hi everybody!
i'm excited to be back and to restart laurelclan. when i wrote for laurelclan before i did not pay much attention to having good character arcs and development, and i was unsure of what personalities i wanted for my cats. plus, i just had so many that it was hard to keep up with all their individual traits, quirks, relationships, etc. but i'm taking 5 cats and trying this whole thing again!
if you read laurelclan last year i can tell you that from now on you'll see a lot of bearstar and rowanfeather individual development, which i attempted in my last generation but i didn't always follow through. i'm putting sweetfeather into a more secondary character position, i think taking the spotlight away from him will signify the end of houndstar's era and the stress my new generation protags, ashface and frostpaw.
as a side note, unfortunately i'm retiring bearstar's... paternal tendencies. he has well over 80 offspring, and i think that his peak has come and gone. i've got 8 more of his lives to focus on his character, and it might also be better for other clans if the chance of inbreeded dropped a lil bit.
i have so many plans for laurelclan, and i'm eager to get started!
