Harris gripped his pokemon as he looked around for the source of the laughter. "Ominous creaking, sudden laughter... don't tell me it's a Ghost type!" Caesar hissed as he nudged himself away from Eight, who was cuddling closely to him.

At the mention of ghosts, everything goes suddenly dark. Foreign whispering can be heard, then everything flickers back to life. In a last-ditch attempt to startle you, a shuppet pops into view and vanishes.

Stumpy sighed in relief once Jalepeño relented. She watched the Lantern leave once more, only to return with another Pokémon on its back. "Oh, is that your friend?" Stumpy asked, amazed at how friendly the lantern had suddenly become.

(sorry for the delay!)

The lantern gives a little nod. The dedenne jumps onto land and sniffs you carefully, then decides to sit next to you and Jalepeño. Jalepeño glances at it and bends down, scoops some water into her hand, then splashes some water onto dedenne. Dedenne has little electricity sparking from it's cheeks! That's not good. Jalepeño certainly doesn't want to get zapped so she moves away- yikes.

Meanwhile, the lantern stares at you thoughtfully, as if considering joining you on your adventure.

It seems the gig's up. The lights return to normal, and the door creaks back open. A couple of shuppet fly down, but are quickly shooed away by a zorark, who seemed to have been manning the operation. The Pokémon gestures towards the table, to where a misdreavus lay, looking quite tired. It seems like the Pokémon wanted to help their sickly friend.

Stumpy glanced over at the new Dedenne, only to watch her get water dumped on her head. "Hey, Jalepeño, don't do that. You didn't want to be splashed either, did you?" Stumpy warned, cautiously picking her up, as to avoid having anyone be zapped.

Luxray nods and tepig glances at it nervously, then skips ahead of you, parting through the grass. Tepig glances back at you again, asking you to show them the way to the pokecenter.

Tepig then trips on something- oh, a fire stone. Interesting.

Casually going to the pokemon center with a wild Luxray.

aaaLuxray nods in response and Tepig glances at it. He still seems nervous being around such a large predator. The small fire-type then skips ahead of me, parting the grass. It glances back at the Luxray and I as if waiting for instruction, then stumbles on something.
aaaLuxray scrutinizes me as I approach the object Tepig tripped on. Its fiery pattern stands out clearly against the duller-colored dirt. I pick it up and upon closer inspection, I realize it's a fire stone. I freeze, the object warming up my hand. Weren't stones like these really rare?
aaaTepig looks up at me and I stand back up, putting the fire stone into my backpack. I glance back at Luxray and look at Tepig before signaling for them to follow me once more. I start walking. "Um, let's go. For real this time."

Spark heads towards the pokemon center with Tepig and Luxray! (Again!)

As you approach the pokécenter, Nurse Joy greets you. "How may I help you?" She says, before taking notice of Luxray's tail. "Oh no, poor thing. Did you get into a trap?" Nurse Joy quickly turns around to grab a potion off a shelf, before coming around the counter and heading closer to the Luxray- but however, Luxray growls and backs off, fur pricked with static coming out of it. "Are they a wild pokémon?" Nurse Joy asked, confused.

(a heads up that i'll be missing for a majority of the week next week for a trip, do feel free to get a temp mod if you wish beforehand!)

Jalepeño sighs and nods. Dedenne looks up at you and then climbs onto your head- dedenne seems very friendly towards you! Lantern swims around in the water nearby, happy to see you guys are getting along very well.

Bonnibel winced slightly, but her Scorbunny still seemed ok. She knew she couldn't use any stat moves, but that didn't waver her confidence. She had a Pokemon to rescue!

"Hang in there Higgs!" she called reassuringly. Higgs looked back at her and nodded.

"Use tackle again!"
