There are many ways you can collect the site's pets, such as:
- Adopt the monthly pets. These change every month.
- Adopt from the pound when it's open.
- Adopt the daily gifts from the advent calendar.
- Buy pets from the C$ store.
- Participate in events such as the Easter, Summer, Halloween, and Christmas events.
- Visit the free adoptions board.
- Trade with other players.

As for what you can do besides trade and collect pets/items, you can:
- Join roleplays.
- Check out some forum games.
- Join a discussion thread
- Draw on the Oekaki program.
- Dress your pets up.
- & much more.
