Hello.
My soul is probably never going to heal after seeing the Koalas, Kangaroos and other wildlife of Australia suffer from burning injuries. As an idea of how to gather financial help for the Koala hospital in Australia I suggest CS staff make an exclusive line of store pets priced higher than normal ones. The extra pay be converted to dollars by exchange rate and donated to the hospital. π¨

Chicken smoothie is largely made up of children who wouldnβt have the ability to donate so such a pet would be bought with traded C$ and wouldnβt help the cause in any way.
If you want to help out, donate to a charity that you know the funds will be used to help. You donβt need a pet reward for this.

I support this! But I also understand what the person above is saying. We donβt need a reward for donating. But I would think it would be cool if CS tried to do this c:
Animal ideas-
Koalas
Kangaroos
Platypus (I love these!)
Wombats
Dingos (they are so pretty but vicious)
I donβt live in Australia but I would love people support!

I suppose you've misunderstood the concept of this idea. It's like one of those charity events where people show up and buy sweets a bit expensive since they know the extra dollars are going to a good cause. It's not rewarding donation. Since vast majority of CS users as you claim are children wouldn't it be appropriate to have this " Charity sale" in form of store pets?

Even if it does no real good money-wise, it'll raise awareness and perhaps make people realise how serious this is. A lot of kids, of even young adults, may not even be aware of the issues - my own flatmates weren't aware until they heard something on the radio yesterday.

big agree. i think it'd be an excellent idea for chicken smoothie to raise awareness about the fires while also raising money to donate to the wildlife rescues and rural fire services.

and i kinda disagree with this. with large bases of kids come parents who will buy their kids c$, toys, etc, that they can't buy on their own. i think you can help by donating to a charity where funds will be used to help, but it's a great incentive and smarter way to raise money for the charity this way - like putting storepets up, where proceeds will go to charity, but there can also be links to donate a smaller amount of money if you can't afford the pet. i see where you're coming from, but i feel like the way it's phrased is hostile against something meant to be positive,,

This.
Also, at the end of the day, what harm could it really do? If all of the proceeds go towards the fires, especially when the store pets will likely be bought anyway, it's only going to do good. Nobody is profiting from it except the people who need the money to start with.
