It'd help if you let us know what program you're using :3 on photoshop and clip studio you can shift the hue and luminosity to change the colour.
I'm not sure about medibang, I couldn't find the option. I haven't used firealpaca since I got clip studio, but I could have a look for you if you like?

The CS Artist role is an unpaid position.

What are the benefits of the position then? I'm really tempted to apply but my mind keeps coming back to this, since Id get no form of payment. And last I checked you can't advertise really money commissions on CS so I'd essentially be working for exposure. And any artists knows working for exposure is a big no-no.

exposure isnt always a no-no, it just doesn't pay bills. getting your name out there does help for some, though, especially if your username is the same across platforms or people contact you off-site on their own accord for USD work (rather than you coaxing them, for example). it doesnt need to reveal personal information to put in a strictly-art instagram bio(one without selfies or your address publicly accessible) or even a resume that youre an artist for an adoptable pet website.
I sign all my art with my middle name rather than my last name, so that my art is easily traced back to me without revealing anything against CS rules. While exposure shouldnt be the only thing artists seek out, everywhere, having some forms of exposure doesn't hurt either.

I hope that makes sense. I mean, ive been on cs since 2012, and i still manage to get $$$ commissions off site without advertising my art for usd here. I may link to my other platforms to make it easier to tell who is/isnt me, but the purpose of linking is so people can see my content wherever - not specifically profit!

tl;dr exposure isnt bad in and of itself, but you shouldn't go to someone specifically to haggle money into it. if its offered up front and the artist volunteers for it of their own accord (and isnt begged because "you cant afford it" or whatnot) its perfectly fine.

Ah I submitted an application... I think. I clicked submit and the page said cs was responding and had a lil ball bouncing back and forth for about 5 minutes, then I looked away and the page either... worked, or reloaded. If any of you know if there's a confirmed submit page, that'd be great help to me because then I'll know it didn't actually send.

If you head back to the application page you can see if your files are still queued up and if your text answers are still there. If they are, great! You're all set.

If they are not there then unfortunately it didn't save. Try submitting each file one at a time. You can edit your application as many times as you'd like (until applications are closed).

Hello, I have submitted my application but now I noticed I didn't tick the boxes in the picture. Should I tick them with a paintbrush?

Edit: I ticked the boxes with the text tool. :D

I feel a little bit like a fly. Hovering constantly around this thread.

I can't wait to see what shall come of this for new pets and seeing what everyone comes up with. ♥
But, I'm also incredibly hopefully-finger crossing for myself!

This question answer is probably 'whatever works for you' But would it be more prudent to provide examples [ of our design work] that are more reminiscent of consistent side views like CS has, or are alternative angles whatever so long as basic design ability is clear?

I'm unsure if that made sense oops.

What you choose to include is up to you; you do not need to provide examples that imitate CS styles/poses. We want to see what your designing and general artistic abilities are like, so any artwork you have done that you feel is a good representation of your skills should be fine!
