Oilclaw nodded, "Yeah it's pretty dangerous if you don't know what you're doing or you're not careful." he gestured to himself looking down at his short legs, "My height makes it easier for me to slip into smaller spaces to work. Other cats who were born without tails also make great engineers since they don't have to worry about their tail getting caught while working." The tom shuddered slightly, "I've seen cats get hurt pretty bad while working that's why we need to be very careful while we work."

Sootstar dipped her head in greeting, "Good morning Jadetooth, I was wondering if you could do me a favor." she began "We currently have a rouge in our camp." Sootstar gestured over to the Machine Room entrance, "Oilclaw is currently showing her around, but something about this she-cat rubs me the wrong way. I was wondering if you could keep an eye on the two."

Jadetooth visibly stiffened at the mention of a stranger currently inside the factory, her tail flicking behind her in suspicion as her gaze drifted to the entrance of the machine room.
“I see..”
She quietly replied, turning back to face Sootstar.
“..But you don’t wish for me to be rid of her? Merely keep watch?”
She questioned quietly. She didn’t even like the thought of having a rogue in their territory, much less wandering around with one of their own.

Ebony hums, tucking her tail in slightly at the thought. "Although these things are cool, I think I'll be staying away from them..." She meows, frowning slightly at the machine. At least that one wasn't active. "Where to next?" She suddenly perks up, smiling at the tom. "What's the second coolest place? Nothing as dangerous as those machines, I hope?" Ebony saying she wasn't keen on danger would be a lie. Risks were thrilling. Even being inside this clan's camp was exciting! "Speaking of danger... How secure is your camp? It seems kinda wide open to everyone and everything, ya know? Do you have traps or something set up using your machines?"

The small tom let out a hum, "Well in the camp the next interesting place is the medicine cat's den but I don't know if Pumpkinseed around. The next interesting place is the scrap yard out back, we go out there to collect parts for the machines." Oilclaw thought for a moment at her question, "Unless you can scale up the building to get through the roof or broken windows the only place is the hole that we originally came through in the common room."

Sootstar shook her head, "There's no need, I just want you to keep an eye on the two, Oilclaw is a smart cat but he's not the greatest fighter so if she did choose to attack I'd prefer you to be near by." she sat down her tail covering her paws, "For a rouge she is unusually friendly..."

”Very well.”
She bowed her head before turning away, walking through to enter the machine room silently, when her blue eyes caught sight of the two cats a few feet away. She slowly proceeded to approach the rogue cat from behind, making her presence unknown as she stood directly behind her.

"This place is pretty big... I suppose if anyone did find their way in they might get lost." Ebony meows, partly to herself. "Whatever, who cares? Let's go grab some pieces for-" She pauses, her fur standing on end. There was someone behind her, she could sense them there. She turns around, an eyebrow raised. "Uh, hi? Who might you be? An assassin?" She purrs, her mouth twisting into a small smirk.

Oilclaw looked behind Ebony to see Jadetooth. Letting out a small gulp he smiled shakily at the deputy. "H-hey Jadetooth! What can I do for you?" His gaze quickly left the white she cat and landed back onto Ebony, "Ebony, this is the clan deputy Jadetooth. Jadetooth this is Ebony." He replied trying to keep his voice from wavering.

Jadetooth’s narrowed gaze remained on the she cat in front of her, with an unmoving expression in reaction to the rouges comment.
“...I’m here to simply make sure our.. guest, remains in line while you so generously show her around.”
The Siamese replied curtly, her cold gaze drifting to Oilclaw at his words.

Ebony glances between the two cats before her gaze finally settles on Oilclaw. She gives the tom a small, reassuring smile before facing Jadetooth. "Why would I want to cause trouble when Oilclaw here has been such a sweetheart!" She purrs, briefly flashing the tom a grin. "Besides, if I were here to cause trouble I would've done so a long time ago..." This cat was obviously going to be a tough nut to crack. Though if she wouldn't, she would definitely be fun to provoke. "Now, where were we before we were so rudely interrupted... Oh! The scrap yard, right?"
