The storm raged on as the black wolf gingerly crossed the slippery tree that bridged the gap above the river. He only slipped once, but it wasn't enough to shake his focus. Drogo continued to push along until he was on the other side of the river. His face was contorted in a mixture of focus, rage, and crazed wolf. There was no doubt in Drogo's mind that he would win, that he would lead his pack to victory. His yellow eyes looked back to observe his pack crossing the makeshift bridge. Some of them seemed uneasy, but the alpha didn't care. As long as they did as they were suppose to.

The lightning cracked through the sky, lighting the small den Azoreth had dug for himself. The thunder boomed causing his head to ring. The male had always hated storms. They brought headaches. "Oh well, guess I didn't want to sleep anyways." He mused to himself. Among the sounds of the storm, Azoreth could hear distant howls. Some came from the west, while others came from the east. A smirk spread on his face as the male stretched and stared out of the dens opening. "Seems others are restless tonight as well." The battle scarred timber wolf chuckled at the thought of the packs calling their own in. He had found amusement these last few months by watching the two packs battle tirelessly with each other. Neither really seemed to benefit from the wars, but they both suffered. That was fine by Azo. The more the packs warred, the less weak wolves survived. "Only the strong survive." Another flash of lightning streaked across the blackened background. Shadows of trees danced on the ground. And Azoreth waited patiently.

Before Ira could get too far, the huntress decided to finally grow a backbone. The white warrior laughed as Comet lashed out at her with words. Stepping forward, Ira snarled. "You're right, I don't know the pain of losing a pup. Because I wouldn't have left my pup alone out there to fend for themselves." The warrior puffed herself up to look bigger than she was. The rain pelted down on her face causing her glare to look more like a grimace. "You want anyone in this pack to feel bad for you about losing your pup, then maybe you shouldn't have been so secretive about it in the first place. All you've succeeded in doing is proving yourself to be a coward, and a liar. So go.....go find your lost pup. But don't ask for help in the process." Ira did feel bad for Comet in the matter of losing a pup, but she found it hard to show her true feelings considering the huntress had never mentioned a pup to anyone, nor had she ever confided in anyone about the possibility of bringing one home. In Ira's eyes, Comet was just an outsider passing through.

Thunder boomed and shook the land causing Alec to stir restlessly in his sleep. He groaned and scrunched his eyes tighter hoping to fall back into a blissful sleep. The rain was coming down harder now and pelting the hunter in the face. With a sigh he opened his eyes and looked around to the few wolves still standing out in the storm. At least he wasn't the only one not taking shelter in the dens. Though, he had had enough of it now. Alec stood and shook the water from his now soaked fur sending large splotches of water flying in every direction. It did little good. Slowly he made his way towards the hunter's den. He had to dry off and rid of the cold that chilled him to the bone.
