Shade [♂]-------------------Sabrina [♀]
Everything was simple and calm, nothing to worry about. That is nothing to worry about until
she came. It was a dark and rainy that night, the hotel I worked at was pretty quiet at the time unlike the usual rush to the rooms. I remember that I had almost fallen asleep when she entered the doors. I quickly sat up and pretended like I had never even heard of the word sleep.
She was soaked from the downpoor outside but even though her looks were messed up from the storm she still was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. "
Falling asleep on the job?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
I rememeber thinking that I must have been a terriable actor and could feel a blush forming on my face, she laughed. Her laugh was the most beautiful thing that I had ever heard, now that I look back at this I know that I should have seen the signs. She was unnatuarlly perfect and beautiful, she knew that I had almost fallen asleep, I would almost loose my life because of her tricks. Almost.
I didnt see her again for awhile after I gave her the room key, her room was number 233. I can remember all of these little details because as it turns out the more we try to forget something the more we remember it. Four days after I gave her the key was the next time I saw her, I was on break and wondering down the halls when I saw her getting a soda out of the pop machine.
I walked over, even though I didnt have a mirror I knew that I had one of those stupid large grins on my face. "
Hi, you're Sabrina right?" I asked, I still remembered her name from four days earilier, it's hard to forget someone so beautiful.
She jumped and her head whipped around to look at me. There was a sigh of relief from her and like all the other things about her it was unnaturally beautiful. "
Yeah, hey I remember you. You're the one who gave me my room key... It's Shade right?" She asked me.
I stared at her in suprise,
"How do you know my name? I never told it to you..." I saw her smile faulter and she took awhile to respond. I should have known that whatever came out of her mouth next was going to be a lie, but I didnt want to believe that she would lie to me. So I denied it and decided that she was just suprised that she had remebered my name as I was.
She brushed back a piece of her red hair from her eyes and her smile returned to normal, "
You had a name tag on." She replied. No, I actually didnt have a name tag when she came in, it was only then did I get suspicous about her. But not enought that I didnt try to deny it to myself again.
My own smile faultered, no matter how hard I tried I couldnt deny that something was... Off, unnatural about the whole thing. That's when I heard a faint scratching sound coming from her room, number 233. Did you know that we had to burn everything in that room before someone stayed in it again? Nevermind, that's much later.
