is against any type of bullying behaviors and does not agree that to get anywhere in life one must step on others to get to that place. Frostbite would rather starve than give his last meal to a bully, and refuses to help such individuals in any way.

Believing that the past is in the past, Frostbite doesn’t tend to put much emphasis on things that have happened before. He has learned to accept what life has thrown at him through his own means - usually ignoring the big stuff that bothers him until he cannot stuff it down any longer - and deals with it in his own time. If truth be told, he could probably use some help in this department, as Frostbite often is haunted by visions of the past and flashbacks that annoy him from time to time. Until he is ready to accept that help, however, Frostbite is content to live a nomad’s life.

A wolf with a thick skin, Frostbite isn’t easily damaged by snow or words alike. To really rattle him up takes a certain talent. He may feel deeply and be an emotional wolf overall, but he doesn’t retaliate in anger or snap at others in fury or irritation. He would much rather joke around than deal head-to-head with a problem, which often allows him to diffuse tension in situations... but can also be a downfall, as sometimes he gets too carried away and loses track of the situation at hand, too far into his own jokes to pay attention to important matters.

More visionary than realist, Frostbite does his best to look out for the little guy and change life one day at a time. He loves to experience new things and finds it easy to empathize with others whom he has never met before. He wishes life were easy for others who have had it harder than he has, and truly wishes to change the world in his own way. A mix between INFP-A and ENFP-A, Frostbite is a mix of two different but still very similar personality types. Depending on the day he may be more introverted or extroverted, and his interests in social interaction change depending on the type of day he has had and how much sleep he has gotten. Personality:
Valentia has a special ability: hand-picked by Mephistopheles to wreak havoc, she works alongside Schadenfreude to spread disaster across the worlds/realms. She doesn’t have the persuasive ability to get what she wants like Meph, nor does she have the power of pyromania at her paws like Schadenfreude does. Instead, she has to use her own talents to succeed in her mission.

Valentia is frank by nature and doesn’t believe in mincing words. She will lie to your face if need be, though, so don’t think that just because her words sting that they are truthful. She finds it simple to put others down and tends to disrespect those around her, particularly her elders, whom she has a great distaste for. She doesn’t respect authority at all - except for Livius, the King of Hell, whom she knows better than to double-cross... and his two daughters, of course, also fall into this category of wolves she knows better than to get on their bad side. She doesn’t care about anyone but herself, so inflicting pain and suffering on others doesn’t bother her much. She cares about getting herself ahead in life and that is about all she truly cares for in this mortal realm. Because she is focused on her own life, she doesn’t care if she has to step on others to get ahead... as long as she is crafty about it, anyways. She doesn’t want to get caught. Often she doesn’t care about even getting caught, though. She knows she can weasel her way out of any punishment with her charm, and if her lies don’t do the trick, then she can easily fight her way out. At the end of the day, she has no mercy and doesn’t understand the meaning of “forgiveness.”

Not really one to second-guess her true feelings or thoughts, Valentia doesn’t feel much remorse for things she has done wrong in the past and never feels bad about a negative first impression she gives to others. She isn’t usually haunted by bad dreams of screw-ups she has made in the past, and she doesn’t beat herself up over the little things in life.

With a temper as vivid as her fur coloring, Valentia never learned how to keep her anger under wraps. She indulges in hurting others and lashing out emotionally when she is ticked off, and she doesn’t care if she inflicts harm on another in one of her rage-filled and aggressive emotional outbursts. Valentia doesn’t ever let anyone see her cry - in fact, if you were to ask her when she cried last, she would respond with, “When I was a stupid child.” It has been years since she has ever let herself feel anything except anger, so this constant state of rage has become her new reality. She is quite easily made irritated and tends to be more emotional than logical, so she usually acts without much thought if she is angry enough. Even though she is emotional by nature, however, she hates physical touch and will never be touchy-feely... even if she is fond of whomever she is around. If she is clear-headed enough, however, she doesn’t just burst out in anger - she does think before she leaps and is generally good about planning out whatever nefarious thing needs to be done so that chaos can ultimately reign.

She has a cover of being an aromatherapy professional, but she honestly runs the business to swindle others out of their hard-earned cash. She doesn’t tend to live carefully, though, and ignores any advice others offer her. Most other wolves don’t trust her, and for good reason. She looks out for herself primarily, and doesn’t tend to give others a second thought.

While Valentia is good with planning out evil deeds and plots, in general, she isn’t much of a planner. She prefers to live life in a spur-of-the-moment manner. She tends to make a lot of her decisions on a whim, and just decides whatever she wants to do pretty close to when she generally needs to do it. The only exceptions to this rule are as previously stated - when she is working or planning out an evil plot, she is great about sticking to a schedule and excellent with plans. Guillaume is nothing short of a philosopher in his thoughts. He excessively overanalyzes situations, thinking about how they might play out multiple times before engaging. It is rare for this wolf to stop thinking through things, so the amount of actual work he manages to get done is sparse. He is much more interested in the how of things, then in seeing if his theories actually work. This, on top of his natural muteness, can make him difficult to converse with, if you know sign language in the first place. He trails off frequently, and starts sentences without the intention to finish them. He also frequently starts sentences in the middle, as much of his early life was spent without a way to communicate, and he has not quite grasped the form and structure of clear communication yet, despite his best efforts. Guillaume’s thoughtfulness is not always a good thing. His escapism and troubled childhood have led to him developing maladaptive daydreaming, a condition where one uses daydreams excessively. For Guillaume, this started as a method of avoidance, to distract from an unpleasant childhood, and eventually unstable living situation. Guillaume is not in control of this, and although he is currently working to better his jurisdiction over his own life with the help of a therapist.

Guillaume has often been a drifter, not clicking well with other wolves, only partially because of his inability to speak. The other reason is because he is simply too absorbed in his own world to be actively involved in another. This small wolf does not go through life, it seems more that life goes through this small wolf. He plays a passive role in his own existence, and although he is not neutral to the outcomes of life, he tends to take them in stride, accepting happenstance with an almost blind faith in fate. One of his driving beliefs is that there is a cosmic force that decides what will happen, and when. He sincerely doubts that this fate would have any reason to be kind, a belief that is reinforced by his own life experiences.

Life has not been kind to this wolf. Much of his childhood was spent in isolation, due to an overbearing yet volatile mother. He grew up with the sense that being mute meant he was broken, a belief enforced by scathing comments and a heavy handed father. His childhood rejection from his family led him to run away. He posted a message asking for help, and another wolf responded surprisingly quickly. If Guillaume had been older, or perhaps more informed, he would have known that crashing at a strangers house is rarely wise, and in his case, dangerous. Guillaume did not find the friendly wolf he had expected, and instead spent the next five years of his life at the hands of what most would consider a mad scientist. It was in this laboratory that Guillaume got his many patches and stitches, and a large amount of trauma. As such, although he is exceedingly clever, Guillaume lives much of his life based on fear. Most of his reactions are based solely on instincts, out of a deep desire for self preservation instead of the intricate thoughts he is so often occupied by. He is quite paranoid, often grasped by the belief that anyone and everyone is working against him, even the few friends he has known for quite a long time. This makes stable relationships hard, as there are days where he cannot be convinced that the world does not want to hurt him, and can be quite hurtful when afraid.

Guillaume tells the truth to the greatest of his ability, although his lines between reality and fantasy are slightly blurred. He strongly believes that lying is something that should not be done, and if someone asks him a question he does not want to answer he will simply not respond. This can make this mute wolf appear more aloof and disinterested than he truly is. His sincerity and lack of social convention can also get him into troubling situations, in which common courtesy would provide white lies. Guillaume will not do this, even if it would be the polite thing to do. Not only does this make him appear a little obstinate, it also feeds the perception that he entirely disconnected from other wolves and society as a whole. His sincerity is not entirely negative however. As he finds it nigh impossible to mislead someone, he can be counted on by friends for an honest opinion, and is good at voicing his needs, although that often requires prompting.

An isolated childhood and an overpowering fear of the world makes Guillaume exceedingly dependent on other wolves. His indecisive nature and ingrained fear responses require strong guidance to be worked around, and when he finds this sort of guidance Gulliaume clings onto it with everything he has. This can be most clearly illustrated in his relationship with Espoir, (and Rimi by extension.) He sees himself in this duo, and the two wolves share similar backgrounds, which fuels Guillaume’s need to be around the fellow experiment. He can often be found trailing after the bigger wolf inside the house, or pressed up against him when outside. In this dependance, Espoir has worked on pushing Guillaume outside his comfort zone, to help him acclimatize to reality. It has been Espoir’s support and encouragement that prompted Gulliaume to begin writing a book, partially based on his life, however with large alterations to make it (in Gulliaume’s own words) “more sci-fi and cool.” This little wolf is slowly working through his issues, with the encouragement of his close friends. He hopes to one day publish his book, however for that to happen he will need to first finish the opening chapter.

Short Story:
Guillaume can feel the gravel underneath his paw pads, uncomfortably digging between his toes. This isn't what he is focusing on. He isn't focusing on his breathing either, wheezing and desperate as it is, short gasps that he can almost feel scraping against the inside of his ribcage. Guillaume is focusing on running. He isn’t sure what he is running from, but right now he isn’t thinking of that. He doesn’t know what set him off. He was in the market, and someone spoke in the wrong way, or maybe looked to much like him. He can’t remember. His brain is a tumbling stream of words, the only consistent thought he can hold onto being,
“Get away.
Run.
Run.
Run.”

And so he does. His paws churn beneath him, wind whipping against his face as he bolts, desperately trying to get away. It’s in this desperation that he fails to notice the large creature in front of him, and instead of ducking out of the way, slams his head into the chest of the stranger. Guillaume tucks his tail, panic clear on his narrow face. To his surprise, the one he ran into did not shout, nor make any noise at all. Curiosity got the better of him, and he raised his head to look over the stranger. If he could speak, he would sound surprised, but instead he simply flicked his ears forwards and cocked his head.

The wolf in front of him wasn’t giving him the look so many others did, and instead seemed worried? Intrigued? Guillaume genuinely couldn't tell, due to the elaborate stitched smile across the other wolf’s face. There was an emotion in his eyes that the smaller wolf couldn't place, and raising his paws he tentatively signed,

You’re like me?
He watched the other wolf for a reply, yet to his surprise a voice, not out loud, but in his head gave a whispered response.
“Perhaps. What were you running from?”
I... Guillaume trails off, before shaking his head.

“Sorry, I don’t mean to scare you.” The bigger wolf’s voice is gentle and reassuring, and Guillaume almost wants to relax. That is, until he spots a second pair of eyes, staring hungrily out at him from behind the wolf.
There’s someone behind you. He signs the warning, and to his surprise hears a laugh in his head.
“That’s only Rimi.” The wolf in front of him turns, showing where his tail should end is instead a face of another creature. Guillaume jumps back.
“Don’t be scared. They’re a brat, but friendly enough.”
What are they? Guillaume finds himself already making guesses, although none of them seem accurate to him.
“It’s hard to explain. How about we meet up for coffee at some point and I’ll explain then?”

Guillaume’s ears flick, and he gives a faint nod. It takes conscious effort for him not to smile.
That would be nice, he signs, feeling his heart fast against his ribs, and not from running.

Short Story:
Chameli’s paws are shaking. She can feel sweat, uncomfortably warm, running in rivulets down her spine. There is a dull pain from where her opponent already landed a punch. The thin layer of grime coating the floor of the ring is slippery against the pads of her paws, not enough to make her falter, but enough that she has noticed it. Enough that it’s a distraction. A distraction that pulls her brain from the fight, and makes her hesitate. She can feel the eyes of the men in the room on her, watching her unschooled movements, watching as she flounders like a fish out of water. This is not where she belongs. Once the thought is in her head, she can’t shake it. This is not the space for her. She stalls out, breathing heavily. She isn’t strong enough for this. She can’t fight, let alone professionally. She shouldn’t be here.

“Hey,” She recognizes the voice, and it pulls her from her thoughts. Florian, her brother, and more importantly, her opponent. “You okay?” His voice is soft, concerned, and something about the tone fails to comfort her. Instead, it sends a sharp jolt of anger through her gut. Florian was the one who brought her out here, after she fleetingly mentioned an interest in being stronger. He was in support of her, promised to teach her, and brought her out here to learn. Now here he was, balking on their second fight, just because she looks scared.

“Cham, are you okay?” The edge of worry in his voice is sharp, and it grates against her ears. He thinks she’s weak.
“Chameli?” Her eyes snap up, brows furrowing. She sets her jaw, glaring down her brother. Her teeth glint. Florian is standing a few feet away, genuine worry painted over his normally stern features. It’s clear he’s been working hard as well, sweat darkening his shirt at the armpits and collar, and something about that pulls the faintest smile onto her face.

“Act now, think later,” she mutters, more a reminder to herself than anyone else. She draws a breath. Fists up, she jabs at the air, twisting out of the way of her brother, her opponent before throwing herself back at him. For a moment, she is something feral. She throws a punch towards her brother, landing a solid hit. She ducks as he swings, and then in a moment unguided by rational thought she charges. In one smooth movement, she pounces, her fist making contact with her brother’s chin. A look of confidence embeds itself on her face too soon. Her movements are too unsure, too frantic to do any real damage, and Florian takes the opportunity. He goes for her gut, the impact making her stumble back. She lurches forwards, and lands on all fours, breathing heavily. The mat smells of vinyl, sweat, and disinfectant. Chameli scrambles away, leaning back against the ropes. Her mouth already tastes like iron.

“You did good.” Florian has lost his usual condescending tone, and instead looks impressed. His jaw is already starting to darken from the hit. Chameli smiles, rubbing at the bruises already colouring her knuckles.

“You did better.” She retorts, voice only slightly bitter.

“You’re newer to the sport.” Florian responds, the previous tension of the fight fading with his words.

“I still lost.” Chameli hears the buzz of conversation around them, hushed and surprised, and her tail wags even as her lip bleeds.

Personality: Determined to prove herself to the world and everyone in it. She ends up getting a little too wrapped up in herself without even meaning to do so. Very free with her emotions, though she hides them well if she thinks it might upset others. Incredibly gentle to those who truly need it, despite any attempts to push her away. Yvenna is always confident though not always collected. Makes for a incredibly loyal friend if not crossed or rubbed the wrong way on purpose constantly, only then could she become cold and almost vicious in manner.
