For generations, the birds of the sanctuary lived happily alongside humans, safe from the dangerous world outside. Up until a year ago. A catastrophic earthquake caused the humans to evacuate, and they had to leave the birds behind. Some perished, but others survived.

The artificial habitats were now open. But the massive dome-shaped aviary still confined them. But now, the birds could freely fly through the different areas, released from their own homes they had spent their lives in.

There was enough food to last most of them two more months, although a lot of it would go stale. Some birds hunted the smaller birds for food, and preyed upon anything that managed to worm it’s way in.

There were territory clashes, birds gathered in flocks. Some of these grudges and groups still hold up today.

Name: Roxie
Gender: Female
Species: Eastern Osprey

Personality: Roxie is chivalrous and mild-mannered. She carefully chooses her words, only saying what she thinks is fitting, and will severely criticise herself if she thinks she said the wrong thing. She has an extremely strong moral compass and code of honour, and often tells others to be better. She can be very presumptuous and overbearing, and takes the responsibility of everyone's well being upon herself.
Background: Roxie was rescued from a fish net she had been entangled in while fishing with her mother when she was a chick, and brought to the sanctuary. She had spent quite a short time in the sanctuary before it was abandoned, so she had to teach herself to hunt and fight. This made her survival skills sub par at best, and made her a lot less daring than she would've been if she was a fully capable fighter and hunter.

Name: Loki

Species: Bearded vulture

Personality: Loki is relentless. Once he has his mind set on something, he does not let it go. He will recklessly pursue his goals with little regard for anyone's safety, including his own. He tries to pull strings, coming up with his own "master plans" to turn the tables in his faovur. He doesn't realise how much he over reacts to everything, and believes everyone has been as wronged as him when the humans evacuated.
Background: Loki was raised from birth at the sanctuary. He was named after the Norse god of mischief, for he often would mess with the keepers' hair and try to take their things.

Some of the other bearded vultures used to make fun of him, even when he was fully grown, for being so attached to the humans. Then the earthquake struck.

Loki was absolutely devastated for weeks when the humans didn't come back. He missed playing with them and trying to steal their keys and pulling on their hair. Then, he was furious. He could not understand why they never returned, he fully believed that they cared for him.

He began taking his anger out on other birds, viciously attacking them. He lost most of the fights he started, but often left wounds because of how ruthless and relentless his fighting style was.

After a month, he stopped his destructive behaviour, and focused more on improving his fighting and hunting. And maybe eventually escaping into the open world

Pardon was a Lucky one, It's known for Albino animals to die quick. Pardon Taught himself like any normal Bird, Hunting.
His Feathers are a dirty White color and His Wing feathers Are a Dun brown color, As the pigment in those Were Normal.
He isn't A giant bird, But he isn't tiny either. his Wingspan is 7.5 ft.. He's Only Four years old. He is A Friendly bird, Most of the time.

She never joked about it either, She decides to Get the people off her back. So she acted as if she were sick, so she was Unable to be approached by any Visitor. Her wingspan is .5 ft. she's 5 years old. She was a Rude snappy bird, Until now. she's really just nothing

Name: Orion
Gender: Male
Species: Secretary Bird

Appearance: The Orion like most secretarybirds is instantly recognizable as a very large bird with an eagle-like body on crane-like legs, he's on the taller range for his species at 4.5 feet. He has a featherless red-orange face and predominantly grey plumage, with a flattened dark crest and black flight feathers and thighs. He has a wingspan of 87 inches and weighs in at 10 pounds.

Personality: Many things can be said of Orion, but at the very least you'll find out he's elegant and sweet. Of course, he's also brilliant, sentimental and respectful, but they're tainted by and mixed with habits of being arrogant as well. His elegance though is what he's most well-liked for. Friends usually count on this and his humbleness whenever they need cheering up. Nobody's perfect of course and Orion has plenty of lesser desired aspects too. His agonizing nature and demanding nature sour the mood many a time and just affect all around negatively. Fortunately, his sweet nature shines brighter on most days.

Background: Born here five years ago, Orion was a cute little fellow with two other siblings. He was a bit annoyed when the earthquake hit and the humans left but quickly got over it.

Name: Hedwig
Gender: Female
Species: Snowy Owl

Appearance: Hedwig is a beautiful white snowy owl with black flecks and bright yellow eyes. With a wingspan of 55 inches, and 5 pounds and 25 inches in length/height.

Personality: There's more than meets the eye in the case of Hedwig, but the biggest two things to know are that she's passionate and sociable. Of course, she's also dutiful, sharing and creative, but these are in a way balance by being obnoxious as well. Her passion though is what she's most well-liked for. Friends frequently count on this and her hardworking nature especially when they need comforting or support. Nobody's perfect of course and Hedwig has plenty of lesser desired aspects too. Her dominating nature and pedantic nature are far from ideal and make things uncomfortable, to say the least. Fortunately, her sociable nature helps make sure these days are few and far between.

Background: Born in the Russian wilds, Hedwig was nameless for most of her life, until a broken wing got her brought to the sanctuary. She was a bit shy around humans and was just finished healing when the earthquake hit. This four-year-old Snowy Owl is now intent on exploring.

Other: And yes naming her Hedwig was purposeful.

Jewel is a very adventurous bird, following the wind were it takes her. She is very playful, and loves spending time flying. She has never felt the urge to be tied down by any other bird, never meeting the right fella. She can be very straight forward and blunt, if someone tries insulting her she’ll make them regret it. She is a skilled hunter, and has keen sight.

— Basics

Name: Admiral.
Gender: Female.
Species: Bearded vulture.
Appearance: Admiral is a large bird; 125 centimeters [49 inches] long with a 2.83 meter [9.3 feet] long wingspan, and she weighs in at 7.8 kilograms [17.2 pounds]. Her body is covered in soft off-white feathers and her wings have long, beautiful blackish gray feathers. Admiral has a sharp, dangerous beak with a black stripe that leads up to her red and silvery white eyes.

Personality: Admiral is a naturally aggressive bird, she has no flight or fight instinct; she automatically fights. She’s unpredictable and dangerous, however she can be trusted. Admiral is extremely loyal and stands for what she believes in. She’s ruthless and she won’t hesitate to claw out your eye, and if the bird has a goal- she will do anything to accomplish it. Getting in the way would be quite dangerous. But despite her aggressive nature, she’s sweet and sarcastic, Admiral won’t attack unless you give her a reason to.

History: She was only in her young teen phase when another bird of prey attacked her. She was given a head injury which seemed to knocked something in her head wrong, soon she was found by humans and healed up. However she never had a positive feeling towards the humans, when they left it only added to her hate. She wasn’t always aggressive, it wasn’t until after the attack.

Modifications: Admiral has a long scar that went from under her left eye and went down under her neck. The other bird that had attacked her had ripped off the signature bearded vulture beard during the attack.

Medical issues: Admiral has no current wounds or injuries. Though when she knocked her head during the attack, she had minor brain damage. It caused her to have blurred vision at random times, which may cause her to attack.
