Suggestion to have extra coders for more updates

Hi there!
I was reading and discussing something in a different thread and it made me think of adding this as a suggestion itself.

There are so many suggestions out there for this awesome site. Ones that could make it even easier and more awesome. Some are simple QOL updates, others may be a bit more extra but still helpful.
The problem is we don’t get many updates or suggestions implemented. Some of the more popular suggestions have been around for many years.
I think this is because Nick is the only site coder and updater? Which is a lot on one person who has their own life to attend to!

My suggestion is to in one way or another have other knowledgeable people to help implement reasonable suggestions and updates for the site.
This could be done in many ways. An application like they did for new artists for the site. Applications like they do for mods. Etc etc.

Support! I feel like updates are few and far between simply because life is busy and this site is super big for only one person to handle. I think it would be extremely helpful to hire more people to work on the site and implement all of the highly supported suggestions plus fix other little things around the site. It’s 2020 and CS turns 12 this year. That is amazing! But as the site gets older I feel like it falls behind the times a bit with a severe lack of just general updates to help the site run more smoothly. We all love this site and want to see it continue to grow and continue and I feel like that can only be done with more coders. The last two years I feel like less people have been active (we don’t hit the record anymore for most people online for dec 18) and I think a good deal of that is due to the lack of moving forward and bringing new life to the website. I don’t want to see this place die. I have been here for 10 years now. So please staff really consider this suggestion!

CS hasn't had any major site improvements, since i joined in '16?
some site suggestions have been around for years and have never been implemented

i see no downsides to this, besides security? but since Nick would still be in charge i see very little cause for concern

i support this too- to an extent.

while it's cool to have lots of new stuff and i enjoy the events, too much new stuff gets pretty boring and annoying? you get games like aj, howrse, and minecraft which all update quickly and / or have lots of events going on all the time,,, and it gets tiring.

it gets hard to keep up.

and in a game where demand is already crazy? if you bring in too much too quickly just imagine the chaos.
maybe it's new pets / items that are high-demand, or the new pets and items only "push" the high-demand pets further out of reach.

maybe im not making sense. i dont understand demand at the best of times and now im swapping back and forth between six tabs--

@quin I’m not suggesting any additions of more items or other things. That’s for artists and staff to decide.
Nor am I saying to become a quick update place with random events. This isn’t about pets or events either. ^^

I’m suggesting just the QOL suggestions. Examples of ones that are currently in this board:
The chance to have multiple wishlists separates. (Ie hoard wishlist and dreamie wishlist)
Bookmark folders.
Trade center folders.
Another mobile theme that isn’t bright eye killing green for us mobile only users.
Item search bar for when you remember the item you want but can’t find it.
Flipping items around like you can in scene dress ups but in your regular pet dress ups.
Displaying the unknown rarity bar along with the other rarity bars in groups.

All of these to me are pretty basic sounding but important updates that could be done if there were a couple coders under Nick’s direction. It certainly wouldn’t make the site boring. It would make it a LOT better and easier.

Dropping in with some support c: I'm sure there's a lot of people on CS who would love to give back a little and might be willing to volunteer a hand. CS is massive these days.
