he blinked, taken aback by the action but smiled a little when the pokemon sat in front of him, its own smile apparent as it sat and waited.

he chuckled, a hand sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck "trust me to accidentally make friends after i just got a partner". he glanced at his partner pokemon but it seems he didnt need much confimation, inferno seemed just excited as the jangmo-o at his feet. he nodded sharply.

"alright, poke-ball lets go!" he picked up the pokeball and shuffled back slightly. he was cautious, somehow afraid he'd hurt the lil guy after he just healed him up.

with a careful sense of sureness he gently tossed the ball at the pokemon, waiting as it was zapped inside, and the ball rolled.

jangmo-o was absorbed into the ball.

and immediately, it clicked, signifying
it had been caught. jangmo-o was so
excited to join your team, the ball
barely shook! so it was now a part of
your party.

it came out of the ball to scale up your
leg, crawling until it sat itself on your
shoulder.

"jang-jangmo!" the pokemon cried out happily.

The team came to a stop when the Croagunk's walked toward them with tired faces. Alastair stopped behind them, looking at the three tired Pokemon. "Uh oh. Looks like all of this commotion has awaken these three. I hope they're not too mad." Alastair said, looking at them. "Are you guys ready to battle just in case?" The team of Pokemon voiced their responses almost instantly. But how would the Croagunk's respond?

The Dedenne, still clutching Neptune's makeshift drumstick in its mouth, chirped excitedly as it ran circles around Eva's two pokémon. Neptune just looked confused, not understanding why the Dedenne didn't want to tap out a rhythm as well, but Marigold seemed to understand what it was doing. Eva watched from a distance, interested.

“Vee, vui!” Marigold barked, fluffy tail thrashing. The Eevee then bounced forwards eagerly, giving chase to the Dedenne, before gently wrestling the stick from the smaller pokémon's mouth. “Vee,” she yipped, before grasping the stick between her teeth, rearing back, and hurling it across the dirt road.

Dedenne clapped its paws together eagerly, and bounded after the stick, leaping upon it where it had landed with enthusiasm. The electric mouse grabbed it and strted to trot back to where Marigold was sitting (looking rather smugnfor having figured out what the Dedenne wanted). "Den-den," it stated, pleased with itself as it dropped the stick at her feet to throw once more.

"I never thought I'd see such a small pokémon playing fetch," Eva mused, before leaning down to pick up and throw the stick herself. The Dedenne's cheeks flashed with electricity, before it scampered off after the thrown item. She stood up, grabbing Marigold off of the ground first, and straightened up her bag. It was about time they moved on, but... "Maybe the Dedenne will come along with us if it wants to keep playing?" she offered. "Hey, Neptune, why don't you ask Dedenne?"
