While they walked Lucas listened to the blonde female letting out a chuckle, "Oh I wouldn't say the wrong person but perhaps one that makes things more interesting. If that is the case then at the very least we can get lost together. Better lost with pleassurable company then alone." The grounds were beautiful. As expected the land surrounding the home of the Emberelic Royals was quite something. Vast and very well maintained. The aray of plants and fragrances was equally as impressive. "Why not start at the nearest location and go from there?", suggested the dark haired male.

At some point he had lost track of time, lost in thought and reflection. When he finally snapped out of it, the sun was setting. " It....appears that I have left Ms. Aralynn alone all day....how foolish. What if someone attempted to hurt her?" he spoke half-heartedly to himself, his voice frail and lacking in confidence. So he made his way back to the castle, standing outside Aralynn's room after having made his way inside the castle. If she was resting, he would not bother her. He would wait until she found him standing there, and he would leave at her request.

" Yes, you have a fair point there. To be lost alone would be quite unpleasant....and that's actually a good idea. Very well then. The grotto is the closest if I remember correctly, then the bridge over the river will lead to the fountain." and with that, the princess led Lucas around the castle's grounds as best she could. First was the grotto, a grassy clearing with stone benches surrounded by an array of fruit trees, such as apple trees, orange trees, and the like. Some ferns also surrounded the small clearing. " You should come back in the spring to see this area. All the trees have flowers in the spring, so it's quite lovely." along their journey from place to place, she spoke to Lucas of some of the flora in the garden, some of which had been gifts from neighboring kingdoms. Though, of course, this was accompanied by the occasional moments of being lost within the garden, and having to backtrack a bit to find their way. Soon enough they reached their next spot, the bridge across the river. The river itself contained crystal-clear water, and an array of small fish could be seen swimming within it, along with some small aquatic plants. The bridge was a dark wood, with wrought-iron railing. After that was their last stop, the fountain, which they arrived at sometime around sunset. It was located near the center of the garden, with multiple pathways leading up to it. The fountain itself was quite large, and had a ledge upon which one could sit. The sculpture in the center of the fountain was angel, intricately detailed, reaching up to the sky with one hand. The other hand rested down towards the base. The water spewed out from the base of the angel, and from a spot at the top of the sculpture. With a smile the princess sat down on the edge of the fountain, having enjoyed their little journey around the garden. " Well? Did you enjoy the garden? I'm sorry I couldn't show you some of the other areas, but it is getting close to dark anyways."

As the day grew long, he continued to sell flowers with a smile on his face, seemingly innocent an carefree. That was, until an hour before sunset- that's when he shut down shop and pushed the cart the rest of the way home. Once there, he rushed to get into his gear- a high-necked sweater, pants, and shoes he could easily run in. Then he strapped on a light-weight belt, adorned with a few of his 'decorative knives'- knives that were specifcaly made for hunting the undead. Additionally, he strapped a few wooden stakes to his thigh, and a crucifix around his neck- from what he'd experienced, holy-water and crucifixes didn't actually work, but it still comforted him to have them on him. Last but not least, he threw on a coat of sorts to hide his weapons from the eyes of normal passer-bys, seeing as the sun wasn't completely down yet....
and with that, his night began, as he hunted for his first undead-target of the night.

The dark haired vampire huffed as she looked up at the slightly taller vampire male, nodding. "Yes, apologize to her...Why would she attack you? Ohhhh, because you shoved me into a wall..." she said dryly, shaking her head. She hummed, then shrugged at him when he said he imagined himself going in a fight...not by a dog. She hummed again, then glanced to her beautiful Afghan hound, thinking of the Saluki and the other male dog again...Shaking her head, she nodded to Fallon then tilted her head. "You'll...craft her a collar?" she asked, head tilting a moment. She nodded to him again, then glanced down at her feet... "You're...my best friend...You're funny, and sweet, and kind, and...and good look...ing..." she said, an odd pause there.

The golden brown haired girl blinked browish reddish eyes, shaking out her long, straight hair then sighing. Long hair was nice and all, but it got in the way sometimes...And she had to tie it back or up to do certain...things. Except showers, because she had to wash her hair as well, but the length made doing so a bit irritating, and it was time consuming. She hummed quietly as she began to walk the vampire town, glancing around a few times then shaking her head gently. She thought about telling her parents where she was going, but then...they’d stop her. Snorting, she continued her walk, reaching the edge of her town. She continued to hum until she stepped over, then silenced herself.

Aralynn l human l Location-Emberelic, queen's rooms l tagged-Alejandro/Adrian
Aralynn sighed making her way through the palace halls towards her chambers. Outside the sun was now starting to set, painting the sky an aray of vibrant colors to signal the end of the day and coming of night. As well as the curfew she had imposed which was a topic of discussion with the council. Much like how the recent deaths was a common topic among the common people she spoke with. Of course the queen did her best to offer gentle condolances and sweet offerings to distract her citizens.....but the ancient council members were not so easily appeased or distracted. The wrinkled battle-scared and time-tested old nobles were much more difficult. Handling them was never a skill Aralynn had bothered spending much time on. The teen couldn't stand them, only being in a room with them for hours out of her unshakable sense of duty. Not by choice or love of debate.it wasn't long until Aralynn was near her room though and noticed who looked to be a unarmored gaurd standing by her doors. Though upon more careful watch of the visitor to her chambers the young queen's breath hitched. Her heartbeat quickening against her chest at the sight of dark hair. Pausing Aralynn lifted a hand to her chest while it formed into a tight white knuckled fist resting there. The teen couldn't tell from her current distance who was in charge but, going off her instinctual reaction alone, it was probably Al. This thought brought unwelcomed excitment flooding through the young human queen who started taking a step forward, only to stop. Everything in her was yelling to run to the vampire and bury her face snuggling into his clothes....but memory kept her rooted in place.

No. Her emotions and temper weren't......stable around Al for whatever reason that may have been. She was much too emotionally unstable and easily wound up around the male vampire. If her instinct was right about Al being the soul in control then it was too risky to be around him. Her un lady-like temper was more then likely to flare up again and her own soul rebelled against doing or saying anything more to hurt him. If avoiding him was the only way to help the vampire then so be it. Even if her soul rebelled against that too. Slowly Aralynn started backing up back the way she had come planning to go to the library instead of her chambers.

The walk around the castle grounds was a lot nicer and more pleasant then Lucas had initially thought it would be. Everything very well maintained and loved thanks to the practiced gardening staff no doubt. The young princess heir much more pleasant company then he had expected too. Akira was kind, genuine and humble for a young women of her stature. Especially compared to other women of her kind whom Luas had met in the past, those women were so full of themselves it was more then disgusting. Not to mention she was quite a little beauty herself as far as the physical went. Yup. Akira was definitely easy on the eyes, to the point where the dark haired male found himself watching her somewhat more then the painting worthy scenery he was being lead around. A soft fond smile pulled at the young man's lips as he walked beside the young human female listening and hanging on her every word. Not a word left him as he let her do all the talking.

As the sun started to set over the palace and town below it, the pair came to what was probably going to be their last stop of the tour. "Yes. I thank you for the tour princess, you really did not have to but it is appreciated. And you were an excellent guide as well despite your limited knowledge of most of the grounds.", Lucas complimented as he followed the young teen towards the fountain, "I do believe it is enough that I shall be able to travel around the without worry on my own now. And think I will also take your offer up on returning when your orchards are in early season. I happen to quite enjoy fruit blooms myself."

Though it was brief, as she quickly seemed to turn back around the direction she'd came. He frowned, until a soul-crushing possibility hit him- was she scared of him? avoiding him? Did he frighten her to the point she couldn't stand to see him? Even he had to admit he may have taken things a bit too far, so he'd come back to apologize...." Mrs. Aralynn, please, wat!i-" he called out to her, even though she continued to walk away. Therefore, worriedly, he used his vampiric agility to catch up with her, gently placing a hand on her shoulder. "Mrs. Aralynn, I....wanted to...just...say i'm... so-." he started to apologize, up until something else crossed his mind: if he had been shutting himself away, who had been in control? " What....did Adrian tell you." he spoke in a relatively neutral, if slightly worried tone.

" Really, the tour was no problem. There's not much for me or my brother to do on days like today- besides simply staying out of trouble, I suppose. Besides, I enjoyed the company. " with that she stood up again, the briefest of childish skip in her steps until she was standing next to him. " Though....maybe sometime you could give me a tour of your castle's garden, assuming it has one. I myself have never been to Runemeth, but I've heard some of the towns there are absolutely beautiful." she spoke, frowning at the setting sun. She had rather enjoyed spending the day with Lucas, and was actually a bit. " Now, you said earlier that you were here to introduce yourself to my sister and her council, yes? Today Aralynn was mostly meeting with the citizens, but I believe she is having a lengthy meeting with her council come morning. Therefore, I could show you to a guest room if you would like. I'm sure it'd be much comfier, and frankly quite safer, than any of the nearby inns. Besides, we very well couldn't have you travelling at this hour with recent events, especially with the curfew. It wouldn't look well on us if the Runemeth general went missing while under our care." she spoke, adding in the last part to cover up her slight interest in spending a bit more time with him.

Silently creeping along the outskirts of town, the male kept a close eye on anyone he saw. It was close enough to dark for the vamps to be out- speaking of which, there was one now. A female one, with golden-brown hair. She looked to be an innocent little angel, in his opinion, up until one learned she was a vampire. Then it appeared to simply be a facade- something used to lure in prey. Grabbing one of the stakes attatched to his thigh, he stalked the vampire woman, debating whether to go in for the suprise factor, or use himself as bait. Normally he could tell which route would be best to take, but it was hard to tell with this one.

The golden brown haired girl felt the burning of thirst in her throat, hunger starting to tighten her belly as it gave tiny growls yet...She was thankful it was making loud noises, because even a human would be able to pick up on that. Shaking her head, she walked along, hair bouncing slightly behind her from her brisk stride. She continued to hum, trying to focus on that rather than her need for nutrients. Her lips twitched slightly, wanting to reveal fangs as she thought of things. She had no idea a human man was following her...

After some consideration, he determined the sneak-attack was the best route to choose. The vampiress seemed oblivious to the fact she was being followed- plus he was downwind, so that likely helped. As long as the wind didn't shift on him, he assumed he would be ok. However, at last minute, he switched to one of the decorative knives. As much as he hated vampires, she was still attractive in terms of looks- therefore, he decided her beautiful, immortal, violent existence should be ended by something equally beautiful and deadly. Taking a deep breath, he braced himself before charging at the vampiress, aiming for her heart through the back.

The golden brown haired girl still had no idea a human was following her, and perhaps that was good. She probably would have pounced, and been attacked straight away...As it were, she continued to trot along briskly, hair fluttering slightly almost like a veil or some such. She continued to hum, quieter now as she’d be nearing the human town soon, eyes glittering and flashing in the dark. She also obviously couldn’t know the stranger thought her attractive, but surely would blush if she did know. Shaking her head as she scolded herself for not having gotten a snack of blood bag first, she trotted on. She squeaked when a gorgeous ginger tabby and high white kitty appeared in her tracks, admiring him. He began to hiss, looking around her leg, and she turned quickly...coming face to face with the hunter.

Raphael made his way through the crowded streets of ember, keeping his head low as he slinked around the marketplace, searching for something that would catch his interest. He had an expressionless face, as he glanced around somewhat nervously. He’d recently come into contact with quite the feisty human, and had barely made it out alive. A long cut along his forearm was proof he’d lived to tell the tale, although he was sure it would heal soon enough. Still, though, he was wary as he walked through Ember, and perhaps even afraid, although he would never admit such a thing. He placed a hand on his stomach, which felt quite empty at the moment, and cursed under his breath. If only it were nightfall.. and each one of these humans would be helpless against him slinking around in the shadows.
