Duskridge lowered her head as she exited the camp, not wanting to be out for much longer than they had to be to find her mate; though, the feeling worming in her stomach wasn’t one that told her everything was going to be okay.

She paused for a moment at a certain scent "Is that... Sunflare?" She parted her jaws once more to take in their classmate's scent, and try and pick up a definite trail

Darkpaw walked out of the nursery, after talking with his mom. Seeing his mentor leave on patrol, he sighed as he went to the fresh-kill pile. Seeing how low it was, he glanced around wondering if anyone wanted to hunt.

Duskridge’s eyes narrowed as the scent of her mate drifted toward her, mixed with a tang that the warrior knew all too well. She rushed towards it without another word, a gasp that sounded a little more like a shriek escaping her when she saw her mate bloodied on the ground, “No...” Duskridge whispered, her stomach lowering so it touched the ground next to Sunflare.

Something was off. She hadn't been woken up for training yet! The young she-cat scampered from her den, looking around for her mentor, but her blood froze. No...it couldn't be? "Sunflare!" she shrieked, stumbling forward with wide eyes, shaking.

Tornadostar - She-cat

Tornadostar ran after her deputy, leaping over the foliage and ducking under low hanging branches. When she finally skidded to a halt next to Duskridge, her heart nearly caught her throat and choked her. "Oh no..." She rasped with a broken shaky voice. She weakly walked over and crouched next to her daughter, and took in Sunflare's scent. It was mingled with death. They were too late. She closed her one visible eye with grief, and tears begun trickling down her face
