Cloudfoot stared back toward the Moonpool as he walked toward the west side of the territory. He hesitated for a moment, before letting out a troubled sigh, "I don't know, Flamerunner," the deputy meowed, "If StarClan has abandoned us, then we wouldn't need a Moonpool anymore, but at the same time the Moonpool was our only source of water... " He began to growl. These are the thoughts that troubled him. The future was so uncertain that he didn't know what to do anymore. "I don't know if living here is feasible anymore, but the coming leaf-bare scares me. Either way, we might not survive, so what do you do when the odds are against you?" he asked, gazing up at the cloudy sky. He swallowed the lump that had formed in his throat before looking back at the ginger tom again, "You're a young warrior, Flamerunner," he meowed, "What do you think we should do?"

tom ~ apprentice ~ 6m ~ tags: acornpaw (ravensight mentioned)
Pinepaw wrestled with his sister until the two littermates found themselves in the clearing outside of the den. Realizing that they were out in the open where anyone, including their mentors, could see them, he felt Acornpaw's weight lift from his body as she broke the play-fight. Pinepaw, still laying on the ground, slowly heaved up to his paws, his legs aching from the tussle. He shook the grass from his fur and smoothed it down. The young apprentice hoped Ravensight didn't see that either. The last thing he wanted in his tired state was to be scolded by the fierce she-cat. Watching Acornpaw walk off in search of her mentor, Pinepaw sat in the clearing, growling to himself. Now he really wouldn't be able to fall back asleep.
