Amaroq looked at Rowan, his eyes intense. "Actually, Rowan, I have something important I need to discuss with Nilah. It concerns the whole pack's welfare." He didn't wait for an answer, but instead started to look for the Alpha Female and found her jut before she ducked into the nursery. It wasn't that he didn't like the beta(though it was true he annoyed him at times), it was just that reporting prey problems was more important than a border patrol. Not to mention Rowan didn't need that many wolves for a patrol, four was more than enough. Not only did he need to report to Nilah, but he didn't like the way he talked to her, it was disrespectful, and Amaroq had returned that disrespect to the beta. He let his paws carry him to the nursery, but instead of going in he stopped outside. A deep breath was drawn into him before he slipped into the entrance. "Nilah, when you are done here I have something to report."

Nilah smiled as the mother's lay asleep in their nests, their tail warpped around their bulging bellies, Nilah chuckled and turned as Amaroq popped his head in, "Alright, just a second Amaroq" After a few minuted Nilah pushed her way out and shook her pelt, looking gratefully at her lead fighter. Sitting down Nilah sighed and wrapped her tail around her legs. "Yes, Amaroq what can I do for you?' she breathed. Nilah's ice blue eyes were slightly far away but her ears were perked towards the male as he was about to speak. Thoughts of birth made her heart stutter as she wondered as she always did, if she would ever have pups of her own or even a mate that loved her for her and not her rank. That also led to the thought of What was love like? Was it the kind of love of when spring came and the flowers and prey returned? That Kind? Nilah shook her white head "No of course not<" she muttred.

Triant walked slowly to his den, the male's head was held high and his tail flicked upward. Triant was grateful for Coraline and paid no attention to her craving looks of being alpha female he was oblivous to it all. Stepping on the rocks and leaping onto the hill he sat down and looked intensly at Coraline waiting "Well? What is the grand idea filling in your head Cora?" he asked the aplh's voice surprisingly calm and sweet as he looked at his 2nd in command.

_Rowan glared at Amaroq as he walked away. Granted, the male probably had something important to tell Nilah, but that gave him no right to be so disrespectful. He usually would only take three wolves with him to patrol boarders, but with the rising tension between the packs, he felt that there was strength in numbers. He would deal with the brute later. "Come on, guys." he barked sharply, padding out of camp.

Coraline smiled and sat down. She smiled sweetly and said "I know a male in the other pack, I've been watching him for a while and apologize for not telling you sooner but I had to make sure it would work before I spoke of it. He is from a pack who has been killed off and I once saw him scanning the area and asking himself if his family was alive.. All I have to do is lie to him and claim I know where his family is and voila! We have a pack spy who will do whatever we do.. I know exactly what we can do, get him to dig up dirt.. The best part is since he is already in the pack no one will suspect him..." She explained with a devious smirk. She watched her alpha for either approval or disapproval.. She smiled and her ears went out side ways and flat in an unsure position.

Sesshomaru finished marking the spots he needed to before starting off towards the hunting grounds. The tall grasses of the meadow he entered helped conceal his massive white form. His golden eyes scanned the area, looking for prey to hunt. They soon locked onto an elk, who stood grazing in the far end of the feild. Sesshomaru crouched down and slowly stalked forwards, staying downwind from the herbivore. The wolf cret up on it slowly, careful not to make any noises or movements that would give him away.

The elk continued to nibble on tender grasses, unaware of the wolf behind him. It snorted, chewing as its lips gripped and tugged on more juicy blades. The beast took a few steps forwards, moving on to a new patch. It was then that Sesshomaru sprung, spooking the deer like creature. It broke into a run, Sesshomaru following closely behind.

Amaroq examined her face, his paws restless until he reached her blue eyes. His body stood still as his own green orbs looked into hers that seemed far away, off-task. He was going to ignore it, pass it off as just alpha worries, that is until she muttered. "What's on your mind?" The voice asked suddenly, his soft lips moving slowly to form the words. "Besides your regular worries that is, I know you well enough to tell when you're thinking about something." The words came softly and gently, almost a whisper that floated on the air to reach her velvet ears. "Of course you don't have to tell me, if you want to I'm here to listen, Nilah. Always." His eyes sparkled dully, upset about the news he was about to say, about the possible news he may hear from his love. He yearned to be with her, be it as her alpha male, or anything else. He wouldn't mind being a loner if that's what she happened to be, though he knew his love was not yet returned. Perhaps someday it would be, but now was not the time. True, he loved her very much, but love was such an odd word, with so many definitions. He loved the way she smelled, she looked, the way she ran the pack. But what he really loved was the way she acted. Her fairness, her gentleness, her everything. He knew that some wolves would look down upon him and think he wanted Nilah because he wished to rule, but he wasn't a dictator, he didn't want to rule. In fact, he didn't know if he could take the pressure, but he would for his crush. He would die in her place, sacrifice everything for her heart, and fight for her protection. He knew that as lead fighter it was his duty to protect the pack, but the pack would be nothing without the alphaess. Silently he wondered if she wanted pups, or even a mate.
