indentromeo pulled the napkin off of his head, using it to wipe away the frosting mustache. "what if i say please?" he responded in a jest to rosie's joke, playfully wiggling his eyebrows at her. he got up from his chair, passing his plate to anthony who went over to the trash to dump the remains. he used the napkin to clean off the small table platform connected to sam's high chair, which he had dirtied by tossing his cake around. he attempted to use the clean side of the napkin to wipe off some of the cake and frosting off of sam's face and although the baby allowed him to for a few seconds, he quickly became stubborn and began to pull away. he'd definitely need a bath.

"Well, I suppose I'd consider it if you asked very nicely," Rosie teased back, taking the plates from Anthony to wash off with a sponge. She'd have to give Sam's chair a proper cleaning, since it was covered in cake and frosting.

indentromeo couldn't help the small smile that grew on his lips when rosie teased him back. she had a good sense of humor - she's always had a good sense of humor, ever since he first met her - and she was always willing to tease him back or joke around but the last time he had teased her in regards to romance that one time in the break room at the court-house, she had gotten upset and so romeo now tried to avoid bringing up such things at all costs. but still, every once and a while such things just happened to slip out. he vaguely noticed lana and anthony both look at each other before anthony spoke, "i think it's best if we head out now." lana wiped her hands off with a dish-rag after helping rosie clean off some of the plates and forks.

"Thanks for coming," Rosie said as Anthony announced their intentions to leave, "and thank you for the rattle, I think Sam might have a new favourite toy." She followed them to the door to bid them farewell, "do you two have a set date for your move, as of yet?"

indent"of course," lana responded to rosie's gratitude, picking up her purse as she and her husband began to head to the door. she made sure to give her goodbyes to sam before she gave romeo a quick kiss on the cheek in farewell as anthony briefly clasped his shoulder. romeo stayed in the doorway between the kitchen and living room, not wanting to leave sam in the kitchen by his lonesome as rosie walked the two adults out. at rosie's question, lana shook her head. "not an exact date, no, but we're thinking sometime within the next two weeks. we're probably going to take a boat to europe, it's much too expensive to fly so we have to look into it a bit more but we already begun preparations."

"Well, hopefully we can have a proper farewell dinner before then." Rosie said, giving Lana a quick hug as the couple departed. She closed the door behind her, heading back to the kitchen. "Alright Samy, it's bath time." She cooed to her son, plucking him out of his high chair and holding him close, uncaring of the cake and frosting getting on her dress.

indentromeo watched as lana and anthony left, his attention switching to rosie as she closed the door and returned to the kitchen. she picked sam up out of his high chair, the baby still coated in frosting and cake. he leaned against the door-frame. "do you want me to help with anything before i go? like clean?" he eyed the high chair, that was still a bit dirty from sam's cake fest. he didn't mind staying for a while to help clean while she bathed sam although he did not particularly mind, either, if she just wanted him to go home.

"Oh, no you don't need to. I've got it under control." Rosie shook her head, not wanting to make Romeo do her chores for her. They wouldn't take her very long anyhow, "thanks for the offer though."

indentromeo nodded in response. "alright. i'll see you later, then." he looked down at sam, still sitting in rosie's arms. "i'll see you soon, okay, little man?" he bent down to his level a little bit to give him a kiss on his cheek. he heard the baby squeal before he felt small hands touch his cheeks, smearing some frosting on his face. romeo quickly leaned back up, not having expected sam to touch him but he probably should have known since sam probably thought he was trying to be playful and romeo's little stunt earlier with putting frosting on his face didn't help with that. "i probably deserved that," he mused as he used a napkin from the counter to wipe away the frosting real quick.

"Probably," Rosie laughed, "say bye to daddy Sam, nicely this time," she encouraged. Sam looked at his dad, giggling at the smeared frosting, "buh-bye dada," he cheered out as Rosie took him into the bathroom.

Three months later Rosie stood in front of Romeos apartment door, having just knocked. Sam was in his stroller and a bag of overnight esstientals laid by the wheels. It would be Sam's first time spending the weekend at his dad's and she could admit she was a little nervous.
