“That’s amazing man. It’s nice to have someone to go home to.” He said to him.

“Oh really? Then how do you explain her having the mower right here? I knew she was lying...” he said. “Our work here is done. We can report this and call it a day.” Rodgers said and walked out. He headed back to the car. “She told you I am her ex? Odd. She usually doesn’t.” He said.

"It is." he nodded in agreeance, he relaxed, "So, who's watching your new kid?" he asked curiously.

"Because she bought a new one." he said as he looked at him, "No, you should never have been on the case when it is clear you have a bias." he said as he followed him, shaking his head.

“My parents. They are good with her and she likes it there. She will be going back to school soon though. How old are your kids?” He asked.

“Oh really? That’s what she wanted you to think. I am good at my job and she is the one who is a liar. She is good at lying.” He said and drove back to the station. “I will write the report then we can confront her. We have plenty to handle it.” He said.

"Thats good." he said as he looked at Luke, "THey are seven, and eight, and fourteen." he said as he looked over at him.

"No, you are inappropriately on this case." he said as he looked at him, "No, I will inform the chief of the relationship and you will be removed from the case and it will be investigated properly." he told him

“Yeah. It’s nice to have loving accepting parents. We would be taking a lot of time off otherwise.” He said. He looked up as a nurse walked over and into the room.

Rodgers laughed. “It is your word against mine. I am sure I will win.” He said and went inside the station and went to his desk and got to work.

He nodded, Martinez stood and went in with the nurse, he didn't let anyone go in alone with criminals.

Jaxon went to report to the chief, to tell him what he had learne.d

Luke waited for him to come back. He was a sweet guy and Luke appreciated him and he knew their partnership was pretty good. They would be good together.

Rodgers did his work getting that ready. He worked hard on his side. He tried to get everything written since he knew it would take time. He thought it would be better for him to finish it before he was stopped and talked to by the chief.

Matinez came back with the nurse and sat back down, he relaxed and texted his wife.

Jaxon was dismissed by the chief and he growled unhappily, he went to sit at his desk.

Luke sighed as he relaxed a bit. A few people gave them looks for sitting outside the room but He did not mind. He sent a text to his fiancé asking how things were going.

Rodgers looked at him when he came back and laughed. “What? Chief didn’t believe you?” He asked him quietly. He went back to working.

Jaxon sighed and looked at his phone, "Not great, what about you?" he texted back, he didn't know what to do.
