Redfur looked between Fernsnap and the strangers, a deep suspicion in his eyes as he tried to figure out if they were being sincere or not. He narrowed his gaze at the them, they were smaller than them and his mind started going over different openings, if he struck to the right, no, shoulders trembled a bit as he took a step back. No, he wasn’t going to fight these cats, he wasn’t going to hurt anyone. His instincts and experience told him not to trust them, that they could just be saying things to get his guard down then leave and tell the clans. He’d be chased out again, just as he had been at every other place he’d tried to settle. Still, that wasn’t worth harming them. Then there was Fernsnap, what would the clan do to her? This was her home and she’d risked it to help him, he’d long since gotten used to the idea but now that the risk had become reality he had to choke down a wave of guilt. The one with the big ears had sounded genuinely concerned about his wounded forearm. Redfur didn’t know how to feel about that and for moment wondered what the cats reaction would be if he knew just how he’d gotten that wound. A look of surprise flickered across his face when one of the strangers said friend and mentor to Fernsnap. So this must be the Softpaw, the apprentice he’d heard so much about, his ears perked up slightly but his defensive posture didn’t change. Not knowing if anything he’d say would make the situation worse he just to Fernsnap, figuring he’d let her do the talking for now.

"They surely are," he agreed and smiled wistfully. "I'm just hoping all goes well with Waterowl's birth," Ripplestar added. He tore his eyes away from the nursery and tried not to dwell on the "what ifs" and other possibilities. It didn't help his current negative mindset due to so many missing cats. "I suppose you're right. It's been a moon, and if Spottedlily doesn't come back... I'll have to appoint a new medicine cat and send them to the Everlasting Mountain so Starclan can grant them their rank." It was an odd way to go about the tradition, but these were odd times indeed and traditions had to be twisted now.

He glanced around the clearing and noticed a pair of eyes glancing at him from a tree. "Hello?" Tinyseal ventured, feigning off fear in his voice and clearing his throat. It occurred to him at her pelt was fluffed up, and he tried to keep his flat. He didn't want to come off as a threat. She seemed to be very young and scrawny, which wasn't a surprise considering leaf-bare was next moon. But the she-cat also had an advantage... well, perhaps many. Tinyseal was on the ground and didn't know many fighting moves, while the other cat was above him and possibly knew something about fighting. I hope it doesn't come to that, he thought bitterly and for a moment wondered if it was a Summitclan cat.

Badgerbloom could not help but bloom with joy as she saw that Mothlight was slowly but surely brightening and cheering up. It made her chest warm and fuzzy knowing that atleast for now the much larger cat was in a better mood. Nothing made Badgerbloom happier than her clanmates being happy.
As Mothlight began speaking about Shoreclan she nodded along with her words. Surely the other clan was missing their loved ones as well. Badgerbloom couldn't imagine the pain the cats who's friends and kin were missing. She knew all of the clan cats who were gone but none had been family to her. She was lucky enough that her loved ones were still safe. "If nothing else maybe the clans can work together to find everyone." She said calmly, following Mothlight's gaze around camp. To her, both clans were cats all the same. No one clan was better than the other and she wished no harm to either. She just wanted everyone to be happy and safe. That being said, as soon as the gathering was brought up her attention shifted from it's serious tone to nothing but excitement. "I wish it was under better circumstances but yes! Its my first gathering." She purred happily, shutting her eyes in a large toothy grin. "Iv only ever seen shoreclan cats across the border on patrols." She admitted, shuffling her paws in an excitable twitch. "I wonder if there are any cats my age in their clan too?" She mused a curious gleam in her odd eyes.

Cindercloud listened to the tom speak, her ears flickering as she caught the sounds of his voice. As he spoke, she looked up towards the treetops again, picturing the pink-nosed top just laying amongst the branches without a care in the world. His blunt admittance to not wanting to watch the ceremony made her eyes flicker back towards him, just in time to catch his smile. She shifted to face him better before tilting her head towards the forest as an offer to talk as they walked and an invite for a hunt. She preferred hunting alone but if they were going to be talking she figured they might as well be productive while they did so. As she waited for his response she answered his question. "Gloomy and like all the others before it. The new warriors were excited but you could feel everyone else's unease knowing that the rest of the clan has vanished." She shrugged and gave her honest opinion as she spoke. "Rabbitstar has a habit of making the ceremonies so dragged out that by the time Stagpaw, now Stagleap, got his name everyone was growing restless. She still has Hornetpaw to name and then who knows what she plans to do." The large cat looked towards camp and then back over towards Pignose. "Nothing exciting or grand. Nothing new about the missing cats or what she plans to do about anything."

Crabfur bent and picked the prey back up, following the other cats back to camp in silence. He stuck close to Creamflower and watched their surroundings as they moved. Once they finally arrived back to camp he quickly slinked off and deposited the prey in the fresh kill pile. The dreary weather and stress from the kit had made his leg begin to ache and he decided to not return to Creamflower and the others, especially once more clan cats began to gather around the kit. 'The farther from trouble the better.' he thought, as he turned to walk towards the dens. The kit had been Creamflower's find and she seemed fine to care for it on her own. He told himself it had nothing to do with him as he snuck into a cool sandy den.

Fernsnap's tail swished as she spoke. "This is Redfur. He's a very good friend of mine and harmless to the clan even though he's an outsider," she said, looking back at the tom. "Redfur, this is Softpaw and Sagepaw, two apprentices from my clan," she continued. She still wasn't sure if she trusted the two apprentices to keep their mouths shut but there was nothing she could do about it.

The grey tom didn't realize how comfortable he was or he would have moved. A soft yawn left the apprentice, feeling surprisingly tired. Snuggling deeper into Palejaw's fur, Tinypaw let out a rumbling purr. A smile graced his jaw as the grey-furred feline fell into a light sleep.

Not finding anyone to talk too or patrol with the feline sighed, and decided to just roll with it. Shaking out her fur one last time, Servalnose trotted out out camp. Her plan was to go hunting along the clan's border. Old mood forgotten, the feline trotted along mind focused on hunting. The chirping of a bird caught her attention, causing her to pause. Tasting the air she smiled as she realized that it was a robin. Silently she padded toward the sound, intent on catching her prey.

The lynx point tom merely sighed as his cousin fell asleep not-cuddled-up next to him. A slight grimace made its way to his lips as he looked down at the younger tom. With the soft shake of his head, the brute whispered," I should really kill that snake-hearted she-cat." Then maybe he wouldn't just have me to look after him. The thickset tom felt like he was nodding off when a shiver ran through his thick coat
and caused his eyes to shoot open, his heart racing. Bearlfuff glanced around frantically,
but nothing was out of sorts. He turned his head slowly to groom his flank when two bright
blue eyes caught him off guard and he had to blink to make sure he wasn't dreaming. "M-mallowpaw-?"
the maine coon's brain was foggy as his surprise took longer than expected to wear off. "F-Frogs?"
Bearfluff was mildly confused, but then again he knew that this was quite typical of the young tom.
He forced a small, amused huff and settled down with his paws tucked under his chest, his neck-fur puffing
out like a mane. "I honestly don't know why I'm bigger than most other cats," he murmured softly,
"Though I presume it's the same reasons your eyes are blue and fur is black and grey." he took one
large paw and batted carefully at Mallowpaw's ears, sympathizing with his boredom. He took a moment
to study him, then shoot him a mischievious look as he lowered his head to whisper to the apprentice,
"Say Mallowpaw, how are your stalking skills?" Bearfluff settled his eye on the warrior Silvertail
he looked back at the apprentice, brows raised in expectation, "Your options are wide open, and
it looks to me like he's distracted." Bearlfuff watched the young cat's face, feeling the kit-like
urge to stir up some trouble.

Thistlepaw stiffened everytime her paw steps faded a little, and at the
same time he wanted to cuff a paw over her ears for being so... her. He
figured she had no intention of returning with him but at this moment the grey-brown
feline felt he didn't have the time to see what she was planning. Palejaw was going to be
upset if he stayed out too much longer. "ugh, please don't." he grumbled, his head falling
with defeat. She was so tiring to be around, and he realized how exhausted he was just in that
short time when he yawned, his ears flattening as he shook his pelt out. Thinking about his soft
nest, Thistlepaw forgot to keep checking on the molly, but since camp was so close, he could
practically feel the soft bed of moss and feathers and he subconsciously quickened his pace.
