1. Be respectful. If someone posts something you disagree with, debate it respectfully. Personal attacks and intentionally being rude will not be tolerated.
2. Disagreeing with you is not bullying you. If you are not being called names, then you are not being bullied. Many of the members here are blunt, do not take this personally. We all just want to help.
3. If you have a problem with a post or feel an argument is getting too heated, just report it to the mods. This will help prevent you from getting a warning yourself.
4. Do not fake a dog in order to post. If you make a post claiming to own a dog that is not yours, you will be reported. CS mods do not take lightly to stealing photos.
5. That said, you do not need to have a dog to post here! Just keep the conversation dog centered and you'll be fine!
6. Please, dont recommend and condone irresponsible use of training methods which could have a negative affect on the dog. But, these methods can be used, in a responsible manner and this must be explained in all post. Anyone can comment on the use of these; but not all response to using these will be postive. Once you reply and post responsibally, and you use the methods correctly and safely, you can talk about MIXED AND POSTIVE TRAINING. Solely negitive training is harmful to the dog.

Hey everyone! Just a quick reminder to please be kind and calm with message replies and keep debates polite! Thank you xx

I don't think that was a heated debate at all, infact it was probably one of the most mild I have seen on this thread xP
Valid points were made on both sides.
Things like this do need to debated, we don't need baby gloves on to debate. There can be opposing view points posted with out being rude. Not everything is an offense. (I kinda hate that about this site)
While there can be rudeness it was not shown here.

Gizmo's first 'gotya' day is coming up, does any one have a good dog 'cake' recipe they like in particular? I know there are a lot out there .. but, if you have tried some you like (and didn't) I'd love to hear some opinions.

chicken liver pate cake! it is VERY rich so don't give the entire thing to your kiddo! it's good to give them a little bit in the beginning, then you can top their food off until it's gone nwn

Honestly, if you need something special to make for your furry buds, I totally recommend Gone to the Snow Dogs. I'm linking their doggie recipes playlist. I've made several for my pups and they've always been big hits!

^^ I love their recipes, my dogs go crazy for them and I especially love the summer frozen fruit ones!

Heeey I haven't been on this thread for a while, but I do usually browse for pictures of everyone's perfect dogs when I'm bored.

Update to say that my now foster-failed foster Catfish (waylon) is doing great about her feces-eating habits and I've successfully gotten her redirection command 'focus' down pretty much to a T. She's still a brat but now with structure and teeny tiny socialization steps she's really blossoming into a great dog. I've found out she's leash reactive the hard way so now that the poop challenge has been completed we're working on that AND muzzle training. :)

hope everyone's dogs are doing well!

Here's the recipe for the Pupcakes I make for Chloe. They freeze really well and can be mashed up to use to hide pills in. I substitute applesauce (3/4 cup) for the egg plus additional leavening (25%) and cooking for longer since Chloe is allergic to eggs.

Peanut Butter and Banana Birthday Cupcakes for Dogs

Ingredients -
1 cup unsalted, unsweetened peanut butter
3 eggs
2 bananas, mashed
1/2 coconut flour
1/4 cup cottage cheese
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup cream cheese
1/2 cup unsalted, unsweetened peanut butter
1 tbsp coconut oil

1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2) Grease a 12 cup muffin tin, or two 6 cup muffin tins, or line with paper muffin cups.

3) In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter, eggs, bananas, and cottage cheese. Stir until well-combined.

4) Add in the coconut flour and baking soda and stir until combined.

5) Fill each muffin cup to about 3/4 full with the batter.

6) Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

While these are baking, begin making the frosting.

7) In a small bowl combine the cream cheese, peanut butter and oil, and use a fork to hand-mix the cream together until smooth.

8) Place in the fridge for 10 minutes to harden up again while the cupcakes finish baking.

9) Remove the cupcakes from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack.

10) Ice the cooled cupcakes with the frosting mixture (or liver paste) and serve!

Cook time: 25min
Yield: 12 cupcakes

If serving right away and not freezing you can use banana slices to garnish.

Also here's a link to some more recipes. https://www.dogster.com/topic/recipes I don't know where the one above came from. I'm sure I found it online but can't remember where and can't find the link so typed it up from my hard copy.

I don’t know how many of y’all remember him since it’s been just over a year since he passed, but today my Chewie would have turned 8 today. I miss him terribly but I like to think he was watching over Bones today as he did something absolutely amazing. (I will share Bones details soon, waiting for photos lol)

Also O and my cat Crow have the same face marking mirrored and that’s important for everyone to know cause it’s cute  .

Congrats again with the trashcan xD. oh. i mean bones. chewy was the best boi. and crow and O are priceless.

i spend my sunday learning how to groom poodles. the simple face, rear/tail, and paws look. this girl had never been groomed prior and was an angel compared to one of her brothers who my mom had to hold like a baby for us to shave his face and he had been groomed prior to. this girlie is going to a show home in a few weeks unless they back out and he ends up keeping her. I think she was the only non silver in the litter. and she looks like two different dogs put together

Hey ya'll I get to see my baby Olly this weekend!!! I'm currently a college student and am not allowed to take him to campus with me! He misses his momma when I'm away!! Cannot wait to see his craziness and hopefully get to take him for a walk! We've been training him with a prong collar since a harness didn't work out! He's been doing beautifully with it.

Olly was in a very stressful situation over the summer and has a lot of anxiety that we've been working through on walks. He attempts to attack moving vehicles as they go by due to his traumatic experience this summer. He's been doing really well and progressing with every session!

Please enjoy this picture of my fur baby <3

I have 2 puppers

One is Fiona the ogre princess, she is a "vicious" guard dog. She's a Burmese mountain dog mixed with a rottweiler. She's my big snuggle bug and I love her to pieces!

Pet's name: Fiona

My other one is Heidi. She's a little blind floof! She runs into walls sometimes when she's excited. She is a golden retriever mixed with a border collie and she is the best foot warmer. I love her to bits too!
