Badgerstrike rested his head lightly on top of Lillysnaps. “It’s understandable, even I am worried. I shared something’s with Cindermist, but I trust him. You’ll just have to apologize to them later, once everything is calmed down we'll try to regain some semblance of normalcy. It will take a while, but I’m sure we’ll be on our feet again.” He said, moving his fluffy tail on top of hers. “Cindermist didn’t seem to mind the thought of change. If I become leader there are a few things that don’t seem right to me that I’ll be changing. Our pack is known for being kind but we don’t extend that kindness to all of our members, it doesn’t seem right to me. That’s all I’ll say for now, I’m sure I’ll loose everyone’s confidence if they knew. Tradition is taken very seriously so I’m sure I’d be fought on it.” He said with a soft sigh.

“Well then maybe we should go hunt or gather moss for beds. I don’t think being stuck in the camp is going to help anyone. I can sense a lot of tension. I just want to help the pack not sit around.” Daisypup said.

"Agreed. But I think we need a warrior with us?" He said tilting his head.

Lillysnap's fur tickled at Badgerstrike's touch and she felt more relaxed next to him than she had at all in the past couple of days.She grinned as he tail began to thump happily again. "Would you even want to be leader?" she asked nuzzling her head into his leg. "Obviously it his has its dangers," she pointed out, nodding her head to the freshly dug grave they sat in front of. Not a very scenic place but Lillysnap didn't mind seeing the dead body of her alpha anymore. Her body felt rather numb to the thought of Moosestar's death. She was probably in denial and it would all come crashing down later on. Of course she couldn't help but wonder what kind of changes Badgerstrike talked about. Moosestar had been very rigid about tradition. That crumbled quickly as soon as the pack found out he was dead.

Badgerstrike nodded at her. “If enough of the pack wishes for me to be leader than I’d accept. I have my doubts in myself but I won’t let anyone else hear them. It’s important for leaders to stand strong, I feel I could do that. If I do become leader I’ll talk to the other packs leaders, maybe they’ll be able to give me some advice at the gathering.” He said before finishing burying Moosestar. “We should get back to the meeting, we still need to decide on who the leader will be.”

"I suppose," she sighed, not pleased to be going back to camp so soon. Lillysnap would be happy to run around the forest catching rabbits with Badgerstrike all day. He was right though. The pack would crumble if left to their own vices. She got to her paws and let her tongue loll with a small grin. "If the whole alpha thing comes to a vote, I'll vote for you," she said with a wink before giggling at her own attempt at being suave. Her tail lashed as Badgerstrike finished burying Moosestar. With Badgerstrike as leader, there could be some good changes made in the pack that made Lillysnap eager for the future.

“True. But most of the warriors are out doing things.” Daisypup said, trying to think who would have time to take them out to gather moss. She figured she may as well try to find a lot. The pups and Fallensnow needed to stay comfortable. Daisypup decided her bed didn’t need moss just yet. It was still comfortable.

Badgerstrike smiled at her with a soft chuckle before heading back into the camp to see the meeting still going on, most if not all of the pack gathered to discuss the serious matter of who would lead them. Not wanting to over step, he cleared his throat before stepping forward a bit. “With Moosestar’s body returned to the earth, we should continue with the meeting. Everyone should have a say in voting for the next leader.” He said before sitting back down.
