To break it down, it might be something like this:

Animal RPs
-- Fandom-based - Warriors, Spirit, Lion King, etc. go here
-- Fantasy Animals - wolves with powers, flying cats, dragons, etc. go here
-- Realistic Animals - regular horse herd, stray dogs, housecats, etc. go here
-- Semi-Lit+

Humanoid RPs
-- Fandom-based - Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games, etc. go here
-- Fantasy - anthros, vampires, shapeshifters, dragon-riders, etc. go here
-- Realistic - regular people with regular abilities in a regular world
-- Semi-Lit+

1x1/Invitational RPs

I rather vote for this grouping It looks tidy, but doesn't 'over-categorize' the rp boards. Mostly why I love the CS RP boards is the freedom it allows (no need to muddle over sci fi or whatnot, as long as you can classify between human and animal) -- i personally tend to dislike RP boards that have too much categories. n.n;

Edit: Clowesia > In addition to mainly cats and wolves, horses and dragons are a favorite too n.n

I agree, this would make it much easier for people searching for a specific type of RP to find what they want. Though I don't think Semi-Lit would need it's own category, as many of the above would all be semi-lit and that would sort of defeat the purpose for those looking to join a specific type of Semi-lit. For me, the biggest thing that should happen is a separate forum for 1x1 Rps, since there seem to be a drastic number of these. @_@

Anyway, I was wondering-there seem to be so many Harry Potter RP drifting about out there, but most seem to focus on the future generation or the previous one. Would anyone be interested in a RP that took place during Hogwarts' first year, when the original founders had just made the school?

Yeah, on thinking about it, the Semi-Lit+ category would be awkward because that would mean that all the other categories would be non-literate while the semi-lits were all thrown together. Maybe the extra separation would help reduce the non-literate posting rate issue enough that the semi-lits wouldn't get drowned out anymore, so an extra Semi-Lit+ board wouldn't even be needed. :3 A fourth category might be good though, if only for the sake of making them all fit nicely in the forum index. XD

Chry > True that sometimes people do make CS-based RPs... But then wouldn't that fit into fandom based RP? When I would do wolf roleplays before, we'd use our CS pets anyway to represent our characters. (Then again, this was like in 2008, I don't know if people still do it now xD)

Although I haven't been very active in the boards, but it feels a bit limiting to have a CS-pet based RP board n.n;

I'm deadly interested in trying my hand out at rats again - I only ever got to roleplay a rat once ~3~ I'm having enough trouble as it is though keeping up with one roleplay xAx I hope I can find time to join in~
