➹ Wayne Montgomery
Ex-Commander in the Royal Guard
Location: Prison cell
Tags: Demetria, Diana
Wayne became angrier and angrier with each word out of Diana's mouth. His face was beginning to resemble a roast ham left in the oven too long. He sputtered furiously for a reply, but he was too enraged to even form a coherent response. The bigot could not believe that a 'mere female' could challenge him to a fight.
When she finally came into his cell, Wayne snarled at her like a rabid animal.
"After I beat you, your little friend is next!" The jerk lunged forward with a yell and aimed a kick straight at Diana's shin.
Ardai Fairchild

Ardai frowned momentarily as his friend mentioned mandatory bed rest. Even the concept was repulsive to the hyper redhead, who would explode from boredom if forced to sit still for any longer than ten minutes. The smile quickly returned to his face, however, when he realized he could just go visit Quinn... and bother him the entire time. Ardai had the look of a determined Twodorian mother. No one could stop him (well, except Quinn, since Ardai would respect his wishes).
Ardai only grinned wider as Quinn continued talking about outfits.
"Yeah, I'm definitely taller than him," He boasted, puffing out his chest to look even bigger.
"And I love any clothes you make, Quinn! My favorite colors are orange and pink though, but not toned-down ones. They have to be bold! And bright! ... I hope I'm not giving you trouble."He'd been wheeling the chair along this whole time, and now they had arrived at the cafeteria doors. Ardai kicked them open dramatically before pushing Quinn through. A small squadron of older rebels was gathered around a distant table, finishing up their supper. A couple of them perked up at the boys' appearance and waved.
Sycamore Jin

Sycamore's face lit up as Aida suggested adopting everyone first. Her friend was sounding like a Twodorian mother already. She would fit right in with their sunny, cheerful homeland, the district of warm hugs. After this uprising was over, Sycamore planned to settle down in Twodor and adopt herself a huge family. Maybe Aida could join her.
Inside the cell, Prince Alastair didn't seem at all offended by the question. In fact, he chuckled in amusement and fixed them with an understanding smile.
"To answer your question, please refer to me as a gentleman. I am not surprised that Wayne Montgomery is spreading rubbish, but thank you for asking instead of simply accepting his words.""While you are here, would you fancy helping with a decision?" A thoughtful expression appeared as he gently closed the journal, setting it aside atop the bed.
"There is a certain task I plan to request of the Uprising. I assure you, no rebels or civilians will be put in danger. However... I am hesitant to ask favors at this stage of our friendship, as many rebels are still suspicious of me, and rightfully so." Green eyes shifted briefly to Sycamore before returning to Aida.

It was comforting to have someone else who shared his views, his suspicions. Gavotte was half Thrinton, the province where family meant everything. Although he and his mother clashed frequently, the love was still there, and buried beneath all the differences lay their shared blood. He was his mother's son, and trying to erase that simple fact would be foolish. Likewise, Alastair was ridiculous to claim he was above his bloodline. None of
them had saved Delra. More likely, the Prince was making an attempt to gain the rebels' trust so he could destroy them from within.
All the cold hatred melted away, however, when Jen placed her hand on his. Gavotte couldn't help smiling as warmth rushed through him, from his reddening face to his toes.
"You know," He admitted in a soft voice,
"I'm glad to have someone who understands me. I just feel as if... I can be myself around you, if you know what I mean?"
