Cedar got up and stretched. He poked Melody, "What?" She asked opening her eyes. "Do you want to hunt?" Cedar asked his friend. "I guess." She said getting up. Cedar ran into the forest and flicked his tail at a buck. Melody nodded and ran, leaping for the throat. Cedar ran and grabbed its front leg tripping it. Melody bit the vital artery, making it bleed out. Together they dragged it back to camp.

Crisis had padded out of her den just at the perfect timing to admire the catch. "Nicely done, Melody and Cedar!" She applaused the two. "I want both of you to go out hunting again, just go serperatly. I saw that catch-You can catch a nice one by yourselves, and thePack needs food. We are glad to hae such healthy hunters."

Melody smiled and nodded, "Ok," Cedar said padding out to the forest. Melody sat and listened for another deer, she saw one but Cedar was already going in. She padded off in the other direction. She saw a doe and crouched down then ran. She got hold of the back and slowly shifted her jaws up to the neck, paused and snapped the neck.
