Rive busied herself, keeping pace with Needlefang even though she was already starting to feel a bit tired. Seeing as she spent most of her time in camp with nothing to do but nap and eavesdrop, the omega lacked much stamina at all. It was nice, though. Having a task that required real effort made Rive feel like she was being useful. There was something about putting her all into something that made that something into an achievement to be proud of. Even as she opened her mouth to pant lightly, Rive did not slow down. It was too late for that. Some small fire had been lit inside of her. She wanted to test Needlefang's ideas against those long-held beliefs and prove for herself whether her size really did make her useless. This simple task of digging would not be enough to decide one way or another. Years of thinking a certain way were not so easily undone, but this was the first step.
"You can count on me."
That was the first time Rive had sounded self-confident in a very long time.

In a few leaps, all but one were limp and lifeless. Spotting the one who managed to escape, he quickly pounced on it, suffocating it by pushing his paws against its throat.

Snowstorm sat looking at the sky wondering how things were going with Velvetstar and Hawk. Since they weren’t back yet the warrior was sure Velvetstar was just making sure Hawk would make a good hunter for the pack. Maybe she was showing him the boarders. “They have been gone some time. It usually doesn’t take long to test a dogs ability to hunt or fight.” She whispered so only Spotted heard.

Dawnpaw paused, thinking. Chamomile was an interesting herb, and it's uses were further peculiar. They were nearly out,
but that was just because she rarely was sent to gather it. They didn't ever use it unless a dog died or apprentices were going to the moonstone. "Chamomile," Dawnpaw said slowly, choosing her words to try and make a good, understandable explanation, "Is used typically for dogs in grief. It strengthens the heart and soothes the mind, but is occasionally given for traveling, to make dogs stronger."

The uses came as a surprise to her, and she feigned off showing that expression on her face. "That's really interesting," Applefrost murmured genuinely. "Here and there did he teach me, but our father did most of the helping”. She smiled slightly. “I remember when we first hunted rabbits, but that’s when I noticed a change in him. We were down to the final rabbit when he jumped on it, but instead of killing it right away... he suffocated it.”
