- Other town residents are NPCs to be played by anyone. However, I'll play as residents when a Suspicious Event happens, along with whether or not they manage to get away. I'll PM clues to different Visitors for them to find after the event happens - just make sure you let me know you want your character involved in the event.

Full Name: Merrick Pearce.
Nickname: Merrick.

Appearance: Merrick's hair is naturally black, shaved short on the sides and back, though longer on top, where it's clearly quite curly, and the end have been bleached and dyed a pale pinkish colour. His eyes are dark, ambery brown in colour. He stands at 5'11", and has an athletic build with a little bit of muscle. He often keeps a fairly relaxed posture, though not slouchy, and has a little bit of facial hair.

Personality: In general, Merrick is quite a friendly and warm person, often willing to strike up a conversation and ask genuine questions when someone is talking about an interest of theirs. However, to strangers, he can be quite withdrawn and wary towards them to start with. He can't be too sure whether or not someone is friendly or a good person, but he tries to reserve his judgement until he really gets to know the other person, though he does have his first judgements that can affect how he'll act towards them. Once he knows that the other person is friendly, though, Merrick does warm up to them quite quickly. He's a loyal, trustworthy person, and tries to make good connections with other people. He can quickly become suspicious if he senses that something is off, though, and has a curious side to him that draws him towards digging deeper, even when he probably shouldn't. Merrick can be headstrong at times, and will act first before thinking, so he sometimes needs to be held back. He's also not scared of confrontation, and sometimes needs to be held back with that as well.

Short Bio: Born in a suburban neighbourhood, Merrick has always known a pretty social life - though that hasn't stopped him from taking the time to long for travelling, and planning where he wants to visit. His parents are on the mid-to-wealthier end of the scale, and have a fair amount of influence in their neighbourhood, as well as working well-paying jobs. Merrick has three siblings, an older brother, older sister and a younger sister, and he gets along with his younger sister the best. He came out as trans at the age of 16, and was incredibly nervous to do so, but was surprised by the outpour of support from his family. His older sister cut his hair for him, and his older brother gave him several clothes he'd outgrown, while his younger sister fiercely defended him at school. Thanks to his parents, he got started on T about nine months later. Then, he had top surgery at 19.
Merrick loves to travel, and is a music journalist for a well-known music magazine, which he's worked for for about a year now. Merrick's also something of a dancer, and takes regular contemporary dance classes, though it's not something he'd take up as a profession. Merrick hates invasive questions, and he has a fear of heights.

Role: The Innocent.
Appearance: Ezra's hair is a very dark brown colour, and is usually kept neat. His eyes are hazel, and he has fair skin. He stands at 5'9", though it's hard to really tell, considering he is in a wheelchair, but he keeps good posture. He has an athletic build, and does what he can to keep a decent figure - he has excellent upper-body strength, even if it doesn't seem like it. There is a scar on his left collarbone.

Personality: While usually sweet, Ezra is also rather naive. Still, he's rather social, loves to explore, and isn't easily scared off by people that are rude or cold towards him. He's also curious and very kind-hearted, often willing to lend a listening ear to anyone that wants to talk about their troubles. Despite that, he does not like sharing any problems that are on his mind with anyone else - and he also hides this by seeming like he's an open book. There are, however, a few things that will bring out a more unpleasant side to him. One of these things is someone touching his wheelchair, or trying to 'help' him around - if he wants help, then he'll ask for it, but otherwise, he's perfectly capable of getting around and doing things on his own. Just do not even attempt to coddle him, or he'll 'accidentally' run your foot over. The other is someone just outright insulting him or his family. Ezra might also get upset fairly easily, more so if something he is doing is not going right or the way he planned it to go. He tends to take even friendly or light-hearted criticism to heart, even if he doesn't openly show it.

Short Bio: Ezra was born into a well-off family, with a brother that is four years older than him. He often spent a lot of time outside, exploring, climbing trees, that sort of thing. His parents amicably divorced when Ezra was 10, and his father left the house - he still gets to see and talk to him, though. At the age of 12, Ezra had a serious accident after getting thrown off a horse and landing badly (which resulted in damage to his spine, leaving his legs mostly paralysed, and unable to walk), and so he's been in a wheelchair since then, but he's figured out how to cope and do stuff without needing much - if any - help. He can kind of stand up, but only if he's leaning or holding on to something, but even then, he'll be very unstable and can't do it for longer than a few minutes at a time. His mother has remarried to his stepfather, who he gets along well with. Ezra plays the harp and the cello, both of which he started to learn play around the age of eight, and he still loves to play now, and he's also recently started to pick up clarinet and saxophone. He's also starting to get into wheelchair basketball, which takes place outside of the school and school hours. He hates getting 'help' that he didn't ask for, and he has a fear of horses now.

theo is a charming guy with a lot of charisma, despite the fact that he does like to keep to himself. he loves the holidays but hasn't exactly found the right person that he wants to spend it with, he's always felt that too many people are interested in his looks but not for the person who he truly is so he likes to make sure someone is in it for true purposes and not just because he looks good. theo spends a lot of his time repairing cars with his father in their family garage, ever since theo could remember he's been helping his dad fix cars around the town. theo also hangs around town looking to see if any of the older residents need help preparing for christmas, he's quite the charitable soul and will always help if someone needs help.

amiyah is a hardworking and focused girl, she got out of pineridge as soon as she could. amiyah's been focused on her school work and hasn't had the money to come visit her family often but when she got word that her dad had gotten seriously sick she dropped everything immediately and flew to pineridge to visit him. amiyah was always close with her dad and he supported her when she decided that she wanted to leave pineridge and experience things on her own.

personality: cass is fairly easy-going and friendly, but he has a low tolerance for rudeness and is not afraid to stand up for himself or the people he cares about. he loves to lend a helping hand, even when people don't ask, which is part of what makes him great at what he does. while he doesn’t ever ask to be paid for his work, he always ends up gets paid anyways. since he loves fixing things, he almost always has something he is working on. he loves a challenge and rarely gives up on what he is doing. he also doesn’t mind a little bit of friendly competition.

history: cass was born and raised in pineridge by a single mom. she was a hard worker and always tried to give him the best life he could have. sometimes they didn’t have enough money to pay to fix things around the house, so cass would try and fix it himself. sometimes it made it worse, especially in the beginning, but he learned and got better at it. the gift-giving part of christmas was never a huge deal for cass. this was partly because his mom never really had the money to buy big gifts and crazy decorations. he also didn’t want her to be spending her money on buying him a gift. instead, he just wanted her to be with him and spend time with him on christmas.

other: cass is a handyman in many different fields, but he specializes in electrical and mechanical work. his project for the last few months has been fixing up a 1976 ford mustang II.
