Technically they're overpaying, but both trade for a non. There is a rising appreciation for zebras, however, so personally I would take my chances with the zebra, but it's up to you.

I agree the zebra seems to be gaining traction, which it should considering it’s one of the rarest pets in the game.

What I was told was that a 2015 store pet is worth an 09 rare, so if that's correct, they're overpaying majorly

Both trades are overpaying by a lot, though the first may be slightly more.
However, I don’t see the difference between the two bids being very high, so my suggestion would be to just pick the trade with the pets you prefer. ^^
