On the sleep paralysis topic, have you ever lay in bed and feel like you're on a swingset or something? Happens to me all the time

And occasionally if my radio is on, the music on it is in my dream.

AFAIK, ideas cannot be copyright and designs are ideas, so I don't see what's the big deal about having similar ideas as long as they are not the exact same.
If it's a complex design, I would understand if someone was a little mad. But if it's somethig general, like my character Sorrow, I think people can overreact a bit. Someone came to me freaking out because they thought someone stole Sorrow's design. Sorrow's a white wolf with blue and green stripes all over and an arrow on his forehead, and this person's character wa a white wolf with just 3 green and blue stripes goof down it's body. I just apologized to them that they were accused of cheating, and acruLly made art of their character to make up for it. xD
Well, very specific designs -- such as those of video game characters -- are obviously the producer's property and should remain so. I was talking in the sense that if someone imagines a design, then anything that's somewhat-but-not-really similar to it often gets blamed of theft. Which is downright silly. xDBerrynose wrote:I came up with a creative new idea for an RP and after I made it and got some members, one quit and made a copy of it ;.; I asked not to really make a copy of my RP... I didn't copyright it, though. But this person copied my forms and set up. Even the title.
As far as I understand it, you don't have to actually do anything to give copyright to a work of yours. If you've written it, then it's your intellectual property. However, I'm not sure how that would work for a RP, given that only your ideas are behind it, unless you've made some extensive writing as preparation for it.

And yes. Hi-C Fruit Punch Sucks. But all fruit punch sucks.

My boyfriend left at 7am for work as usual, but I was still very tired and figured I'd just turn around and sleep a couple more hours.
I have no idea why, but as soon as I laid back down again, I started to feel pretty panicky because of the darkness in the room. That's kinda lame, I suppose, but despite feeling this, I fell asleep at some point, because I know I was dreaming.
I was dreaming I was awake, while /knowing/ it was just a dream and not being able to wake up. I remember getting up in the dream and trying to turn on the lights, just to have them fail on me, so that I couldn't see anything but the overwhelming darkness. And I remember being able to run out of the room, outside the house where it was light, and seeing a cloaked creature slipping back to the room as I screamed at it.
I remember all of this as if it'd had happened while I was awake. I was. Awake and trying to wake up.
Not one of the most terrifying experiences in my life, but definitely scary knowing that you are awake but not actually able to wake up.
Has sleep paralysis ever happened to one of you?

I used to snap my head to the left and I would wake up if I got paralyzed in a bad dream. x3
