Hi-C lemonade is great, but their fruit punch SUCKS. Agreements/opinions? And what is YOUR favorite flavor?

On the sleep paralysis topic, have you ever lay in bed and feel like you're on a swingset or something? Happens to me all the time :(
And occasionally if my radio is on, the music on it is in my dream.

Last night i jerked and almost fell out of bed. At 4:00 in the morning I swear I started to cry or something.

And yes. Hi-C Fruit Punch Sucks. But all fruit punch sucks.

AFAIK, ideas cannot be copyright and designs are ideas, so I don't see what's the big deal about having similar ideas as long as they are not the exact same.

If it's a complex design, I would understand if someone was a little mad. But if it's somethig general, like my character Sorrow, I think people can overreact a bit. Someone came to me freaking out because they thought someone stole Sorrow's design. Sorrow's a white wolf with blue and green stripes all over and an arrow on his forehead, and this person's character wa a white wolf with just 3 green and blue stripes goof down it's body. I just apologized to them that they were accused of cheating, and acruLly made art of their character to make up for it. xD

Well, very specific designs -- such as those of video game characters -- are obviously the producer's property and should remain so. I was talking in the sense that if someone imagines a design, then anything that's somewhat-but-not-really similar to it often gets blamed of theft. Which is downright silly. xD

As far as I understand it, you don't have to actually do anything to give copyright to a work of yours. If you've written it, then it's your intellectual property. However, I'm not sure how that would work for a RP, given that only your ideas are behind it, unless you've made some extensive writing as preparation for it.

I know that I am very late to this one but I found a dead RP and I PMed the author of it and asked them if it was okay if I created another and added a few of my own Ideas but I would credit them. Link. :3 and I did it now has more posts than the dead one.

And to keep it on topic I realy dislike all Fruit Punch flavors only because I hate the taste of artificial cherry.

Fruit punch is ok. On the sleep paralysis subject, I haven't had that happen. But I have heard my little brother have night terrors (In other words, he was screaming in his sleep). Had to go calm the poor guy down.
Theres nothing here... beside me- and my butcher knife...

Hmm. That exsists? Well, I must have some. Only please, please, please make the fruit punch turn to orange soda.
Then I will drink/eat the sherbet punch.
Oh wait, we had that at my school. After the musical thing we preformed in the evening, we did a "cookie social," where we drank a combination of ginger ale and orange sherbet. Most people only could get the ginger ale because the frozen sherbet was...well...stiff, but I took the punch spoon and got a big scoop of it :P

Doesn't sorbet (NOT SHERBET) have alcohol in it? I think it looks good...but I'm not sure...

Damnath wrote:I know this isn't really debate-y but I just woke up, sort of.

My boyfriend left at 7am for work as usual, but I was still very tired and figured I'd just turn around and sleep a couple more hours.

I have no idea why, but as soon as I laid back down again, I started to feel pretty panicky because of the darkness in the room. That's kinda lame, I suppose, but despite feeling this, I fell asleep at some point, because I know I was dreaming.

I was dreaming I was awake, while /knowing/ it was just a dream and not being able to wake up. I remember getting up in the dream and trying to turn on the lights, just to have them fail on me, so that I couldn't see anything but the overwhelming darkness. And I remember being able to run out of the room, outside the house where it was light, and seeing a cloaked creature slipping back to the room as I screamed at it.

I remember all of this as if it'd had happened while I was awake. I was. Awake and trying to wake up.

Not one of the most terrifying experiences in my life, but definitely scary knowing that you are awake but not actually able to wake up. :(

Has sleep paralysis ever happened to one of you? :P

Oh, this happens to me all the time, I never knew it was serious. 8C I thought it was just a bad dream!

For example, one early morning (about three) I was trying to catch maybe an hour more of sleep before I had to get up for school at 6:40 (I can't fall asleep for some reason), and about five minutes after I closed my eyes (I fall asleep in 30min on good nights) fell into what I'd been calling "a semi-conscious state". A state where you weren't actually asleep, but dreaming vividly. (Skip to the ~~ if you don't want to read about my vivid nightmare)

Anyway, I hear a thump from the corner of my room nearest the door, which swings open soundlessly at a moderate pace, letting in... well, less darkness. There's not exactly any light, but you can see in the hall and not in my room. Oh, and my door had been locked.

I sit up in bed, heart pounding, trying vainly to see the source of the sound. I'm afraid of the dark to begin with, so I'm not exactly very calm in this situation. Close to the floor, I see what looks like a hunched-over human-ish figure, with kind of a scrawny teenager body type. It's not wearing clothes, has no features, no hair, and has paint-black skin. It senses me looking almost the instant I see it and darts toward the edge of my bed, out of my line of vision. Another one shoots to the opposite side of my bed without falling directly into my line of sight. They were both very fast-moving and didn't make much sound at all, more like light pattering noises when their feet/hands hit the ground. They moved oddly, not leaving their hunched position with their legs directly beneath them, yet they ran on all fours.

I scoot closer to my headboard away from them, and try to scream, but can't make a noise. They proceed to take hold of my mattress and raise one side at a time, back and forth, like a violently rocking ship. I still can't scream. After maybe a full second of this, the one to my left raises its side high over its head, dumping me into the arms of the waiting thing on my right. I can feel a tiny, muffled scream in my throat and wake up before I touch the thing, shaking. I felt the moving mattress and the fall, and felt pain under my nails when, in my dream, I futilely clawed at the higher end of the mattress to try and get away from the thing. I woke up still feeling a rather dulled, but similar, sensation of being moved violently and pain.

~~I'd made a scream-y whimpering noise irl, which was why I had such difficulty making noise in my dream--you can't exactly control your physical body while unconscious, yet somehow I'd managed to. That's why I figured I was semi-conscious and not actually sleeping. It looks like maybe I was half right. But in paralysis, you can't move, and I moved my larynx... I don't know. >_<;

Edit: Typically I can "talk" and "move" in my dreams, but in these they're impossible.

I used to snap my head to the left and I would wake up if I got paralyzed in a bad dream. x3

Well, the thing is that it's not really a 'bad dream' per say, more of a disconnection between your waking body and sleeping mind. It is actually impossible to move in that way during sleep paralysis. If it where that easy, it wouldn't be such a struggle to deal with. x3
It may work for dreams, but not for Sleep paralysis.
