short description: mossypaw is a kind and soft spoken tom. on the older side of the apprentices, mossypaw has taken it upon himself to be the peacekeeper between any hotheaded peers. he isn't very ambitious, and is loyal to a fault. mossypaw isn't too intrigued with his warrior training, and dreams of spending his days with a litter of kits in the nursery. mossypaw is understanding but also isn't a great listener.

Short Description -- Twistedthorn is a young tom (36 moons) with striking yellow eyes. His back right leg is extremely scarred, and slightly twisted from a run in with a monster after just becoming a warrior. The cat refused to be sent to the elder's den, picking a fight with the leader at the time. With spite, the old leader gave him a new name, Twistedthorn, to represent the cat's prickly nature and twisted back leg.

Twistedthorn now holds resentment towards his clanmates, refusing to get close to any of them if possible. However, the cat can't help having feelings for the warrior Harrierheart- but he refuses to show it.

Abstaining sat inside the camp, cleaning himself. Focusing on his fur, he didn’t hear when another cat came up to him, startling the warrior.

“Hi Abstaining!” the murder meowed, eyes blinking. “Do you want to accompany me to the forest?” they asked, tail flicking as the murder glanced around camp, nervous.
The warrior glanced at their clanmate, but nodded. “Sure,” he replied, getting to his paws, "what are we doing out here anyhow?” he asked, following after the murder, keeping a lookout for prey. Hearing quiet, he glanced around wondering where his companion went. “Where’d you go?” Abstaining called out, tail flicking.

Suddenly, he gave a yowl of surprise as another cat attacked him, being too close to the Thunderpath, he couldn’t tell by smell if it was ThunderClan scent or ShadowClan scent that had attacked him. Seeing his clanmate, he blinked. “Help!” he called out, but the murder shook their head and pushed him onto the Thunderpath as a monster came close and hit the warrior, killing him.

“Sorry, but it had to be done,” they meowed, nodding to the ShadowClan cats that had shown up, having shocked them by killing their own clanmate. "It had to be done," the murderer repeated, "they told me to do it." Before they could attack them, the murder left the scene leaving the body at the border for their clanmates to find.

There goes your first cat, ThunderClan. What now?

Apprentice / Male / Mentor: Abstaining

Stripepaw walks out of the apprentice den, stretching himself and letting out a huge yawn before jumping full of excitement and energy.
'I cant wait to train today. My mentor wants to teach me more pawsome battle moves'
Stripepaw meows after the waking up. Then he sits down near the freshkill pile waiting for his mentor to arrive.

Stealthvixen was either very lucky, or extremely UNLUCKY to discover the body while patrolling the border. The sight of him, and the familiar smell of him, froze her with shock. What she was seeing, and the truth of it, hit her head, but was delayed in reaching her heart.

“Abstaining...??”

She didn’t fear getting close. More than that, she feared the body of this noble, respectable Warrior being further decimated by oncoming monsters. She scampered onto the Thunderpath and dragged the body back to the grass as quick as possible. His own scent still hung fresh around him, mingled with the sharp tang of monster’s feet.

“....Abstaining........oh.....no, no, no, no....”

Standing with him, she was at a loss for what to do. It had been MOONS since she’s ever felt so lost.
Could she just leave him there!? He was right by the ShadowClan border.

She opted to awkwardly drag his body toward the camp.

“Help!! Please! Somebody help!! Abstaining! He was trampled by a monster!!”

mossypaw was abruptly awaken by his brother's loud yawn. he shook out pieces of bracken that had stuck to him overnight and shot an angry look at stripepaw. "keep it down, would ya?" his voice was harsh, but he still loved his brother. mossypaw joined stripepaw in stretching, and followed him outside and into the camp.
he nodded when his brother voiced his eagerness to train. mossypaw thought about his own day today. he wasn't too excited about training, so maybe he would ask honeystar if he could help hollyhop and twistedthorn or stay back and be with stealthvixen and vixenleap. he was about to respond to stripepaw when a crashing sound echoed through the forest outside, and a call for help.
mossypaw glanced nervously at stripepaw before dashing out towards the ruckus. there he found stealthvixen, carrying the body of abstaining, one of the clan's warriors. mossypaw halted, then took a few pawsteps back, his eyes wide at the sight. he didn't know how to react. he looked up and saw the fear and shock in stealthvixen's eyes, and he decided that he needed to help her. swallowing a cry, mossypaw lifted the back half of abstaining so stealthvixen didn't have to carry the tom by herself.
"l..let's go back to camp," he said, his voice shaking and barely a whisper.

When she realized two apprentices were helping drag the body—Mossypaw and Stripepaw, no less—she quickly moved to stop them.

“No no no no no—!! Don’t! Don’t....don’t look! Please! It’s....please don’t hurt your hearts. You’re still young. Don’t look. Uh, g—go grab Hollyhop and Twistedhorn. Maybe they can help, eh?”

For whatever reason, in her state of panic, Stealthvixen defaulted back to treating them like kits. In her heart, they’d always be kits. The thought of these tiny souls seeing this brave Warrior—Mossypaw’s mentor—in this state, made her ache for them. Sure, it was an odd opinion that many warriors would disagree with, but it was her deep conviction that a cat should protect their eyes from evil and death as long as possible.
