Her huge skull perked back up at what the injured dog among them said, not in alertness, but in sheer, disbelieving shock. Her hackles raising just a bit, she asked Bramblestream, deadpanning, "So, what, do you plan to just sit there and die? What other option have you proposed?" For no particular reason, she glanced over at Reedpaw - and his expression ripped into her viciously. She hadn't been addressing him, of course, but he looked devastated, his eyes, normally warm, dark and cast down at his own paws. She then remembered, almost immediately, that she'd intended to tell him of Smokenose's passing when they were alone, gently. Instead, he'd presumably just heard the news screamed at him, just so Wildpaw could make a point to another, equally stubborn dog. Instantly, she felt painful remorse. Before she could open her jaws to whimper a meek apology and reassurance, Mossbrook's words hit her with force akin to a monster's. She...didn't want to bring me? Although Wildpaw was intelligent enough to have already suspected that her packmates found her to be a bit much, to actually hear it from another dog...hurt. Plus, they hadn't even been isolated when the warrior made the cruel declaration; she'd said it in front of two others, as if just to humiliate her. Feeling the eyes upon her, Wildpaw's body (and gaze) lowered significantly. She'd been humbled, but she still couldn't help but wonder what Mossbrook's true thought process was. The shallow cut to Wildpaw's shoulder was hardly serious enough to warrant a thorough cleaning, let alone her complete exclusion from a serious mission. To her, it almost seemed as if Mossbrook's judgement was based more on pride than logic, which would explain why she kept claiming to be the strongest and insisting on leaving the next biggest dog out. If Wildpaw was thinking on the right track, Mossbrook was viewing this as an opportunity to prove her worth, just as the apprentice herself saw similar situations. OR, she really is just sick of having to explain herself to a mouthy apprentice half her age. Face it: You're a bomb waiting to go off. Wildpaw's head hung miserably, dark lips pressed into a tight line so she wouldn't say anything else stupid.

Willowpup, Female, 2 months, River Clan, Crush-none and doesn’t want one, tags: mean, feisty, shy, tough Location: an empty den
As Willowpup walked back to her families den, she got many looks. Mostly to see if she was sad or not. Her mom recently died protecting the clan. She looked down and started to eat the small fish she had grabbed out of the pile but into the middle of the territory. Some dogs came to apologize for her mom dying and she nipped at them. “Go away I’m fwine!” She would growl at them. And they would trot away. Sometimes one would drop some food for her but she never ate it. When no one was looking, she would put the fish back and not eat it. She would watch and see some other dog pick up the fish that she just put back and eat it. (She would laugh to herself. Not too loud though because she swore to never laugh again after her mom died.)
Every once in awhile she would get another fish but not too often. She still wanted to be really fast to training after dinner. She would walk around the territory and get looks again but when ever someone would come to talk, Willowpup would snarl, showing all of her sharp little teeth that she would bite them with if they got any closer.
If you are reading this, I probably have decided to leave CS. I apologize to all of the friends I made on here. Have a good life.

Bramblestream took a few steps into the river, the cool water lapping at her front paws. "I suppose it's worth a shot," she conceded, gazing into the water. Wildpaw was strong but Reedpaw was still injured. Her faith in the plan didn't give her any confidence but it would be better than starving to death on Skypack's side of the river. "Reedpaw, how's your shoulder? Can you make it across alright?" she asked, turning to the apprentice. In the past day, she had grown fond of the young pup and didn't want to see him hurt so badly.

Mossbrook realized her words came off not as she intended after she said them, not being the most thoughtful warrior. It was mostly her inexperience and the stress of the situation that caused it. Looking to Reedpaw, she frowned a bit at his injuries. “I can help him across first while taking the vine to Wildpaw. You hold onto the other end so we don’t loose it.” She said, though she wasn’t dumb enough to not recognize the exhaustion it would cause to cross the river another three times, she didn’t care. Her packmates were in danger and she’d risk her own life to get them home, even if her leader disapproved. “After this I’m going to follow Foxpaw’s scent before it’s too late. The three of you need to get back to camp and rest.” She said, having made up her mind on finding Foxpaw the moment she found out she was missing, her loyalty to her pack strong. Sunfur had shaped it by his stories as a pup, always remembering how he saved an apprentice on the thunderpath by sacrificing his body. She knew if she had to she’d do the same in a heartbeat.” Stepping into the river, she braved herself in the mud and looked to Reedpaw. “Let’s go. As time passes you’ll just get weaker and weaker from hunger.”

Chestnutpaw
( ♀ ) - ( English Cream, Boykin Mix ) - ( Apprentice ) - ( RiverPack ) - ( 8 moons old ) - ( No romance ) - ( Tags: )
Chestnutpaw felt at a loss. She realized that Bramblestream and Reedpaw were out looking for Foxpaw, and that Wildpaw and Mossbrook went to search for them. It felt like almost everyone else was being productive except for her! It was unfair. Why couldn't she had gone with them? Oh course she had only realized where they were going a little while after they left camp, but that wasn't the point.
Maybe if I thought of the idea first then I could've gone. I would of at least done something productive. Instead of just sitting in this flea-ridden camp doing nothing! She teared into the squirrel that she was eating, angrily. She then sat alone her with her thoughts, and ideas of helping.

Willowpup, Female, 2 months, River Clan, Crush-none and doesn’t want one, tags: mean, feisty, shy, tough, curious Location: in a den
Willowpup saw some warriors going somewhere. She wanted to know but she wanted someone to come to her first. “Where are you going?” She asked someone leaving.
“To find Foxpaw.”
“Who’s that?” She asked.
“Someone lost.”
“BUT who?!” She started to growl.
“A pup that’s missing. You haven’t heard?”
“NO!” She yelled “I want to go! If I can’t why not?”
“This is only for big dogs, not small pups like you!”
“AUGHH!” She felt like biting the dog, but she didn’t. She knew it was probably forbidden in the “Warrior code” some where
“Ok..” she said sadly.
She went back to her den and curled up into a “sympathy circle” as her mom called it. Even though she was mad and sad, she couldn’t bring herself to pounce the dog.
Then she looked over and saw another lonely dog. She wanted to talk but is very socially awkward except when she is asking a question. So she stood up and went over to him.
“H-h-h i” She said
“Hi” He said.
“I’m Willowpup. Who are you?”
“I’m Chestnutpaw” He said.
“Have you heard about that Foxpaw person?”
“Yes I’m missing out on the action”
“Funny story I am too! Well nice meeting you bye!” Willowpup said as she walked away from him back to her den.

Reedpaw nodded, and stood up. "I-I'm okay. Good enough to have a nice big rabbit when I get back," he joked, and hesitated when Mossbrook signaled him to follow her into the river. It was perfectly true that he was getting weaker by the second, but there was no way Reedpaw was getting across that river at a walking pace. The last time he had attempted it, he had been carried a long ways down-river before getting out. Mossbrook may be able to keep a relatively straight line, and perhaps avoid going under, but she was a lot, lot bigger than him. Reedpaw took a deep breath, and ran to the brink of the river, going under and immediately felt himself be whisked away. If Mossbrook yelled at him, the apprentice couldn't hear. Keep swimming, keep swimming, he thought to himself, and, at long last, the feeling of pebbles beneath his paws, his head burst above the surface, and he made it. Reedpaw dragged himself onto the bank, and collapsed, a small, fleeting smile on his muzzle. Hah, not today, river.

Bramblestream's docked tail gave a small wag as Reedpaw's head managed to bob at the surface of the opposite side of the river. It gave her some form of hope that they may make it back after all. Her heart sank once again at the thought of Foxpaw. Perhaps she should tell Mossbrook what had happened?

Mossbrook did her best to keep close to Reedpaw and shield him from the full strength of the river as he got swept downstream. Panting softly as they made it across, she laid the vine down. “Once you and Wildpaw are ready hold this and don’t let go.” She said before taking a running jump and swimming across for the third time, panting more and not even shaking off. “Bramblestream, bite this vine and believe you’ll make it across. I won’t let you get swept away. If you let go I’ll grab you by the scruff and drag you across myself.”

Willowpup jumped in the river in her territory. She wanted to just play but also to hunt. Being amazing at hunting was in her blood. Her favorite fish to catch definitely rainbow trouts. They gave her a challenge to try to catch and the taste was amazing.
