"Oh well, I'll need to get you to a-" She was stunned as a black thing almost hit her in the face. "Ah! Splash! Use Water gun on that person over there, aim for the thing that shoots the nets!" She noticed that Lapras was caught again. "Oh! Dizzie! Use scratch on the rope before Lapras gets hurt again!" She reached for Lapras' head, stroking it gently. "Don't worry, Splash is strong, I'm sure his water gun would knock that thing out of their hands in no time. You'll have no-more trouble!" She said, hopefully.

She smiled at it. "If you don't want me to leave there is one thing I can do." She took her bag off before picking up a shiny, clean pokeball. It's smooth surface shined in the sun and she stood up, looking at it. "One thing..." She said again. "It would probably be uncomfortable travelling on land to the pokemon center, so if you'd go in this ball..." She turned it around, shaking nervously. "I can release you after you're healed if you want, I just, it's dangerous in the water when your hurt." Lizzie holds out the ball to it.

Bonnibel ruffled her Scorbunny's fur playfully as they left the Pokecentre. "Alright, alright!" she grinned down at her Pokemon, scanning the map as he finally gave it back to her. "Where to first?" Bonnie looked up, her eyes focused down the pathways leading ahead. A flash of something white and orange caught her eye, and as she followed it, she found Higgs bouncing up and down excitedly on a path leading left out of town. "Of course, that way!" She broke into a jog to catch up to her Pokemon. Both Bonni and Higgs then headed left out into the fields of Hoenn, looking forward to the adventure.

The little Snover looks at you with a bit of determination in his eyes. Seems like he's been a bit inspired to be a bit braver in his actions now that he has some friends by his side! As the three of you travel into the woods, you start to hear the bushes around you rustle a little, as if something is in them...

Before a young female preschooler bursts out of the bushes! Chasing a small group of Snovers about! The Snover that you bumped into earlier seems to be quite fearful of her! Seems like she's been chasing these Pokemon around for a while now.

Magpie nearly cried out when she heard bushes rustling,
but she had to stop herself from laughing when she saw
that the thing that she was scared of was just a kid. She
still had to do something, though, so Magpie walked to
the preschooler rather briskly. "Hey there!" Magpie
called. "What brings you here? Are you trying to catch a
snover?" She asked in the kindest tone she could muster.
She really wanted to find out more about the girl's
objective before accusing her of spooking snovers for no
apparen reason. She had to want something, right?

Christine rose from her cot, every bone in her body cracking with slow, careful movements. It was dark, and a bit cold; the young girl simply pulled her blanket tighter around her thin shoulders as she attempted to rise off the thin mattress. A single, flickering lightbulb was lit, illuminating the small space in a friendly glow. It was barely past sunrise, but after a night full of tossing and turning, Chris didn't see the point in trying to extend any sort of rest. She prepared herself in a fashion that showed routine; a carefully-set pattern of brushing hair, donning uniform, washing face, and cleaning up until she looked like an almost-regular, awake person. Although she had officially worked her last day at the restaurant yesterday, the blue frock was only nice garment left, so it made sense to wear it to officially leave on her journey.

After years of working small jobs, growing callouses on her palms and standing until she was alseep on her feet, Christine had finally put together just enough money to support her on her Pokemon journey. It wasn't a lot, but it was just enough to get her on her feet to begin exploring.

Looking to the foot of her bed, Oshawott-- her friend of the last several years-- still slept soundly. He looked so peaceful, much more relaxed than his usual careful self, and she hated to rouse him from his rest. But it sent a thrill through her to know that it was finally time to go explore.

"Kali. Kali, sweetheart, it's time to go." Chris whispered, shaking him slightly. Big, blue, bleary eyes blinked open as the small Pokemon began to wake, eventually grinning brightly as the pressure of the day sank in. "Are you ready?" Christine asked, holding out her arms for the Pokemon to hop up and take his customary place on her shoulder. "It's time to go!"

Met with a resounding nod and cry of "watt!", Christine swept up her pokemon and left her house to head toward the nearest city.

As you make your way towards the closest city, you find yourself in a deep patch of grass. The grass brushes your ankles, and oshawatt seems to be enjoying the fresh air. After stumbling around a little bit, you find that the grass looks a bit more squashed as you continue down the route. Maybe a large pokemon had been walking around here..?
