she sighed and laid her head down "i have failed" she whispered

Winterstream called out ot Mintpaw." Could you please get some more cobwebs and poppy seeds?" She looked back down at Moonblossom. "What at?"

"my brother..wolves...i was supposed to gaurd him but instead..." her voice tails off "im not sure if he is dead" she gasps

Solarflame ran over to Mintpaw. "Mintpaw... Chillstar is dead. Will you come with me to get my nine lives? Unless Winterstream needs you for something..."

she almost crid but stopped herself "i must be strong!" she said and staggered up

Mintpaw looked at Winterstream, and then at Solarflame.
"Fine. Let me get something quick." He growled, and padded out of camp. Mintpaw grabbed some cobwebs, and wrapped some poppy seeds up in a leaf. Mintpaw padded back into camp, his fur glimmering. He set the herbs down infront of Winterstream, his mint-green eyes staring at her coldly, as if challenging her.
"I am going with Solarflame." He meowed, and padded back over to Solarflame.

Winterstream pressed the cobwebs on Moonblossoms wounds and gave her some more poppy seeds. "Have fun!" She called after Mintpaw, completely unpreturbed by his stare.

Solarflame smiled brightly at the apprentice. "I'm actually quite nervous..." she confessed as they left camp

"where is the leader? i must become a warrior!" she said staggering forward

Mintpaw looked at Solarflame.
Why should I care? But, instead, he pushed the thought to the back of his mind.
"Yeah." He meowed, his cold gaze staring straight ahead.
