Hi! Hope I'm posting correctly qwq

Normally I'm not a big anime fan but recently I've been watching the first season of the Bandori anime (My friend got me into the game and now I'm Kaoru Seta trash hghakhdfhjkasf) and I actually quite enjoy the sound of the Japanese voices even though I can't understand them which is why I have subtitles ^^'

I've also watched like four seasons of pok'emon and the first hundred or so episodes (they're only about 3 min each) of Chi's sweet home. I'm pretty picky I guess you could say but these have been great shows to me

Does anyone else watch/play Bandori?

Has anyone else heard of Chi's Sweet Home (It's kinda childish but honestly the cutest thing ever)

*What got you into watching anime?*
As a child I was watching anime without my knowledge. Heidi, Wickie, Bee Maja (I don't know wether these shows are calling this in English). Later I heard from some shows in a forum and start watching "Wolf's Rain" and "Elfenlied" I was very young so I was a bit scared xD Around one year later I saw One Piece and Naruto at a TV channel. Later there came Detective Conan and I watched all three shows a long time. This us how I came to anime.

I think for 8-9 years active

What are some your favorite anime?*
Oh I love maaany animes so I'll try to tell you my 10 favorites.
- Made in Abyss
- Black Butler
- Code Geass
- Psycho Pass
- Children of the Whales
- Charlotte
- Yuri!!! On Ice
- Attack on Titan
- Blue Exorcist
- Soul Eater
And of course many other shows and movies from f.e. Ghibli

Yes!

Have you ever done cosplay?*
Yes I made a Maka Cosplay from Soul Eater

What are some good recommendations for those just starting out?*
Death Note is a good anime to start. But I think it's very individual

I think fantasy, mystery, drama. Yes xD

Do you watch dubbed or subbed?*
Both. But I prefer dubbed

What got you into watching anime?
A friend of mine in the 7th grade spent a whole gym class ranting about Dragon Ball and Fullmetal Alchemist, and how those two animes had overtaken her life, and I thought, it must be good if someone literally would rather watch it then sleep, so I tried it ( I actually haven't watched either of the animes she was talking about yet lol)

(this is about to be really basic, I only have gotten reeaallyy into it in the past four months or so, so bare with me)
Black Butler, Blue Exorcist, Fairy Tail, Orange, Yuri On Ice, Death Note, My Hero Academia, Tokyo Ghoul

Do you also read Manga?
Yup, though I have to get it all from the library cause I'm flat broke, and they have a bad habit of having the first 15-20 and then not the rest (which is what happened to me with Blue Exorcist), so not as much recently

Have you ever done cosplay?
Nah

What are some good recommendations for those just starting out?
If you want to get into reading manga, read Death Note (before you watch it)
If you want to get into watching anime, start with something light, like Yuri On Ice, don't jump into a 500+ episode series

Literally all of it

Most dubs are trash tbh, so sub

woahh finally someone actually WANTS to hear my bad opinions on anime

1. i cant remember specifically what got me into anime but i know i was around 11 at the time and i had been playing stuff like chickensmoothie so i was around weeb culture regardless

2. ive been watching anime for just shy of a decade. unless watching dbz and pokemon as a kid counts

3. my favourites are popee the performer, bnha, jjba, tokyo ghoul, the devil is a part-timer, assassination classroom, death note, black butler, and probably some more im forgetting. i also like danganronpa (obviously) but the anime sucked. oh and avatar: the last airbender because im counting it as one because its essentially a western-made anime

4. i read manga sometimes but i have adhd & im probably dyslexic so... not very often

5. ive cosplayed but ive never done GOOD cosplay... yet

6. i have no idea what id recommend to anybody umm itd probably depend on what they like anyways. but i also feel like everybody should be legally required watch death note because its really good

7. i like shounen & some seinen. only sometimes shoujo if its really good

8. i watch subbed because i am an elitist /j
