It might. It'd also be interesting
@ daisylin those are good suggestions! I'm all for it. And yeah, they could come across them. Are Demus and Virgil/Anxiety going to stay rogues for that long, though?

I agree. It could possibly be like bronchitis (non contagious from being exposed), and since it's a disease that's simply fatigue and weakness death wont really be that common from it. Goldenroot is a herb to help fatigue, but the only death that would happen from an illness like that would be muscle decay (this would take years to happen) starvation (also unlikely because there will be healthy cats to protect the ill) or common unknowing of the illness (which in this case would be the most common death from it)
I don't think killing the ill cats is the smartest idea because it would kill off not only half of the clan, but it would ruin a lot of drama and it would kill the roleplay quicker.
im not saying you have to listen to this padd, but maybe on of the traveling cats could fall ill during the travel, and since it's won't be contagious, it could stop the movement for a cure. And once they get there, those who are healthy have to fight to get the cure from gorsefoot.
(i love making up illnesses, sorry)
fun fact ; brindlehaze will name this illness when it appears "The fatigue cold"
cigarette... daydreams... you were only 17.

No I completely agree. Killing off cats is not what we're going for here unless someone actually wants to do that to their own character (not saying anyone should). And your other idea about one cat falling ill during the travel seems very good, I like it! If you or anyone else has ideas then by all means, say them. They all seem good so far

okay well so far, for basics of the disease that will spread from my understandings;
it causes extreme fatigue and weakness, which could become fatal to kits under the age of 4 moons
Some become infected and others dont, adding to the mystery of the illness
Cats won't die unless their owner wants this to happen!! (so bracken & squirrel are safe <3)
The cure is unknown, but traveling herbs and goldenroot are some supplements that can sooth symptoms for a short while (I'll make a supplement list later on after i do a little more research)
It is not contagious! You can only get this disease from pollution, smoke inhalation, infected wounds, and possibly malnutrition (All of these besides the pollution & smoke inhalation are pretty common in the warriors world)
One of the traveling cats will fall ill, and since it isn't contagious (but the clan will probably believe it is) the other travels fear for their lives and -possibly- take cover for a few days to see if anyone else falls ill.
Once they get to mossclan, those cats will probably decline them for a while because of the already ill cat.
padd you need you update the front page for mentors <3
that is all!
supplements ;
goldenroot ; helps fight fatigue, but can make one sick when too much is digested
brunet ; gives an infected cat more strength
chamomile ; used to sooth the mind and give traveling cats (or simply the infected) more strength. Preferred to give to those who are anxious because of their illness
Juniper berries ; also used to help strengthened weakened cats
lamb's ear ; another strength herb
ragwort leaves ; also helps with weakness
sorrel ; used to boost appetite (assuming those who become ill lose interest in eating, walking, drinking, etc)
cigarette... daydreams... you were only 17.
