ia. his family dined on the best food, drank the best wi
ne, and wore the best clothing, while their people starv
ed. the nobles began to grow distaste for the king as hi
s power grew. eventually, a council of noblemen came t
ogether to assassinate the king. once this was done, his
widow and young children were banished to the isolate
d islands to the east. now there is an enormous vacanc
y, a new ruler needs to be chosen. the powerful familie
s have decided to come together for one last ball, one
last party to make alliances and arrange marriages bef
ore full-blown war breaks out between the major noble
houses. very soon blood will be spilled, promises will b
e broken, and enemies will be made. good luck.

the golding house rules over the rich kester islands off of the southern c
oast of avaria. their house seat is at sage manor. this house is known for
passionate rulers with striking features and tanned completions. their ho
use colors are green and gold. the animal of house golding is the golden
hawk which is found throughout the kester islands.

house bellhill, as you can imagine, rules over the hilly plains of west ava
ria. their seat as at valley keep, which is perched upon the tallest hill in
their territory. the rulers of house bellhill are known to be down to eart
h, skilled hunters, with long brunette hair and bright green eyes. their c
olors are pale blue and gray. their house animal is the valley deer.

the lychester house rules over a small area in the center of avaria which
is heavily wooded and well known for it's swordsmiths and warriors. the
main seat of this house is at the iron fortress. the main thing house lych
ester is known for it's rulers who always lead their armies into battle, a
re courageous and battle-scarred. even the men of house lychester wear
their hair long and braided and their women fight alongside them. their
colors are green and black and their house animal is the badger.

house winterport holds areas of avaria that no other house wishes to hav
e. they rule the largest area of any houses, the whole north of the land
mass and it's icy isles. their seat is at blizzard hold. winterport's often sp
ort raven black hair with frosty blue eyes. however, occasionally a child
of the house is born with completely white hair and porcelain skin. most
people of this house are known to be distant but very loyal. their colors
are sapphire blue and white and their house animal is the snow raven.

this house rules the last portion of avaria, the rocky southeast. the ston
eward house seat is at windmont castle. the people of this house are on
es you do not want to mess with. they are known to have quick, fiery te
mpers and are also known to be very religious to the faith of the eleme
nts (i will go more into depth about this religion later). most stonewards
have bright red hair and are very tall. their house colors are lilac and lig
ht brown and their house animal is the rabbit.

the house of blackmyre no longer controls any land in avaria. this house
was the house of the former king, which is almost extinct. the last mem
bers of this house have been exiled to the icy isle which are controlled b
y house winterport. their former seat was at the sterling palace and the
y used to control the royal territory which is a small area on the west co
ast along the byrch river. this area currently doesn't belong to anyone be
cause no house currently sides on the throne of avaria. the people of bl
ackmyre house are known to have long black hair, porcelain skin, and cr
ystal blue eyes. they are known to be strong leaders but often fall victim
to sickness as their immune systems are very weak. their house colors a
re crimson and black and their house animal is the phoenix.
