The male smiled, his grip briefly tightening on Aralynn before he released her, moving back over to the wall. "hm...well well....where should we begin?" he paused for thought before snapping his fingers. " Ah, I know! But first...." the male grabbed Aralynn's arm before sinking the both of them into the shadows and resurfacing in an old building somewhere on the outskirts of the kingdom. " There we go, we shouldn't be disturbed her. " he spoke as he sat down in a chair. "Now, where were we? Ah, yes, Al. I can't say too much about his life prior to me turning him, but I can tell you about that moment, and moments afterwards. It all began one night- Al was out for a walk around town it seemed, escorting a pretty little morsel. If I hadn't been in need of a suitable host at the time, she would've made for a great snack. However, as I said, I needed a host- and Al had been a perfect candidate. Good in looks, and strong enough to withstand the process- not just anyone can survive allowing another soul to inhabit their body. In most cases, the weaker soul is ejected and moves on to the afterlife. But I wanted someone who could survive, to act as a mask for me, if you will. So i attacked, infecting him with the venom needed to turn a human and feeding him my blood before I myself lost consciousness due to the merge. I'm not sure how much time passed between then and when we woke up in the hospital, but the hospital is where he finally regained consciousness. At that time, I was too weak to take control or say anything- I needed blood to regain my strength, but I couldn't get it until Al stopped resisting. From the moment he woke up in the hospital he was forever changed, but it took a few days until the craving started. I must say, he was quite resilient and strong of mind, but one should never underestimate the instincts of a starving vampire. So when he snapped, it was quite the display- especially since he had to feed enough for the both of us. Needless to say, he was quite bloody when he awoke- and quite horrified. Lucky for him, I had the strength by that point to talk- so I helped him adjust. It was some time before he actually spoke back to me, but he did listen- though of course, at first he thought he was purely going insane. Then came the point where he tried to approach that pretty little morsel I mentioned earlier- to see how she was doing after the incident, once he found out where she had disappeared too. So he traveled there, to see her- and she utterly rejected him. Told him he shouldn't of lived- a demon had attacked him, and there had been too much blood for him to of survived. Yelled at him. Screamed when he tried to tell her different- even tried stabbing him herself- which of course he lived through. Then she ran- disappeared forever- and he snapped. His mind simply broke- the poor thing had been head-over-heels for that vixen. Crazed, and starving after the bloodloss caused by the stab wound-, he ventured to the town he was raised in. Along the journey he attacked countless people, and attacked more in his hometown. He couldn't cope with what he'd become, instead just allowing the bloodlust in a vampire's nature to control him. ....one night, during a brief time of sanity, he visited his family, hoping for some sort of forgiveness or comfort. Now note, his clothing had been long stained with the blood of his victims. Terrified but trying to keep themselves safe, his family took him in- let him stay there, even when he came back with blood on his face. He didn't even notice when furniture and decorations began disappearing from their home- all their important belongings , until the fire. Eventually his family turned on him, assuming he'd been possessed by some great evil, and lit the house on fire. When he ran out the front door, he found a mob awaiting him- the whole town, including his family, waiting for him with pitchforks and torches. Any kind of weaponry you could imagine. Surely you've heard the fairytale " The demon of Argentum"? The story takes place in what is now known as Angel's hollow. They renamed the town in hopes the angels would protect them and keep out the demons. But the point is, it isn't a fairytail at all. The town has long since forgotten that it was real, instead using it as a story to keep their children from misbehaving- but what happened in the tale is true- and Al was the so-called 'demon'. The end of that story was the first time I took control- in order to get us out of their. From their I remained in control until Al was finally able to regain his sanity- and I kept him in check from there. I didn't need another situation like the one in Argentum. Not to say we didn't have our fun- there are several other fairytales revolving around us-as Al never entirely regained his sanity, not for a good century or so., we had quite the time. He played the sweet romantic, drawing the prey in, and I would strike. Partners in crime so to speak. That was, up until he fell for a new little morsel- a pretty little redhead named Selena. She won his heart over with the simple flutter of her eyelashes. I could've stopped it before it even began- but he had to learn sooner or later. He never attended the funeral of any of his ex-friends or family, so he had to learn that mortals would leave in what would be to him the blink of an eye. So I let him befriend that redhead, and mingle with the humans of that town. It was all fun and games at first- he kept his monstrous side from them, acting as human as could be. All good things come to an end however, and eventually those humans began to age while he stayed forever young. So he went to leave town one night, only to be stopped by Selena. She had actually been smart enough to put two and two together- and she wanted him to stay anyways. She had come to meet him alone, but she had told the rest of their little group. So he stayed around- but Selena never returned his feelings. She fell for another man, and when they got engaged, Al left. He would visit from time to time, and they would catch up in secret. Eventually she had children, and as they aged so did Selena. It killed him inside the entire time, watching as she lived her life and aged, eventually leaving him behind when she perished. Yet he stilled cared for her, as much as she angered him. The normal life she had lived was something he could never have, and it finally had occured to him when she perished. He would forever stay young and alive, while those around him would wither. So I led him to my old kingdom, where he could be around his own kind. The idiot still couldn't stay away from the humans though- but he would always leave before they got too close. ' Never get too attatched' became his motto. On the other side of his duality, however, he didn't deny himself the hunt, ridding lands of those who took life for granted. Those people brought out the worst in him- the darkness he had thought he had long left behind. He asked them if they wouldn't let anything tear their friendship apart, and if they said they wouldn't...well, you get the idea." with that he returned them back to the castle, the same spot they had left from. " Now see, Al isn't as sweet as he seems, is he?" he mused.

There's no possible way for Aralynn to be betrothed! She's never even shown an interest in alliances through marriage! I distinctly remember a time she downright objected a potential suitor! " the female sat down on a nearby bench. " There...there hasn't even been any discussion of anything of the sort....and besides, we used to tell eachother everything! Surely she would have told me...right?" she spoke with a bewildered look, not really expecting an answer.

If that was all then Al should have told me himself.....oh wait!", the teen replied with a sigh feeling her body tense just like any prey before a predator. How did she ever want to let that particular comment sit and stew in the vampire's brain for a time. Unfortunetly, thanks to the topic of interest and Adrian's words, that was an impposibility. "I would remind you that the only reason I haven't tried striking you for dragging me through that dark cold realm is because I would also be effectivly doing the same to Al. That so-called poor thing according to you is what holds my affection, not you. You are doing naught but benefitting from it while inhabiting his body.", taking a breath before going on not fully realizing her words. Trying to get her unseemly temperment under control before she drew unwanted attention, "Thirdly and finally before I come to my senses......I....I wanted....to thank you Adrian."

But the signs are there. I would say Her Majesty's actions and behavior as you have described is quite common in women who have experienced the gaze of or being in the arms of someone they love. She is at the prime age to marry and start a household is she not? Just as you are. Taking that into account does it sound strange as a possibility anymore?"

Adrian grimaced at Aralynn, his eyes flaring a deep and angry crimson. " Prince? You think I was merely a prince!? I was a King! " he hissed. " I was a king sweetheart, and most of my people loved me. Not all vampires want to be peaceful, you know. The instincts to hunt and feed are much stronger than you can understand. " he then let her talk again, the scowl remaining on his face. " So the ice queen finally opened her heart to someone, hm? And to him of all people, is a foolish choice. Did you not get my point? The man doesn't even know what he wants! On one hand he wants to turn you to keep you around, and on the other he wants you to stay human. Then, somewhere deep in the depths of his mind, he wants to drain your body of all the blood it possibly has to offer. One way or another he will be the death of you. Not that I care, really- your likely not getting out of this alive anyways- but I can't have him snapping or you dying just yet. You two are key players in this." though his face shifted into an expression of complete confusion when she thanked him. " Thank me? You really must be out of your mind- is the bloodloss getting to your head? You realize I could end your life or turn you in a matter of seconds, right?"

Countless civilians have been lost to whatever is plaguing the streets of our kingdom, and her focus has been on that. Of all the times to have fallen for someone or to trust outsiders...." gazing down at the ground, she sat silently in thought for a few minutes. " I myself have no interest in starting a family. Not that me or my brother ever really get out to meet much of anyone to begin with......but as I said, Aralynn hasn't even shown an interest in any of that either....." she clenched her fist, closing her eyes for a few more moments of silence. What he was saying did make some sense.....and it did sound like a possibility....but...." But....why...why didn't she tell me?" she spoke as she looked up at him, the slightest hints of tears lining the lower lashes of her eyes.

Out in the town stood a flower cart, one that traveled around the town. Behind it stood a red-haired male, a childish grin on his face. However, the joy didn't carry over to his eyes, for they spoke of distrust. They weren't hard to spot, those vampires, if one knew what to look for. In fact, they were rather obvious. The way they looked at people- it was almost with disgust, or the way a predator gazes at its prey, slowly circling closer and closer until they strike. He missed the days where he didn't know about vampires- those days were so carefree, innocent even. Peaceful. Yet now he sold flowers with fake enthusiasm, wondering if each night he hunted the undead, if it was going to be the last sunset he would ever see.

The dark haired vampire continued to glare at him for that moment, which definitely must have looked like a fight was about to break out. She shook her head when he closed his eyes and released a breath, then let her go. She huffed a bit, pretending to dust herself off. She shook her head a second time, then sighed and nodded at him. She sighed when he seemed to not reciprocate the feelings though...Oh...so I'm just a friend... Hearing him continue talking, she snorted and held back a laugh. Henrietta was still ignoring him... "Erm...you better apologize to Henrietta, or something. Give her a treat, I don't know." she said.

Koon yipped as he trotted through the farm/ranch house, tail flicking gently. The small collie type, aka a Shetland sheepdog mix, squeaked when mom’s cat rushed from under the table, chasing something. It was probably a bug, or a bit of dust, and Koon snorted at said cat. He trotted up to Jamie’s room, licking their hand and nudging them until they made a small sound. They sat up, brushing through their mussed hair, and huffed quietly. They got up, got dressed, ate a breakfast bar, brushed their teeth, then headed out.

The vampire shook out her long golden brown hair, blinking brownish red eyes. She hummed as she walked about her house, glancing to the photo of Morris, the cat she’d once owned. She smiled as she reached up to touch it, then her eyes drifted to her shoulder, covered by a blouse, where the tattoo image of him rested. She smiled as she imagined the big black and white cat running, then suddenly stopping to drop to the floor and nap.
(this is going to be interesting . they have to meet at night, maybe he could hunt her)

He sighed as he got out of bed and glanced around, humming to himself a moment then shaking his head. He stepped to his bedroom mirror and stared at his reflection, then snorted and turned away from it. He hummed again as he grabbed some clean clothes, heading to the bathroom in his room, which also had a mirror. He continued to hum as he closed the door, set his clothes on the rack with a towel, and turned on the shower. He continued to hum as he waited for the water to heat up. He stepped into the shower, washing and turning the shower off. He dried and dressed, then looked at himself in the mirror. Shrugging, he left the bathroom to brush his hair.
The dark haired vampire continued to glare at him for that moment, which definitely must have looked like a fight was about to break out. She shook her head when he closed his eyes and released a breath, then let her go. She huffed a bit, pretending to dust herself off. She shook her head a second time, then sighed and nodded at him. She sighed when he seemed to not reciprocate the feelings though...Oh...so I'm just a friend... Hearing him continue talking, she snorted and held back a laugh. Henrietta was still ignoring him... "Erm...you better apologize to Henrietta, or something. Give her a treat, I don't know." she said.

Koon yipped as he trotted through the farm/ranch house, tail flicking gently. The small collie type, aka a Shetland sheepdog mix, squeaked when mom’s cat rushed from under the table, chasing something. It was probably a bug, or a bit of dust, and Koon snorted at said cat. He trotted up to Jamie’s room, licking their hand and nudging them until they made a small sound. They sat up, brushing through their mussed hair, and huffed quietly. They got up, got dressed, ate a breakfast bar, brushed their teeth, then headed out.

The vampire shook out her long golden brown hair, blinking brownish red eyes. She hummed as she walked about her house, glancing to the photo of Morris, the cat she’d once owned. She smiled as she reached up to touch it, then her eyes drifted to her shoulder, covered by a blouse, where the tattoo image of him rested. She smiled as she imagined the big black and white cat running, then suddenly stopping to drop to the floor and nap.
(this is going to be interesting . they have to meet at night, maybe he could hunt her)

Aralynn l human l location-Emberelic l tagged-Alejandro/Adrian
Aralynn was hesitating. Not that she meant to but letting slip what she had planned to say would only be detrimental if she thought about it. It would only serve to increase Adrian superiority and give him cause to call her a fool again. Plus not to mention it was just settling in what she had said about her feelings towards the other soul he shared room with. A hand curled into a fist at that particular thought. No. There was no way the way Adrian understood her words were actually what she had meant. It might have sounded like that, but what Aralynn meant was she cared for Al. Though that thought didn't help and actually made her flinch thinking back to the story. Aralynn had been trying to prove she was different, yet had acted no different then Selena and that first women had towards him. Minus the stabbing of course. (A thought that simultaneously brought bile and rage up which had to quickly be quelled. Al just.....GOT to her!) But the queen didn't love the dark haired vampire who'd been keeping her company.
The blonde human didn't love the vampire who stayed with her after drinking her blood weakened her.
The teen didn't love the man who'd serenaded her putting on a show for her, before literally sweeping her off her feet stealing her into the night.
She didn't love her new found dance partner.
She didn't love the man that she felt so at ease around that she couldn't help but be...well...herself!
Aralynn's hand clenched into a tight shaking fist held in front of her chest. Her voice cracked when she spoke, "For keeping Al's soul alive. I know you are doing it for the selfish betterment of yourself as the villian and it makes no sense to be thanking you for this, but still." And with that the queen dipped into a quick low, yet sincere, curtsey to Adrian.

"Appologize....to your pet?", asked Fallon quirking an eyebrow curiously at Konan, "All I did was ask that you keep her from ripping my throat out. A dog is not how I have thought of my end being if it must come. Rather it be in a good fight against a worthy opponant." The brute glanced down at the lovely canine accompanying them watching Henriette for a moment. Looking back up at his friend, "But if that is your request then fine. I'll craft her a collar every other female dog in Runemeth will be barking with jealousy over.....and perhaps a treat." The last bit was thrown in more so his words wouldn't seem to be a joke or sarcasm. "But nkw answer this for me Kon. Why do you like me?"

Walking over towards the young female heir, Lucas knelt before her just like before when she had introduced herself. Only this time it was to raise a gentle hand to her face. Side of the dark haired young man's finger being used to catch the welling tears in Akira's eyes before they fell. "Now now. Red puffy cheeks and eyes are hardly attractive on any young women of nobility, nevermind a princess Akira. It will mar your natural sweetness and charms. And you will make me feel guilty.", said Lucas with a small comforting smile up at her. The Runemeth General offered Akira a hand.

For once, the male lacked any snarky comebacks. This was a rather...peculiar situation, and he had no clue how on earth he was supposed to react to that. Therefore, it took him so uncomfortable moments of silence before he spoke again. " Not much of a soul as broken has he is, eh love? and is that hesistance I see? Denial?" he spoke with a light chuckle. " Well then. This should be plenty enough to keep things interesting for a while, yes? With that, you should get back to your queenly duties sweetheart. Maybe Al will visit once he's had some downtime." and with that he dissapeared into the shadows, exiting the castle altogether for the time being.

The dark haired vampire huffed as she looked up at the slightly taller vampire male, nodding. "Yes, apologize to her...Why would she attack you? Ohhhh, because you shoved me into a wall..." she said dryly, shaking her head. She hummed, then shrugged at him when he said he imagined himself going in a fight...not by a dog. She hummed again, then glanced to her beautiful Afghan hound, thinking of the Saluki and the other male dog again...Shaking her head, she nodded to Fallon then tilted her head. "You'll...craft her a collar?" she asked, head tilting a moment. She nodded to him again, then glanced down at her feet... "You're...my best friend...You're funny, and sweet, and kind, and...and good look...ing..." she said, an odd pause there.

Aralynn l human l location-Emberelic, throne room l tagged-her people coming to speak with her
The remainder of her walk through the palace halls to the throne room was quiet and uneventfull. Only the teen's steps echoing against the floor heard theough the long hallways. Every so often she would pass a staff member who'd get out of her way and bow or curtsey with a hurried low "Welcome back Your Highness" or "Good morning My Queen." Aralynn ignored them going by as if they were invisable to her. She didn't care. Normally Aralynn would return some kind of gesture such as a nod or wave, but not today.....not after what just happened. The blonde was in no mood. All the queen wanted was this day over already and to curl up in her bed for well deserved rest.
Having reached her destination finally, two fully armored men snapped to attention upon her arrival and pulled open the massive double wooden doors. Aralynn walked passed them into the cavernous room up to the chair at it's forefront which she useually regularly occupied. Beside her sat a matching throne only this one was cold and bare also per useual. Nobody had occupied that particular seat since her father. The teen kept her gaze away from it to stare right down the hall towards the doors she had just walked through. "Let Audiance Day officially commence! Send in the first person!", she commanded the gaurds raising her voice.
Aralynn is open now if anybody need someone to interact with/wants their character to be at the castle they can.

I don't want to get lost on your palace's vast geounds, nor would I feel right about leaving you be in such troubled times."

At a nearby inn, the male sat atop a simple bed- nothing luxurious, but it would do.....but then again, maybe not. Looking around the room again, he quickly shut his eyes, placing his head in his hands as he tried to calm himself. The room reminded him too much of his home....all those years ago.....as long ago as it was, he could still hear the fire crackling....feel its heat. See the townsfolk surrounding what he'd once called home, along with his family, and carrying torches and pitchforks and the like.
Next thing he knew, he had ran out of the room, and out of the building entirely. He didn't stop running till he'd reached the woods, where he slowed to a walk until he found a pond of sorts. There he sat down to catch his breath, splashing water on his face to calm his nerves. He then leaned against a tree, lost in thought. What was his hometown even called these days? Was it still called Argentum, or had they changed the name since he had been there? He hadn't been there since the incident....didn't want to. Too many memories. It hadn't been his intention to do the things he had.... he didn't even know why they'd happened....they just kinda...did. Looking down in the water, he stared at his red-eyed reflection. [i] of all the people he could've chosen...why me?[i]
'' But do you even classify as a 'person' anymore?'' Adrian's voice responded

Giving the male the slightest of smiles, she stood up, her hand lingering in Lucas's a moment longer than it likely should have before releasing him. " You've chosen the wrong person to guide you around the grounds then. Even the royal family gets lost sometimes- the only people who truly know the lay of the lad are the gardeners. Even so, I can guide you to a few areas. There's the bridge over the river, the grotto, or the fountain. Those are the only areas I really know how to get to and from." she stated, glancing at the sky.
