Me? Hide? Are you calling me a coward? Alright since you asked, there is one place i go to be alone. Partially hidden beneath a dead tree, nestled among the roots is a cave. Dark and warm it keeps me safe.

Its a secret spot, i use to escape the rumours. The rumours about my past, my present and my future. About my parenthood. They say my father, good old papa, who i never knew, was a kittypet through and through. I know what you're thinking, a big strong warrior like me, even remotely related to a fat, pampered kittypet? Yeah, its hard to believe.

But i can't help thinking, how can i refuse this? What if i'am useless. Like a bomb about to explode, can i defuse it? Well i hide from the greater truth. Down in my cave of one use. To cry myself an ocean, of salty sorrow. Can this be real? Will i be here tommorrow? Or will i bow to the greater god's appeal?

But i keep on moving, unless i be ruined. At a stalemate, not winning or losing. Do i survive, Or face my fate?

Prompt: Towards the south of Featherclan's camp during the beginning of new-leaf, lies a large field of wildflowers. Towards the edge of the vast field is a burrow, that had long been abandoned by its original owner. During leaf-bare when the field of wildflowers fades away, and the bright white snow replaces it, it can become slightly easier to stumble upon it.

During one fateful leaf-bare is when Duskheart had found it herself when she was still a loner. The burrow was safe and quiet, and if she just moved a bit of snow it became almost impossible to see unless you stumbled straight upon it. That is where she lived for a few moons, up until some Featherclan cats found her out in the fields. Finally having some company, she had reluctantly joined them.

While she enjoys her time with her new friends, she still can get a bit overwhelmed. When she does, Duskheart runs away towards her safe burrow, hidden away from the world, her own safe hideaway from reality. It calms her to be there, to be able to think freely in her own mind with no interruptions. Eventually, though, it doesn't take long for her to miss her friends, and so she wanders back to them, leaving her small safe space behind until another day.
