Sail the Seas (Pirate RP Needs Members!)

Sinbad heard some chains rattling and opened his eyes. He looked in the corner of his eyes and saw Sonja. "Sonja...?" How did she get caught? He looked at her, trying to sit up again. His mouth was dry as he looked at her. This was his fault. All over again. Now they would both be hanged. And there was nothing anyone could do.

Sonja's deep brown eyes opened slightly, and although she was still dazed Sinbad's face came into focus. "Hey," she said, coughing. She struggled to sit up, revealing as she did so that the lower ten inches of her hair was missing. She glanced over her shoulder at the manacles about her wrists, and sighed. "Awfully ironic, isn't it?" she said, looking back at Sinbad. "Cut off my hair, changed my clothes, I even put on boots so I could sneak in, and I get tricked by some fool and his guards. Pisses me off, that does."

Sinbad watched her. At least she's not letting it get her down. He thought. He looked at her and whispered, "Better than mine. I backed right into it. Right out of the shadows." He winced as he felt the rope get tighter around his neck, still struggling to get his hands free.

Sonja made an angry huffing noise and stood up, looking around for something that might be able to pry off her shackles. "Yes, and I had to seduce a guard to steal his keys. Pity they took those, elsewise getting out of here would be quite a bit easier." She frowned, then looked at Sinbad. "You don't suppose any of my crewmembers will postpone the voyage for a dashing and heroic rescue, do you?" She sighed, then turned away, standing on her tiptoes to glance through the bars of the high cell window. "Scratch that, actually. They who falls behind, is left behind. They'll stick to the code, I suppose. Pirates, huh."

Sinbad sighed, staying straight against the wall. "Not all pirates live by that code, Sonja. I sure as h*ll don't." He closed his eyes and listened. When he heard footsteps, they sounded awfully familiar to him. He opened his eyes and looked up as a guard came in front of his cell. His eyes widened. It can't be...

"We're not being executed until dawn, Sinbad," sighed Sonja, staring boldly at the guards. "Just stare at them- scares the hell out of people." The guard in front of her cell shivered as her sharp brown gaze fell on him, and he backed up a step. Sonja's mouth quirked into a tiny grin, for she had played a trick she had learned long ago. If one narrowed their eyes ever so slightly and stared just hard enough, one could make their pupils slit like a cat's. It was useful, terrifying, and it had helped her frighten opponents in many a battle. "Leave," she said, voice echoing down the corridor. "Don't come back until dawn- evils lurk in the dark." She took a step closer, putting her lips next to the bars. "Ghosts... ghouls... demons... shades of those who were hanged withing these walls..."

Sinbad looked at the guard. He was about to say something but the burly man put a finger to his lips. Telling him to be quiet. As soon as the other guards were away, he opened Sinbad's cell and went over to him, cutting the ropes. Sinbad rubbed his wrists and gestured to Sonja. He watched the guy go into her cell quietly and take the chains off. The burly man made a gesture for them to follow him, sticking to the shadows.

[Oh, I had an elaborate rescue plan. Well, out the window that goes~]

Sonja blinked, letting her eyes return to normal, and glanced sideways at Sinbad. She stepped out of her cage and felt a clink beneath her cloak, smothering a laugh. She reached down, and held up a ring of keys. I guess I had these after all- silly me. She stepped over to Sinbad, and gestured at the man's back. I don't trust him, she wanted to say, but he had let them out, so she supposed she had to. "Come on, then," she whispered to Sinbad, following the man into the shadows. The guards had taken away all of her weapons, even her beloved Sabre.

Sinbad gave her one gesture. Friend. He followed the guard, noting how well he knew the place. As soon as they were out, he turned to the guy and hugged him. "Dubar, you old goatish brother of mine, where have you been?" He looked at his brother, right in the eyes. "Are the others dead? Or are they alive too?" Dubar smirked. "The others are dead. Except Rongar." Sinbad looked down.

Sonja stood awkwardly behind the two men, rubbing the places on her wrists where the metal had bit into her skin. "The others of my crew may or may not be coming after us," she said. "If they're caught, they'll be no escape. The youngest two- Rodney and Melody- are only ten. They'll be hanged all the same." She sighed, then said, "Sinbad, let me go back. I'll stay, maybe be hanged in the morning. They get the price on my head, and the crew goes free. You go free."
