Cassandra walked to the staff lunch room and sat down at a table on the side of the room. She took out her lunch, which was macaroni and cheese and an apple. Seeing this, she smiled. Her sister's daughter had packed it when she was over at Cassandra's house the night before. She was such a sweet child. Cass couldn't wait until she had kids of her own. Of course, she hoped to be married first... With these thoughts, she began her lunch.

Adrianna walked into the staff lunch room, and as usual, she had a smile on her face. But today, her smile didn't quite reach her eyes. She was lonely, and had no spouce, no real lover. She sat down next to Cassandra, and pulled out her lunch. It was a BLT and a banana. She took a bite of her sandwich, wondering if anyone noticed something was wrong.

Cass looked over at Adrianna. "Good afternoon, Adrianna. How are you?" She expected Adrianna to say fine, but she could also sense a bit of a different emotion. Sure, Adrianna looked cheerful, but also somewhat sad maybe.

Adrianna swallowed. "I'm okay, I guess. Just a bit lonely." she said. It wasn't her fault at she was allergic to dogs and cats. And she really didn't want a pet in the first place. "How about you?" she asked, peeling her banana open and taking a bite from it.
