Watching the she-cat limp away, Ace shrugged to herself sniffing the borderline. "Whatever makes you happy, weird cat." With a grin, she crossed the border and began making her through the territory, careful to avoid any clan cats that may be nearby. Taking one last glance at the other loner, the tortoiseshell dashed away from the border, wondering if she would see that loner again.

She smiled trying to stay calm. Thrushstar had been a great friend and leader to her and his passing would be hurtful. Ravenfeather looked over at Drizzlemask. "Thrushstar is sick there's no need to worry." She smiled looking at the other she-cat.

Silverstrike moved a bit away from the den, resting closer to the warrior den. Crowding Pebblestream’s den would in no way get them answers sooner. She kept her ears perked as her eyes remained glued to the medicine cat’s den entranceway. She didn’t know if their leader would pull through this, but she honestly had a bad feeling about it. She kept her face void of expression, trying not to cause too much panic even though the camp was clearly feeling the negative energy.

Puddlepaw nodded after his mentor gave instruction, his ears perked though he suddenly felt nervous. He took one silent breath before he started stepping closer to the bush. He tried to watch where he was placing his paws, willing himself not to step on anything that would scare the mouse away. After a bit of silent stalking, it finally came into view. He felt the excitement build in his chest but tried not to move too quickly.

He lunged for the mouse just as it started to flee. His left paw overshot causing the mouse to slip through but he recovered quickly, remaining in a chase right at its heels. Once he had gotten close enough, he lunged once more, trapping the small mouse beneath his claws. With one swift blow, the young tom killed the prey and sent a silent thanks to starclan. “I got it!” he chirped as he looked over at his mentor.

There was a bit of a commotion going on in the medicine cat den, something going on with Thrushstar. He let out a annoyed sigh, not the least bit worried about their leader. His tail tapped the ground, his green gaze scanning the camp slowly. His tongue swiped his muzzle, wondering where his mentor was. He heard a voice nearby, and turned to see the tom. He let out a sigh, letting a bored look appear on his face. "I've been ready to do something for awhile Smoketail. There's something going on in the medicine cat then though, something about Thrushstar though I'm sure its not important. He'll be fine. So, I'm ready whenever you are to start training.", despite his bored words things definitely didn't seem okay. But Thrushstar was old anyway, and he was probably nearing his final lives too. If, he died then so be it, he'd go to Starclan or whatever they were believing in now.

Watching Puddlepaw carefully, Birdtalon perked up when he showed her his catch. "Well done!" She praised him, padding over to Puddlepaw, "Though, when you pounce, try to match your left paw with your right paw, so that way you can make sure prey won't slip through again." The tabby said, still smiling at her apprentice. "You can bury it here and pick it up once we go back to camp." Birdtalon told him, waiting for her apprentice to oblige.

Puddlepaw let a quiet and raspy purr rumble in his throat at his mentor’s praise. He had begun to see the she-cat as more of a mother figure even if she didn’t know it. Being that he had never met his own mother, she had been the closest since she taught him everything he knew. He nodded in response to her instructions and dug his paws into the dirt, scooping it out before dropping the mouse into the hole. He pushed the dirt back over it before he returned to Birdtalon’s side.
