Sagepaw remained silent, still quite shaken from the angry encounter with a warrior. He listened intently as Opalpaw and Tatteredpaw conversed, his ears flicking at ever detail. Suddenly, Sagepaw heard the familar thrum of paws above him, and he tilted his head curiously. 'They sound as if they're all moving at one time, drawn to something he didn't see. But that only happened when-' as if on cue, the apprentice heard Ripplestar's muffled voice, and he strained his ears at the entrance of the warrior's tunnel. "There's a clan meeting, I'm going up to see what Ripplestar has to say; I'll meet you up there." he spoke to Opalpaw, but also glanced at Tatteredpaw, his features laced with worry. Without another word he turned and padded up into the light, a warm gust of sea air blowing his whisker back. He instantly relaxed, home., and found a place to settle down. He noticed Tinyseal quietly conversing with Heatflight, and Creamflower eating, and a few more cats. But not everyone came to the call. His fur bristled as he realized how few of them remained. If something attacked now, Shoreclan would be more than outnumbered.

Bearfluff paused, panting (I'm thinking we timeskip training so things can get moving?), "Yes. I think that's enough for one day. You've both come along in you training. I'm proud." he gave his apprentice a playful swat with his paw before shaking out his pelt and composing himself. "Perhaps Rabbitstar will be awake now." he led the patrol back to camp, suddenly dreading the conversation with his leader that was to come. It would make it final. Real. His clanmates were gone, and they weren't coming back anytime soon. Bearfluff stiffened and held back a growl, branching off from the group to find Rabbitstar as soon as his paws hit the camp clearing. He quickly found the bright molly in a sea of browns and greys and picked his way over, straightening up. "I'm here, Rabbitstar," he called, padding to stand a few pawsteps from her. He swallowed, glancing at Whitelightning. "I'll let you finish before I interrupt on your conversation farther." the thickset tomcat sat down, his paws pressed together as he waited, his mind churning with how he was to tell her, or better yet, tell her how he planned to get his family back.
