the clans were not originally three separate clans, but one united by family and
starclan, known as heronclan, but tensions began to rise between cats in the clan,
so to resolve this problem the leader offered a simple way out, letting them have
their own clan, known as fernclan. so the one split into two, and as the parted
ways and became their own clans peace thrived, for a moment. overtime tensions
rose between the two clans, ultimately resulting in the call for a third clan to be
made of the cats who wished for a clan of purity and peace, this clan would be
known as roseclan. the corruption had ceased... until now. tensions rise as food
becomes more scarce as the three clans near leafbare. as food becomes scarce
tensions rise with more intensity than the clans have seen since the first battle.
the first battle was the only battle that has ever occured between the clans and
it occurred right after the creation of roseclan, it was a battle between fernclan and
heronclan. meadowstar was killed in this battle twelve moons ago, resulting in
emberstar's rise to the role of leader.

heronclan
heronclan's dens are not very far from the swamp, they situated on a
little clearing and they are made from sticks and nearby leaves and branches.
the warrior's den is in the hollow of a large sycamore tree and the leader's den
is in a small sycamore tree on the opposite side of the camp.

fernclan
fernclan's dens are dug into, the pasture of grass they are situated on has
some hills scattered across it, in which the cats chose the hill near the pond
and dug seperate entrances into it. for extra strength and security the cats
have set up sticks to hold up the natural dirt ceiling as to preserve the dens.

roseclan
roseclan's dens are little caves nearby the river, the warrior's den is a much
bigger cave than the leader's den, but the leader's den is right next to the
warrior's den, opposite of heronclan's layout.

the gathering place

all the cats of the clans gather every moon on the edge of the forest, which is
right next to heronclan's and fernclan's border.

the original clan that the two other clans originated from. the terrain is near a forest and a marsh,
which if you go far enough down the marsh to the north you will encounter a river
which is right on the border of roseclan. if you go to the east and follow the
natural-growing row of sycamore trees you will find yourself on the border of fernclan.
heronclan's most common prey is usually frogs, mice, squirrels, and a rabbit if you're
lucky. common predators and competition can be otters, which compete for their food
as well as can be aggressive, but they don't come around the marsh very often, coyotes
and wolves are more of a threat and are more common.

fernclan is well-known for it's skilled hunters who are able to climb underground
into the animals' dens and capture them. they live on a grassland terrain where
trees are rare but high grass can be quite common. they have one water source
which is a fairly medium-sized pond near the edge of their territory and the start of
heronclan's territory. they are a prideful clan who are skilled in speed and stamina.
common prey are rabbits, prairie dogs, field mice, and less commonly moles. common
predators and competition are badgers and less commonly coyotes. badgers don't usually
attack unless they smell an abundance of blood or if they are aggravated in anyway by the
clan cats.

roseclan lives by the river which increases the risk of flooding but then they
also have more prey options. they are generally recognized for their opposition
to accepting charity and help. they are great hunters when it comes to fish but
when the river freezes over they turn to hunting in the nearby trees that are on
the edge of their territory and nearby heronclan's territory. common prey is fish
such as salmon, cod, and bass as well as moles are another common prey.
