- rare 9.09
- This lists the cobweb bun as rare seemingly during 09 but not clear when that was added as it's been edited as recently as 2015.

Oof that bunny thread is a gold mine. It's got some bunnies listed as Rare that I had down as VR since release (Hyena, Moonswirl, Pink Balloon, Galaxy & Blue Sorb). But the thread was made in September 09 so rarities weren't added yet, so it could be a guess? Considering they have the Joker Bun down as Rare... but I did some digging and found this post of the BMD bunny being Rare sooooo looks like I better add all those buns to the list ^^"

anyway, the first three on your list are here. i couldn't find anything really for the cake dog other than some super vague posts but somebody else might have some more luck than me.

vague suggestion here that the nick was rare by this point in time (oct '09).
there's one post here which kinda suggests it had the same rarity tag as the speckled rats by dec '09
the first mention i could find searching 1F556537C432C87E26BA6B829CD02545 was just the rares' list guide from feb 2010. apparently it went rare before the roadkill horse did.

the peppermint earred dog was originally uncommon according to these posts here and here
it turned rare in 2009.

Oooo these bunnies are huge information for us! This rarities are from october when was rarity added. Last update of that post is from 2015, so I guess that owner edited that post and added bunnies rarity, when was rarity released? But joker bunny confusing me as well, so that not must be 100% informations.
That mean that some of these Rare bunnies had to change very soon after releasing of rarity, like at november, december 2009 (or very early 2010).

Didn't Nick originally say that some of these pets might fluctuate in rarity quite soon? I'm not sure if that could be called a real fluctuation in that case as it would have just been Nick correcting the rarity boundaries.

St.Patrick's Day Dog was listed as uncommon in Jan 09 (also a proof for the Pirate Rat's first rarity)
Ghost Cat was rare in Dec 09 that post also lists the pink balloon, BMD and moonswirl bunny as very rare (contradicts with what you found, Aurora, maybe the BMD changed rarity real quick) and the floppy eared and tufted eared blood dogs as rare.

@amarok. - Oh bless you those advents have been driving me absolutely insane. Those links are a huge help! With that list I feel pretty confident assuming those advents changed UC to R in December 09.

@Lufik - Yeah that Joker bunny is puzzling me... but I'm inclined to believe the others were rare until Dec 09/Jan 10. They were deinitely VR in January, but whether they changed before will require a bit more digging.

@Asvoria - There were a lot that went rare in December 09, but some didn't which is why I'm chasing down their original rarities. It's just very hard finding good information in, like, a month's timeframe. Because a post from Dec 09 could be after the rarity update, and there's a bunch of info from January 2010 but it doesn't help exactly pinpoint the full histories.

If I had to guess I'd say I offered 2 rare for a vr, since that rat I offered was rare at the time. But idk when the pps lion changed?? Back then, a LOT people had the 2 r=vr thing a lot in their trades (and I joined in 2010, so I was still pretty new) so I would have probably followed their rules.
I know it's not EXACT, but I can tell you, back then if I saw that rarity chart in people's rules, I tended to follow it cause I didn't know better.
