During Aralynn's mention of him, he figured the proper thing to do would be to bow. " A pleasure to meet you, Ms. Kurenai" he figured it was proper to use her last name as opposed to the first name he used with Aralynn. This was his first time meeting the heiress, and while she was a rather cute and dainty little thing, he much preferred the looks of Aralynn.
However, he didn't have much time to ponder that fact, as the man next to the princess introduced himself. So he was the person he thought he was.... though he wasn't sure if it would be a good idea to let Aralynn know or not. At the mention of Lucas's last name, however, he felt a surge of rage build up inside him...but why? Wait...no, it was coming from Adrian? Why? He'd always been a bit wary of Lucas, but....he'd never expressed such rage like he was right now. Momentarily Al closed his eyes, taking a deep breath in attempt to sooth Adrian's anger. Additionally, one of his feet shifted to behind his other foot, a habit Adrian had whenever he tried to suppress his irritability or anger- a habit Adrian had even when he had his own form.
Noting Lucas was trying to send him some sort of message, he gave him a brief nod of acknowledgement. We'll talk later... he thought, knowing fully well neither of them had any sort of telepathic abilities- therefore he hoped his short nod was enough of an answer for the time being.
To his surprise, and slight worry, the princess's question caught him quite offguard- betrothed?! There was nothing of the sort going on between him and Aralynn- it was simply a mutually-beneficial partnership....right?

She frowned at her sister, doing her best to be friendly despite her irritability. " No worries about the evening meal. I must say, it was quite bewildering when the guards couldn't find you anywhere on palace grounds. We were all quite concerned, but I suppose what you do in your spare time is your business." she spoke, leaving out the fact she knew the doors to her chambers had been locked, and despite that, nobody was inside.
When her sister introduced her to Al, she gave a short smile and curtsied briefly, but didn't hold it as long as she probably should have- especially if Aralynn truly was betrothed to the man next to her. She remained silent, however, as Lucas spoke. Hopefully Aralynn would like him- considering they would likely be working with him quite a bit, him being the general of Runemeth and all.
However, she couldn't help but notice something was off between the demeanor of both Lucas and the man known as Al. Lucas's gaze kept wandering to Al, and Al's to Lucas, but.....Al also seemed somewhat tense? Maybe he was just nervous about meeting her? No....something was definitely off. Maybe the two knew each other, and weren't on good terms? Aside from that, however, the tone Aralynn used when asking Lucas who he was made her nervous.
Nonetheless, she had one question for Aralynn that she couldn't leave without knowing- even if it may have been none of her business as of yet, this was her sister, and she refused to see her marry anyone who wasn't worthy of her. " Aralynn, please forgive my intrusion on your personal matters.....but is....is this man your betrothed?" she questioned, a troubled look on her face.

( I don't typically like referencing twighlight, but having pain/parchness due to extreme hunger is understandable.)
The snort is what gave her away- if she had truly been unconscious, she wouldn't have snorted at his words. Therefore, he was prepared when she jumped up, leaping backwards in a heartbeat. " Well then, let's dance." he spoke, lunging at her with one knife going straight for her heart, the other coming around from the side, angle to go up between two ribs to reach the heart.
