Are you guys also interested in Danganronpa fan games? Because SDRA2 just came out with their final chapter and it destroyed me :(

I saw the final chapter in my recommended! I've actually been planning on watching/playing the Another series, but I know it's in Korean so I'll have to look for a translation. Do you know if there's a translated version of the games that we can play instead of just watch, or are the games only in Korean?

...but... I mostly just ignore the anime tbh. Really, I only watched like one episode of DR3 and know the major stuff from like fandom osmosis. Therefore I can't really comment on the Izuru stuff (uhhh they live and die by the meme???). Didn't he kill like one dude though?

I sat through the entire series painfully. The one part that I actually enjoyed (apart from some of the antics of Class 77 in early Despair Arc and the brief talk on memes) was the first killing game of the student council. Yes, he killed one guy at the end out of self defense. That whole part interested me because in Danganronpa 2 we're told that he killed the entire council. This is what Junko also tells the Reserve Course, which leads to their demise. It's interesting to see how she warps the truth to manipulate the student body... but like I said, that's the only good part about the anime lol

For SDRA2 they're currently working on a dub/translation! But it hasn't been released yet and it took them a while to translate chapter 1. So currently we can only watch the series on Youtube or struggle to play it in korean lol

I enjoyed DR3 Future Arc somewhat. I really wished that for Despair Arc they hadn't used brainwashing as a plot device and instead had Junko manipulate class 77 and exploit their desires and weaknesses the way it's implied she did in 2-6.

Another big pet peeve is that they brought Kirigiri back to life after she had such a good meaningful death. I don't want her to be relegated to Dead Waifu but her death scene was really powerful and well-foreshadowed and it felt cheap for them to bring her back.

The ending sucked, though. The whole series emphasized how elitism and social divides are harmful and then at the end they reopened Hope's Peak? And this was somehow treated as a good thing?

I liked most of the new characters though. Mitarai, Yukizome, Sakakura, Munakata, and Seiko were characters that were really enjoyable for me to watch (and Ruruka to some extent too). Sakakura and Munakata are kind of guilty pleasures for me though, because objectively I know that they're not healthy depictions of good people, but I can't help liking them anyway.

^^I agree with the Kirigiri thing, not to say I ddin't like her but her death was actually meaningful.









Also, few things from me, got my friend to watch Danganronpa, and first she confused Kyoko with Kiyotaka, then said she had white hair.

Ahh, danganstuck. What an amazing experience... i also have some homestuck danganronpa sprites lol
