“From...back there.” He pointed back with his thumb in no particular direction.

O-bee-nee??? He mouthed the name to himself. What a weird picking name.

Upon being healed, he sat up, rubbing the back of his head. The cool relief washed over him and evaporated the pain and nausea.

And I was healed byyy...? He looked at the little girl with his big, weird round eyes. He had a sad, sympathetic look, like he was looking at a three-legged puppy.

“Where y’all going?” His words were addressed to Isaac, but his eyes kept sulking at Obiini. They squinted a little when she took a pill right in front of him.

“Hopefully to the Cypress Kingdom.” Alex answers. Deciding to sit in the grass where she had been standing since they were waiting for things to calm down in the town “we know a guy there who can hopefully give us somewhere safe to stay while... While things... Settle down, in the Contorta Kingdom.” She sighs gently. She could guess things wouldn’t settle down. Not really. Not in a way where it’d be safe for them to go back. Not on it’s own.

Issac absently rubs Obinni’s back as he listens to Alex. She turns and leans against him. Facing more towards Vitali and Alex now. But she looks over and gives Ceph a small reassuring smile.

As Roxy neared the inn, she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. Fighter's intuition was never wrong. She was being followed. "If you're looking for money," She called out, not turning around, "I don't have any. I'd go find somewhere else to skulk around before you get hurt." Her hands curled into fists at her sides, but she made no other moves. Was this a bounty hunter? An assassin, maybe? She couldn't be sure, but she wasn't going to take any chances. She'd probably have to move on after this, however it went. Unfortunate, but that's how the life of a fugitive was.

“D’aw, how’d you know?” She asked, leaping down and landing with precision, smiling with a sunny disposition. “I thought I was bein real sneaky like. But! I saw that cool fight back there! It was real nifty, all their abilities and such. And then that cool portal thing! But I saw you didn’t really get involved and didn’t go after them or the guards... Aren’t you just the interesting type?”

"I am from Contorta... well..." Vitali started to answer the question, then hesitanted, before eventually explaining himself some more. "... I was born and raised elsewhere. But my family moved to Contorta about five years ago. And now... it looks like I must find somewhere new." he shrugged a little. It had been hard enough to come to somewhere new where he didn't know the language. He was hoping that he wouldn't have to do that again...

He was curious to hear about the travel to the Cypress Kingdom. Perhaps he would have to join the group over there... even though he didn't know anyone there, so he guessed he'd have to find his own place. But it was better than travelling on his own. "I do not like this. Something must be done." Vitali commented. But what could he do? He wasn't strong enough. He didn't know the first thing he could do.

Alex looked at him sympathetically, as he explains he's from the Controta Kingdom, her shoulders shifting. At his statement about something needing to be done, she lowers her head. "I agree. Something needs to be done." She breathes, her monotone voice somehow extra dead. "But the queen fled. And hasn't been seen since... And.. Everyone who was loyal to her at the castle has been killed." Issac looks between Vitali and Cephas. "The person we're going to in the Cypress Kingdom... He can help us. Hopefully. Help us find people." He narrows his eyes. "We're not just going to hide out there. We're going to come up with a plan.. To get the queen her throne back." He murmurs. His tone serious. "If you're serious... About something needing to be done... Then... You can come with us." He looks at Cephas "Both of you. Ceph, you're young... I don't know if it's safe for you to be in the borderlands alone."At least not permanently."

Overhead, the hawk that had been circling swoops down towards them, and lands near Alex. Suddenly it glows and shifts, until a human is standing in place of the hawk. The teen is breathless but has concern in his eyes "Are you guys ok? I saw what happened... I'm sorry I didn't help its just.. I.. I thought I'd be more useful helping if... If.. Yeah.." he rubs the back of his head, just under his small black ponytail. "It would have been too risky..." Obinni hops up from her spot and runs over to him. "Mr. Jet!" She says happily and leaps at him. He yelps and barely catches her. "Hehe.. Hey kiddo." "This is Jet." Issac introduces. "A friend of ours. He's been traveling with us to the Cypress Kingdom." "'Cept I mostly fly." Jet says with a shrug. His eyes are milky white. If one didn't know better, they might say he's blind.

This was SO much bigger and cooler than Cephas anticipated. This was monarchal espionage! Treason, maybe! All the way to the top! He wasn’t fully certain about going back to Cypress, though. But if the Borderlands were about to stop being safe, then nowhere would be better to be unsafe in than in the middle of a royal coup!

“Heck yes.”

After his expression of excitement, the hawk above them turned into a PERSON and was introduced by the group.

“HECK. YES.”

If the girl was trying to be cute, it wasn't working. Roxy still wasn't quite sure what her angle was, but generally speaking well-wishers didn't wax analytical when they introduced themselves. Not that they'd been introduced yet, but she wasn't complaining about that part. The less she had to connect with other people, the better. "I'm the type who doesn't go sticking their nose where it doesn't belong," she said gruffly, "and if you had any sense you'd do the same." As she spoke, Roxy shifted her weight forward ever so slightly, resting on the balls of her feet. She couldn't help but feel like the girl was leading the conversation somewhere, presumably to either an arrest or a challenge. Really she wished she'd get on with it, but there was always the chance this was just a perfectly innocent weirdo.

“Hey now.” Jo held her hands up in a faux-surrender type gesture. “I’m really not looking for trouble. Just some fun! That group who escaped from the guards looked like an interesting bunch... I was kinda just wanting to know if you knew which way they went, or if maybe you yourself could use a pal.” The thought of finding something valuable on her had crossed Jo’s mind, but now that she was up close she was sure there wasn’t really anything near worth the trouble.

Jet smirks at Cephas, and sets Obinni down.

Alex sighs "Are you sure... Really sure?" She breathes. "Even with what the news has been saying about the queen..? The news says that all her motivations.. Where messed up. That she.. She was in a relationship with a..Traitor... It was proven self defence, but.. He still killed people." She looks up "I believe that you no matter her motivations.. She's better then Zane. She's.. Never killed someone in cold blood. The Contorta Kingdom was safe." She sighs "Before you come with us... I... I want to know that you're ok. With what the news says... That you're ok with her being on the throne again."

Obinni looks over, slumping slightly. "Alex, we know she's better." She says softly. Alex smiles "I know. But not everyone shares that opinion." She says gently
